The food tastes yummy! Spacious dining area, clean, ample parking. Easy to get your food and dine in or take out.
They offer 15% discount to military, LE, and first responders. Wow!
Nice and friendly employees and environment, almost all dishes are good, favorite dish for me is the chicken tacos with rice and beans, the salsa recipe reminds me of a place from my home town in California!!! I always get that as my dinner combo, with the red sauce. Is total bombness!!! You must give them a try...
We had Carolinas cater the event. The food was delicious. We had to wait an extra 10 mins for the food to be ready, but that was no big deal. Our order was supposed to come with chips and salsa and serving utensils. They forgot to give it to me. I called, and they remediated by sending out a gift card. I do not know the total yet. I need to wait for it to come in the mail. Would I have them cater to another event for me? Yes, I would. Everyone makes mistakes. I was just counting on the serving utensils and had to run out to buy some at the last minute.
Yummy lunch , we got two taco salads, one with machaka beef and one with chicken, both were good. And the kids got the two taco kid meal and a burrito kids meal which came with drink and rice and beans. I think the kids meals were 6.25 and ours were 9.25. Pretty good deal
Started off with great service from the staff who answered all our questions (it was my first time here). Got the food quickly and it was delicious! Tortillas were excellent (I can see why people buy them by the dozen), and the carne asada was too notch. We will definitely be returning.
Great tasting food. Just wish they were open a lil later.
Talked with Kevin. It's nice to know they offer a 15% military discount. It would be great if other businesses did the same for those who stepped forward and some who sacrificed their all for this messed up country.
Love this place. It's definitely my go to when I want some great food. I love the music they play as well. It really lifts the mood in the restaurant
Carolina’s Mexican Food has a long-established reputation of making some of the best Mexican Food in the Southwest. It is a business that began as a dream of Manuel and Carolina Valenzuela in the 1950’s. In the early years, the couple concentrated mostly on making homemade tortillas, burritos, and tamales, selling them out of the back seat of the family car at wrestling matches and to migrant workers in the fields, always making sure the food was fresh and prepared in the traditional way taught to them by their parents. Yet from that meager beginning, with a lot of hard work, their dream became a reality. Manuel and Carolina opened their first restaurant at 105 W. Hilton, it was so small that two people holding hands could touch opposite walls. The grand opening was in the Spring of 1968, they used their savings of $400, and Manuel’s expertise of trading and bartering. Carolina’s first tortilla employee was Elvira Castellanos de Abril, who just happened to be the one who taught Carolina all her cooking skills, and was also her Mom. Elvira’s pay consisted of a few dollars for Bingo, with a ride to the Bingo Hall at the American Legion Post #1, no contract had to be drawn up, just a hug and a kiss.
This place is great! Good food every time!
Now that they have the curbside pickup there's no reason to go through any of the various. ****berto's restaurants drive-thrus anymore. The food here is better, there's more of it, better enchilada sauce, better green sauce and green chili, the best tortillas in town, great flavorful rice and beans. I am so tired of other places inconsistent random quality of food and service. Every time I've been here the beans have been flavorful the rice has not been crispy or hard like it's been scraped off the side of a chafing pan. it's great taste and a great quantity for a better price than any other their competition. Sitting a minute or two in your car while they bring the food out is well worth the vastly more consistent and better quality of any of the huge number of Mexican drive-thrus around. Send your order online as you're driving out of your home when you arrive ~10 min and there is virtually no wait time when you arrive.
Carolina's has a great menu selection, and of course the food was excellent. But, they also were playing Christian music at the Mesa location as well as posting a relevant Scripture on their drink cups. Go Jesus!
A must have anytime I'm in the area!! My favorite is the bean and potato burrito. Food is always good and salsa is fresh and consistent.
Wow, amazing, every time I come this place does not disappoint. Fast and friendly service, catering orders available, and their food is amazing. Only gripe is that they charge extra for green sauce. Still five stars though, I get it, this economy is tough.
This was decent. They make their flour tortillas in house. Good salsa roja
Rice, beans, bean tostada are fantastic. Chips are too thick and we'll done for my taste, and there's only 1 choice for salsa. Overall still a good experience.
Always excellent, if I can’t get Mexican food from Chili Pepper in Yuma, this is my go to place
