We had lunch there yesterday and had the most amazing food---alcapurrias, rice and beans with pernil and tostones. All fresh, delicious and served with love. If this place was near my home, I would be in serious trouble. It's that good. I love the people here as much as the food. Thank you guys for always giving us a warm welcome.

Truly a tast of Puerto Rican cuisine! My wife and I love Millie's Cafe and truly believe the food and staff are totally worth the almost 20 mile drive from North Scottsdale!

I've tried other Puerto Rican food in the area, but will always and forever be a patron of Millie's Cafe. The food is authentic and just how I remember back home. Arroz con pernil is my fave, along with her pasteles! Best Puerto Rican food in the Valley, hands down!

Great service and great food! The pastelillos were light and delicious. The cubano was the best I have had. It was simple and delicious. I was very happy they didn't try anything fancy with the food. Great food doesn't need to change.

I love Millie's! It does take a while to get served but it's worth the wait. The food is always so fresh. Reminds me of home. I drive almost an hour to eat here.

Boricua from Carolina, visiting from Oakland, CA, and I was very impressed with the sazón in their cooking! The meat was tender as silk and the mofongo was the top! Bien chevere!!!

Very nice and clean little hole in the wall. Nothing fancy here. Just great, authentic Puerto Rican food. Simply order at the counter and they bring your food to you. Thanks for a nice experience.

Best Puerto Rican food around the Valley. The tripleta sandwich is the best.

Nice latin restaurant. Low key atmosphere like in a local place in Puerto Rico. They have some music on Saturday from 5-9pm. The mofongo stuffed with shrimp was very good and they have malta India .

As a gringo, I cannot vouch for Raices' authenticity but my Puerto Rican coworker says it is very authentic. I thoroughly enjoyed my Mofongo Relleno Con Camarones. The bowl seems modest but it is extremely filling. I think it could feed two. I also loved the quesito! Be sure to budget extra time during busy times because the service was not rapido.

This place tastes great! This is a Puerto Rican Restaurant, I like the taste of the food! The service was great! The people are very friendly. If you have never tried this type of food, shut up, stand up and walk to your car, and find out how good different types of food can be! I do want to know what you think of it. Hit me back! Peace Out!

So glad this place is here! Even the rice is flawless. My only regret, is I got too full to try any of the dessert. Gotta go back for more 😋

After I met two great women married to Puerto Rican men, I was introduced to some amazing good food. Lechón, arroz con gandules, tostones, mofongo. After they moved from here, me and my hubby found this jewel of restaurant in Phoenix. Great food served by very friendly staff!!!! I still hope to try the lechón one of these days 😎

We contacted Raices to cater our wedding and we couldn't be happier or more grateful for the quality of food and service they provided. Ben was very easy to work with; he was highly communicative and organized. The crew came in and was able to set up quickly and quietly, and had everything ready to go on time. To say that the food was delicious, would be a complete understatement. There were no left overs, and every person at our wedding was delighted by it. Myself being half Puerto Rican and Cuban, I gladly give it my certification of deliciousness! Thank you Ben and the whole Raices team for providing exceptional catering!

I always enjoy the food and service here. The owner/chef makes sure to interact with us, playing his guitar and singing, or joining us in karaoke. The food is always delicious. Almost as good as on the island and we enjoyed our meal with the exception of the pinchos. They had a weird BBQ sauce on them and didn't have that smokey flavor I was expecting. My brother and I shared the chuleta plate which featured some out of this world beans! We ordered a Tembleque and a pastelillo de guayaba which transferred me back to my childhood. I wish I could give 5 stars but those pinchos were so disappointing...

Really enjoyed the food here. We came here with my family and the service was excellent. They even played music and did a little bit of Karaoke. We had pasteles, mofongo, arroz con gandules, pollo frito, pernil sandwiches, camarones a la criolla, pastelon, empanadas, etc. We just had a really nice lunch here. Great place to take your family and they are super kid friendly.

Went to buy Masa so that I could make pasteles, but they only had Masa de guineo. I ended up ordering an empanada with Kola Champagne and having some of the pastries, which were excellent. The place was not busy; it's pretty informal-the kind of place that you clean up after yourself when you're done eating. Very clean, plenty of seating. Would definitely visit again to try some of the other food.
