One of my most favorite happy hour spots! Pretty restaurant, great service, yummy food options! I really appreciate the standard cocktail menu up on the board. They have cocktails that you don't often see, looking at you NY sour, vessel, boulevardier! These are cocktails that your average diner isn't aware of never mind being standard on a menu. Just awesome. Favorites are the oysters naturally, then deviled eggs, and let's leave room for dessert shall we?! The sticky toffee pudding cake was next level as was the pot de creme! Inhaled both! Overall River Oyster is a great place for happy hour or dinner for delicious food, drink in a beautiful airy ambiance. Check them out!

I got some snotty remarks when I mentioned this place to locals, like “that’s not real seafood,” but I disagree because this place is a killer happy hour with great food and drinks, and it is certainly well loved. The oysters are obviously top notch but the other discount tapas are also a cut above. Got cheese croquettes, clams casino, deviled eggs with caviar, and Spanish ham on fresh bread are all washed down nicely with generous pours of old world wine and local craft beers.

Nice bar with a great happy hour. Had a mix of full price and happy hour oysters along with a nice cold glass of wine and Guava beer. Would return if in Miami, although would be better if the person at the bar next to me hadn’t been loud on his phone the whole time, but that’s not the bars fault. Nice way to try different oysters and see what you like best, did make me chuckle that they wrote “Brits” on our receipt :-)

Looked for the oysters place for a long time and finally found this one! What a surprise it was to find out they are participating at Miami Spice Mounts 2023! We went for oysters but couldn’t resist trying more. Salmon Belly Tartare was delightful. Adding black truffle makes this dish very refined. Sweet&Spicy Kind Salmon was really King-size but for me the fish’s crust was too sweet less spicy and brown rice was too salty. Wood roasted nectarine from nowadays will be my favorite dessert! They have quite a wide selection of oysters. All tasty! When we entered staff asked as if we would like to have quite dinner or try something from their happy-our menu (3-7pm hours ish). Keep in mind that part of the restaurant where happy-hours menu orders are served is quite noisy. Also I didn’t really like the tone with which the waitress warned me that we can’t share between two of us items from Miami Spice Menu. It was a bit weird, confusing and rude. The rule which I have never heard before in other restaurants. Truthfully I wasn’t going to but by the end of the evening I couldn’t let go and romantically/ flirtatiously share even my desert with my companion

Nice ambiance to the restaurant. Can get a little loud once more people come in. Carlos the server was very attentive and friendly. Happy hour items were great. I had a few of the bar snacks. Duck tacos seasoned very well. Deviled eggs were a perfect consistency. Drinks were great. Clams were a little over cooked but it could be the way they were cook fire roasted style. Ordered scallops for dinner which were initially raw but they fixed them and they came out fine. Would definitely come here again. Staff works well together to keep table clean and serve.

I enjoyed their happy hour oysters very much. some bar bites were good, e.g., Jamon Serrano toast. the rest were just okay.

We have consistently enjoyed excellent seafood at this Brickell treasure, where the bar scene it vibrant. Particularly enjoyed the chopped salad, fresh oysters, caviar, and black grouper. The Chef’s specials are well prepared with fresh ingredients. Dessert well worth the calories.

Vibrant and busy downtown restaurant. Although not technically " on the river" the decor is fun and the seafood is excellent. The Osters are fresh and very tasty 😊

They had a great selection of oysters and fresh sashimi dishes. The lobster roll was delicious and the service was great. Would definitely go back. Also very close to some really good Miami shopping.

We went twice in two days for brunch. Indoor and outdoor seating were very comfortable. Oysters are decent but I think the numerous seafood dishes are better. Quality of the seafood was extremely fresh. Would go again!

Their customer service was excellent. I enjoyed the salmon nigiri roll, and the fisherman’s stew was also good. They have a few decent items for bar snacks, which are reasonably priced.

I had an amazing experience at River Oyster Bar in Brickell. The bar staff is fantastic, the food is top-notch, and the drinks are incredible. I highly recommend trying the Green Mile cocktail and any of their delicious desserts. I particularly enjoyed the lemon cheesecake with blueberries and the Pear Tart Tatine, which was absolutely delightful. This spot is a must-visit for food and drink enthusiasts

Excellent food. We mainly came for oysters, but the scallops dish and seafood gnocchi are worth ordering. We came here twice in several days. Thursday night was so busy that the service was below par, and they seemed to not have enough servers.

If you love oysters, this place is a must. Highly recommend the happy hour in which you might have to sit outside in the heat but is worth it for the quality and the price.

This restaurant is absolutely amazing! All the drinks and food are phenomenal, no matter what you get it will be great! The atmosphere of the restaurant was beautiful, and intimate. We celebrated my husband’s birthday and we were very pleased with everything. The staff were very attentive, friendly and gave us great recommendations. We will definitely be coming back in the future. Make sure to make your reservations and enjoy an unforgettable meal!

Service was terrible!Food was yummy! They forgot to bring me utensils, they were very reluctant any time I asked for anything, for instance lemon. Kind of ruined the vibe a little. The food was tasty I had the chicken. The clams on the seafood platter had some curry on them which was a bit odd but nevertheless food was well prepared.

Dined here a few weeks back with my husband and the food was incredible. He planned dinner and took me here for their seafood selection, he was not wrong but he was just as happy and pleasantly surprised with his non-seafood dinner. I had oysters, a chilled lobster tail and a pot of mussels in a spicy coconut broth. First off the food was absolutely delicious and by the curation of the menu it was made with love. I had a selection of oysters all of them special in their own way but my favorite out of what I ordered was the pot of mussels. I cleared the pot! Really great broth. The chicken my husband ordered was a half chicken cooked with a chimichurri sauce. He said it was some of the best chicken he’s ever had! So, yes we’ll be back for dinner soon, thank you to everyone from the hostesses to the chef.

Everything was spectacular. They serve west coast oysters, which are hard to find in Florida. The lamb meatballs were a little spicy, which was a pleasant surprise. The linguine and clams was phenomenal, but I wish it came with some toast points to clean up the last of the sauce. Herman was polite and efficient. In a city full of fantastic restaurants, The River is a must-eat.
