Ok, we had a bad experience at another local fish market and decided to give Menemsha Fish Market a go. We are so happy we did, we ordered the hot butter lobster roll, bun was toasted nicely and it came pre-buttered but wasn’t mushy, didn’t seem microwaved like some other places and had great taste. Not a lot of seating but right on the dock and a quick walk to the beach. We will definitely be back!

This is the best fish market on the island. Everything is fresh, especially the lobsters, any size you want. Then there are prepared and precooked items as well as made to order plates. Prices are better too. The staff are very friendly and knowledgeable. That gave us a quick primer on what types of lobsters to order, the best season and what to look for to get the best lobster. The smoke bluefish pate is excellent with roasted bread. The lobster fresh and just. The oysters are the freshest we've tasted, large, very juicy and delicious. The price is unbeatable. They are locally caught from Edgartown so don't miss them.

A perfect place to dip in for a quick bite and enjoy a nice lobster roll and a cup of chowder. The place was very busy, but they had my lunch ready and served within five minutes. Friendly staff and lots of cool things to look at while you wait. I stop here every visit!

Hot lobster roll was amazing and ready in less than 5 minutes. Barely any wait. Had to wait over 30 minutes just to order a lobster Mac and cheese at Larsen’s next door. I highly recommend this place. The roll was soft, super buttery and lobster was very fresh. Don’t let the dingy appearance fool you

Amazing chowder and lobster rolls. For some reason the “other seafood place” next door had a long line and Menemsha Fish did not. Both are great but I think Menemsha is slightly better. Great prices (for MV), good service, fantastic location and I highly recommend! It’s takeout only or seafood for cooking at home. There are also benches by the fishing boats out back, jetties and a beach to eat your delicious lobster rolls and chowder on! Magnificent town with great views as well.

Just the absolute best. We don't live in MA anymore, but we try to make it to the Vineyard once a year. The thing I look forward to most is going here to have a lobster roll. I've had my fair share, and this is by far my favorite. The perfect buttered roll and the best lobster on the island. Can't recommend this place enough.

Best lobster, clam chowder, lobster bisk on the island ! Bring your wine and watch the sunset behind fish market while the lobsters are being brought in by the fisherman.

The very bestest most favorite seafood spot in the world. Always hitting this place first thing when we arrive at the island. The absolute benchmark of raw seafood

Came here on July 4th for the most delicious dinner after cruising around the island. The lobster dinner, lobster roll & chowder were amazing!! SO fresh and the prices were very fair, it’s BYOB and loved the laid back atmosphere of eating outside looking right out to the docks & fishing boats. Can’t wait to visit again 🦞

Nice local joint. Pricey, but expected. Most of the fish product is from elsewhere, but it looks fresh. Friendly service.

It does not get anymore fresh than this. From the boat to the dock to the backdoor. Lobster was insanely good. Seafood nachos were undercooked, got cold and soggy quickly. Reminder - mostly dry area, BYOB.

Reasonable prices and great selection. Very cool seeing a 50 year old 8 pound lobster. The fish monger was very helpful and made sure we got exactly what we wanted.

Had lunch at this place. The lobster bisque was ok perhaps if it were hot it would've been better. It was room temperature when I got my order & ate it. The lobster roll was okay, I've had better. I really liked that the shrimp were cleaned thoroughly. I had the steamed shrimps and they were pretty good. The halibut was a very generous portion and it was also pretty good.

300 year old; still active fishing village. Had to get some seafood. Being from New England it has to be a cold lobster roll. It was delicate yet perfectly balanced with celery to Mayo and lobster ratio. We were on a tight schedule so we couldn’t expose more and I wish we did.
