We go to Joey D’s regularly as a family... We all have our favorite dishes but personally I’ve tried nearly every single dish on the menu... I think the highest compliment I can give them is; the food, Everything on the menu, is consistently outstanding!!!! And without a doubt their chef makes the best vodka sauce in Metuchen!!!! Personally I can eat the Eggplant Rollatini every day for the rest of my life!!!
Amazing pizza, great hot sandwiches and spectacular Entrée’s... Depending on my families mood there is always a great dish for everyone!!!

Being that I work in the area, I visit this establishment quite frequently. The owner is a great guy! The daily lunchbox specials are a nice bargain . The specialty pizza slices are especially good, a must try is the bruchetta slice and the chicken vodka slice. Place does get buzy around lunchtime, so I suggest calling ahead when placing an order. The marinara sauce is very tasty, a definite go to place in the area. They also have a nice dining room area, to sit down for a nice Italian meal.. Enjoy!!!
Held a graduation dinner for 25 people yesterday at a Joey D's and the food was amazing and the service was great! This place really knows how to treat their customers! I would book this place again in a heartbeat!
My parents Gloria and Pat Brooks,favorite place. They are regulars since they opened! They love the head waitress! The food was great!

By far the best Italian restaurant in metuchen
I lived a few blocks from here for 5 years. Always great product and service. After moving away i still drive 20 miles for the margarita pie!! Travelled said 20 miles and I clumsily dropped my pie going out the door. They promptly made me a new pie at no extra charge! Matter of fact, I know what my family is having for dinner this Saturday - Joey D's!!! Cheers!

Great local pizzeria! I’ve ordered their delicious pizza in the past, but this time I tried their chicken parm dinner and I really enjoyed it. They were not cheap in portion size and there was more than enough to take home. The food itself tasted very good. Their menu has a wide selection of pizzas, subs, salads, and pasta dishes. There is something for everyone at Joey D’s! I have no complaints at all and I give this place my full recommendation.
For 15 years I've thoroughly enjoyed Joey D's commitment to excellence and consistency. I tried other pizzerias in Metuchen and Edison on Sundays (when Joey D's is closed), they're not the same. During the pandemic I opted to order a house salad instead of wings as a side item and the salad was so good I'm not going back to wings any time soon. Don't know why it's not a franchise, it's better than the big four and in many ways, and after all these years, this restaurant feels like an extension of the family.
What makes a Great Pizza? It’s when the dough forms those Crunchy Toasted Bubbles. The crust is Crispy along the edges & bottom. Yet Soft & Chewy on the inside! Not too Thin...not too Thick.
When it’s made with homemade Sauce that tastes Amazing! Along with using Quality Cheese & Fresh herbs & spices.
Joey D’s makes the Absolute Best Pizza! All of his other foods are just as Delicious! Plus Joey is so Pleasant! He goes above & beyond to see that any of your Special Request are Met!

One look at this place and you wouldn't even imagine how New York this pizza is. The crust and sauce alone is worth the trip. The whole decor screams ny as you go in to order. What an amazing shop. Not much seating.
Tucked away off Central Ave in Metuchen is Joey D's pizza.
Not only do they have great pizza, but excellent food as well. We especially like the grandma's pie. They use Boar's Head cold cuts and make fantastic sandwiches. Try the baked clams.
Eat in, take out and delivery are all handled professionally. Nice people, great service. Limited outdoor seating available.
My only complaint is that they close too early.
Joey D's makes excellent pizza. I have tried their gourmet slices and I was not disappointed with any of my selections. I'm glad I found this pizzeria. It is conveniently located near Plainfield Ave and my son enjoys stopping there on his way home from high school. Excellent food!

A lot of people swear by it but to me it's just regular pizza, a little better than average but not as good as local gems like Brooklyn Boys, Antonio's, or that place on Plainfield Ave by Crazy Burrito.
