We were coming in from out of town for thanksgiving and they were closed that Monday. They opened their doors for us and cooked us some amazing fried lobster, waffles and home fries. Nicest people and fantastic food. Can’t say enough good about this place!
Have been coming for YEARS! Today I enjoyed Sunday dinner sweet potatoes cabbage pinto beans fried chicken fried fish hot water cornbread Mac n cheese heart of South Memphis . Brunch food is good-all food is always good!

The most slept-on soul food restaurant in Memphis! But ya'll keep on sleeping, he sells out of food quickly and I want it to be enough left for me!!! 🤣

Small family operated restaurant with few items on the menu but is integrated in the community and practicing free meal for all needing once a month.
My sister and I were on vacation in Memphis from Florida and heard such great reviews about this restaurant and I just had to try it. However, when we called they were closed for renovations, but that did not stop Mr. Tolbert from stopping his repairs and opening up his restaurant, and I am so glad
