My wife and I were on our family vacation and we got a night away. We chose to go to Sonny’s, which came highly recommended- and we were excited that it lived up to the reviews! Our waitress Elle (maybe Ella) was charming and pleasant. Very attentive to our needs and overall quite wonderful!!
We ordered a sampler - and totally understand why it is a favorite!! Tender meats - magnificently smoked - and options for multiple original house recipe BBQ sauce! Our taste buds were dazzled and we left, adding this to a favorites list for when we return!!
Server was friendly, quick, and attentive! Place was spacious and clean. Food were huge and delicious! Come here if you’re craving bbq and wanna pig out! Love their family meal. Please add more cheese on the loaded Tater Tots! Everything’s tasty!
I loved this Sonny's more than the one in St. Petersburg! Extra friendly & courteous staff. And the food was AMAZING!! Those ribs, even without ant sauce were juicy, succulent, & flavorful!!

I would recommend this Sonny’s for any and all dine in, carry out, or catering. The food was hot, the meat was perfectly moist and seasoned. The kids devoured the Mac and cheese quickly, and the cookies were huge and delicious. There wasn’t anyone that left that lunch hungry. Thank you for working with our budget and for going out of your way to show support for our school and the team. We appreciate you and all of your efforts. Thank you! I usually come to Sonny’s for ribs, I switched it up this time and ordered the dry rub chicken wings fried crispy. Glad I tried something different because they were awesome. Miles was our waiter he was awesome, checked on us making sure everything was alright, refilled our drinks as needed, very courteous and polite. Thanks Miles Great job!!!!
This Sonny's location is not bad relatively clean and not crowded during the afternoons. They offered fast service and the menu is easy to read. Also has a drive thru. The restaurant menu mainly beef, pork, chicken barbecue style plates. Sonny's is very good if one is in the mood for barbecue.
Cons:
- Front attend does not greed people coming in to dine.
- tables are very sticky and a bit dirty.
Drive thru review-
The location of the drive-thru was easily accessible and wide enough for larger vehicles. The menu was clear and they didn't rush you when you needed a minute to review the menu. I placed my order and the girl repeated the order back to me for accuracy. When I drove around to the pickup window, I was greeted professionally and my order was repeated to me and then I was handed my receipt. I was offered all sorts of condiments for the sliced pork sandwich on garlic bread with fries and a freshly brewed iced tea. The pork had great flavor and was NOT dried out. I was offered either bun or garlic bread for my sandwich. I chose garlic bread, which was barely toasted which made it soggy. But it didn't keep me from eating it. The fries were crinkle cut and they were perfectly salted and fresh. Iced tea was fresh - and had melted all of my ice before I got out of the parking lot, but was refreshing.
I have never had a bad meal here. The food is cooked to perfection, served in a timely manner by a helpful staff.
The food was good, the service is good, the place is super clean and the atmosphere is great. The only thing that I can share with you that I wish I had known is they have unlimited BBQ for $25 (not on the menu) and I got the sampler which was amazing but it was $18 and I would have happily gotten the all you can eat.

We went for the pork sandwich special and the food was good and the service was outstanding. One of us got the pork sandwich with fries and the other one of us got it with beans. Skip the fries. They weren't crispy, just barely done. The baked beans were VERY good, don't miss those. We both ordered the sandwich on garlic bread.... so much better than a roll. You should ask them to cut it half for you in the kitchen because it isn't easy to do that with the knife you are given at the table. We will be back!
Service was great, food came out hot and quick. Everything was delicious and waitress checked on me frequently. Very pleasant experience.
Food came quick and was decent! I always find Sonny’s meat to be a bit fatty/gristly but other than that it was good! Our server was fantastic!
Good food as always and our server was attentive and friendly. A little frustrating that apparently only the dishwashers are able to restock toilet paper in the restrooms (over an hour after I told a staff member, it still wasn’t changed until I complained)
