Long long line to order hot food. Then a 15-20 minute wait to get the food. I ordered a hot buttered lobster roll which was delicious but the bun was a bit soggy. The clam chowder was tasty but very thin and milky with too many potatoes and too few clams. The next day we picked up cooked lobsters fo
Located in Menemsha Bay on the Vineyard, Larsens fish market speaks for itself. For fresh local seafood this is the place.
Why were we here? One word, OYSTAHs (oysters) lol.
All fresh seafood is at Market price or they have special for oysters, usually dozen for $30.
We had half dozen of Katana Bays
It’s a vibe here. We went mostly for the lobster roll and the hot butter roll was tasty for sure. I also had a small clam chowder. We pretty much took a dip, had a bit, and hopped back on the bus. Worth the adventure, even minus the sunset.
We tried the crab cakes, stuffed clams, stuffed scallops, clam chowder, and warm lobster rolls (warm ones are made to order, and cold ones are available for grab-and-go from the refrigerator in the waiting area), and all the food was delicious and reasonably priced for the area. The stuffed scallops
Part market. Part take out. Fresh fish, oysters, spreads. We got both warm and cold lobster rolls. Oddly the cold were significantly cheaper which seemed odd. Either didn’t have a toasted and/or buttered bun but still solid lobster roll. Nice touch was the fresh seaweed salad in the fridge. Just not
Food is always fresh and delicious. You can eat right by the fishing boats or go on the beach. They also have good lobster price. Get yourself a wine or beer because Menemsha has no Liquor store. Make sure you don't rush for sunset because hard to find parking during high season.
If you are on Martha's Vineyard, you absolutely cannot skip Larsen's! Their fish is straight off the boat, fresh as can be! The lobster roll oozing with hot butter cannot be beat. Pull up to a picnic table and savor the best lobster around!
The absolute best way to eat a lobster in the world. Bring your wine or grab a soda down at the Texaco and feast away.
Love love love this place! Was at Martha's Vineyard for my birthday at the end if September and drove to Menemsha to Larsens. Best stuffed clams, quahogs ever. Also had the seaweed salad, stuffed scallops! Can't wait til my time at the Vineyard!
Fish looked great. We got a lobster roll, lobster Mac & cheese, lobster tomato bisque soup. Everything was great.
Travellers, Larsen fish market has a fantastic selection of fresh, locally sourced seafood. Everything is delicious and reasonably priced. When you walk in the door it smells like fresh seafood. This fish is right off the boat. If you are in menemsha harbor be sure to stop in to Larsen for a lovely
Legit. Best fish market on island. Staffed by owners, family and trusted friends. All are knowledgeable and generally awesome. Littlenecks are my go to, but cherrystones, oysters, lobster are all outstanding from the take out window. The smoked bluefish spread... get some. Sole.... yum
My wife and I both had the lobster bisque. It was amazing, very delicious, very filling Don't miss this place because there's a whole lot more to love. Lots of live lobsters and great fish. This is a wonderful restaurant.
Fantastic place to get fresh fish and feel like you’re buying right off the dock from the fishermen, who’s fishing boats are right out the back door. I’ve had blue fish, flounder, and fish cakes from Larson’s and all have been great. I also love their bluefish pate.
They have the best lobster rolls on the island. It’s a drive if your coming from Edgartown. I definitely recommend calling ahead and order the lobster roll with butter. It’s out of this world yummy!! Price was $16.00
Mask are required
