Mio Modo Trattoria

It was our first time at Trattoria Mio Modo. It has a pleasant atmosphere and the wait staff, though still a little green, was very friendly and eager to please. The food was excellent with a presentation pleasing to the eye. The wine list offered good selections and pours were generous. The desserts we had were also very good. Norma and Chef Martin stopped by our table for a brief chat. It is obvious they have a passion for their work and delight in pleasing their customers. An excellent addition for the Region's Italian cuisine connoisseurs. We will be back.

I love Italian food and this restaurant, after my first time visiting it, will be my new favorite Italian restaurant. The Red Pepper Soup was delicious, and was an excellent intro to my pasta dish, which was extraordinary. I highly recommend it for a romantic dinner with your significant other. Put this restaurant on your Friday-Night Date-Night list. It's well worth it. And P.S. the coffee with the cinnamon flavoring was dessert.

A group of my friends and I chose this place based on reviews. Honestly save your time, money, and gas because this place has the WORST customer service I have ever seen. I don't know who this lady was, but she was part of the staff and she approached me with corn hanging out of her mouth. She tried to force me into the rain even tho Google has it down for 10pm closing time. The lady was rude, nasty, and she suggested that I wait at home. If I could give this place a 0, I would. Matter of fact -5. Don't waste your time! ITS A FLOP!

Food was excellent and hot when came to the table. Service was terrible. We had 2 waiters, triping over each other one did not know when other was bringing drinks. Back and forth as well with trying to order food. Waiter tried talking me out of what I wanted to order. When the food came they asked if we wanted grated parmesan on the meal. Multiple people at the table replied yes. By the time they came back two of us were done with the meal, the other two half done. Parmesan should be grated and spread across the meal, waiter plopped a pile on in one spot. Kinda hard to spread around. Need some wait staff desperately.

The decor was nice, that's what the one star is for. I had a bloody Mary for a pre dinner drink, but there was way too much vodka in it . If you had a new bottle of vodka and put a splash of V8 into it with 2 olives and a straw, that was your drink . And I ordered a mussels pomodoro for a appatizer , and a sea food pasta for the main meal . The bread that they offer you was hard. Then the waitres comes out and says there are no mussels , ok fine it's not like the end of the world . So that should not be added to the bill. The main dish was supposed to have mussels in it with scallop, shrimp , claims and calamari. Well the claims shells were nice and big but the claim were kind of hard to find , and for the mussels there were none . The calamari was way to chewy, and the scallops tasted burnt and for the shrimp was not the greatest, ,,,, I didn't even finish half of the meal and asked for the check. The waitres asked me how was everything I told her what I thought of it . Then she gives me the bill . The bloody Mary was over priced at $7.00 for the size of the glass it came in . The mussels pomodoro that never came was priced at $13.00 and the sea food pasta was supposed to at menu price $22.00 . But she said I'll charge you $9.00 because there were no mussels in it . And $2.00 tax total $31.03 I tell her you never reduce the price of the pasta meal it was still at $22.00 . She added the $13.00 along with the $9.00 that brings it out to $22.00 . I bring this to her attention and she keeps on insisting she just charging me $9.00 for the main dish. Well that was a new way of learning math . Let's just say I'll never go back to that place again , and for those of you that do visit this place , well you might be thinking I should have went to olive garden instead .

This was our first time at this place. The wait staff needs more training on the little details. Food was good and served promptly - prices I thought were a little high. Mixed drink prices are way out of line for what you get - tangueray gin & tonic was 9.00 in a juice size glass. Beers prices for imports were ok at 5.00/bottle. We had a NWI Times local saver discount coupon we purchased to use at this restaurant. The manager would not accept the mobile phone scan code image - He stated that he needed a paper printout to avoid screenshot theft as he put it. Really, this is 2017 - all places we have been except this one would scan the image. They were not very accommodating on that. You would think for a new place they would try 110% effort to make a good impression and not be difficult. So then we mentioned the 25% off coupon in the paper for one entree - we could not find the coupon in our car - did not get that either. If they address the aforementioned items it will be a much better experience.
