I had a combo plate which was rack of ribs, and smoked chicken, fried okra, and macaroni and cheese, it was all delicous. The staff was attentive and friendly. The beer was ice cold and served in a mason jar. I definitely recommend this place, and yes I will be back.

We ate Waldo's in Mesa on Main Street the food was awesome to say the least but the service could have been better and there was a crowd of employees next to the cash register. Other than that everything was wonderful!

Food was terrific. Meat filled baked potato excellent. Had brisket sandwich memphis style and beef was tender and Cole slaw very tasty. Can't wait to go back wish they had one here in STV area.

Great BBQ good service friendly . Been going several years will always go back. The meat just falls off the bone. I advise you visit Waldo.

First timers here and the question is… why was it my first time?! Grew up in Mesa and I have no answer to why I have never been here, but we came in on a Monday right before the evening rush and everything was fantastic, from the service to the food! I had the Brisket Sandwich (lean) with spicy fries and my other half had the Catfish with cowboy beans and cornbread. The food was fantastic and so was the BBQ sauce! We also took the bread pudding dessert home and it was delicious, as well. Colby, our server was attentive and the gentleman working at the front counter had a great personality, as I heard him serving some of the to-go guests. What a great experience. We will be back…. again tonight because it was that good and this will be a regular go-to on the list!

Waldo's became a favorite when we lived in the area 10+ years ago. So nice to dine here this afternoon. I miss the free corn bread that used to hit the table when you arrived like chips and salsa at Mexican restaurants- that was really Awesome back then. Pulled pork was perfect, "The Pig". Service was fantastic, and they had Belle Two Herat Ale on tap. Something did not agree with my stomach... otherwise I would have given a 5.

Had the pork burger. It's a perfectly cooked hamburger with pulled pork piled on top of it! The pinto beans and fried okra were also awesome! Great pulled pork! Came back again today for the Super Platter with Ham, pulled beef, pulled pork and of course beans and fried okra! MONEY!

Excellent!! I knew just from the smell when I pulled up! Parking is good, feels like a smokehouse meets a diner that meets a dive. The food was amazing, the service was excellent! Drinks come in Mason jars, lots of really funny signs on the walls. I will be heading back soon! Update: went back again! Tried something new... very impressive! I was extremely full! It was delicious! Highly recommend! I will back back! Update... I went back... its just that good.

Came here straight after arriving at the airport and the food was delicious. The server was excellent and attentive and the decor was charming. We ordered the sampler with pulled pork, beef brisket and sliced ham, the super sampler and half pounds of baby back ribs. The sides we got included beans, potato salad, coleslaw, cornbread, and Mac and cheese. Delicious smoky BBQ and tender ribs.

Yup. If you're local then you already know about this place. As you walk into this barbecue joint. You know they do barbecue. The atmosphere is good and casual. The food is good. Could do with some improvements. But overall. Well done. Service is good. The mason jars for drinks are an added plus. And my suggestion is if you're getting French fries. Make sure it is made fresh. The "jerk sauce " is good. But I could use a bit more to it. Also, look for their dining room specials.

I'm not local, My first time here, the waitress (Pam) greetings everybody at the entrance, she was friendly, I ask what was the best dish there, and she said popular the sandwich, but all the food here is good, so I got half rack any ribs, with coleslaw and mush potato, very good, the place is clean, the ribs where awesome

The Peach Cobler with ice cream tastes like my Dutch oven cobbler I used to make with Boy Scouts. It is Definately worth ordering first then take the rest of the great food home!

I love this place. My husband and I go regularly. I gave it a 4 simply because I'm not in love with their sides. But the BBQ is GREAT. Love the Saint Louis ribs. Love the pulled pork. The onion rings for a starter are AWESOME! The staff is super nice! The seating is old but it has real neighborhood hang out vibes!

Everything here is great. As soon as you walk in the door you can smell the smokey aroma. You know you entered BBQ heaven. The service is excellent, prompt and friendly. The pulled pork is amazing. Good smoke flavor and tender. Ribs are fall off the bone delicious. The portion sizes are ample to say the least. You wing go home hungry. Youll be a porker when you are done. The BBQ sauce in the skillet is a great complement to the food.

What a fantastic place. Trust us this is some of the best restaurant BBQ we have ever had. Pork was juicy as was the brisket. Onion rings were some of the best we have ever had. If you're in Mesa go check this place out. Our waitress was the best too!

It's BBQ, nice smokey flavor to the brisket though, and very tender with just enough fat., Poor Scott was running like a mad man. Y'all need help? I gotcha.. place was busy as Thursday seem to be Senior discount night, one whole section was not even being utilized though. Anyway cute signs and cozy worn in kinda place, almost as if they picked it right off route 66 and dropped it on Main St. 😉

I really liked the brisket and the beans. The sauce was also really good. The service was also good, and the place was clean. It wasn’t very warm when they served it, so that is why I didn’t give it 5 stars.

Came by for lunch today, I got the sampler with ribs Mac n'cheez and a baked potato. Service was good food was great except for the brisket wasn't smoked long enough was alot of unrendered fat, everything else was great. The Mac was really good so was the pork.

The brisket was good and the nachos were delicious. The bbq sauce is really good. The sides are where they lack. The mac and cheese and fries were not good at all.

If you find yourself in Mesa, make sure to stop here. Catfish was super good. Pulled pork was spot on and their homemade BBQ sauce is top notch.
