I’m pretty picky and I can tell you that the service and the food are excellent. I also always judge a restaurant by the freshness and quality of its produce. The Greek salad is incredibly fresh and crisp. I also loved the lamb meatballs and couldn’t resist the lemon chicken with orzo pasta - best dish by far! The live music is a lot of fun. If you are going with more than one person, I definitely suggest a reservation because every time I have gone on the weekends with friends, the wait is too long for me. The owner is a blast as well. I love this spot!
Very cozy Greek Restaurant in Upper East Side Miami. We usually go to Mandolin Aegean, but decided to try something different. I stumbled upon this place and glad that I did. Place has a homey decor, (feels like someone's house). Everything that we ordered was brought out promptly and food tasted really fresh and delicious. Atmosphere is very pleasant and has a very European, Mediterranean vibe. When we were there on Saturday, there was a guitarist playing live music (mostly Spanish guitar) which greatly complemented to the vibe. I would highly recommend to anyone who enjoys Greek/ Mediterranean cuisine.
Amazing food, the atmosphere is great. I strongly recommend anyone in Florida to come to this place. U have never tasted such good food. The Alaskan Cod in particular is fascinating.

This place has it all: The ambience makes you feel at home (Liza's home). The vibe is casual and fun and makes you not want to leave. The food .. well... delicious! Fresh ingredients, amazing taste, good selection. The wines!!!! Its all about the wines, and please ask Liza for recommendations).

We are use to home cooking food. Greek, Latin family. I order the fish in the oven with some great fresh herbs. It was great. Santorini wine amazing, as I always remember. Need more of those. Definitely coming back. Thank you Lisa for the after dinner drinks. See you soon. �

Taste of Sicily night. 6 course menu with 5 different wines from Sicily. Awesome experience. Wonderful staff, the food was delicious, the ambiance was lovely. Barmeli is becoming one of my favorite restaurants in Miami.

We have gone several times, and the best they have is their live music on the weekends. However, sometimes it can get very loud inside.
Food: I will recommend their octopus and go with their recommended wines, never disappointed. Their hummus selection is great, too. Plates are small, so it is a good idea to try different ones and share

This amazing place is a hidden gem. The menu is diverse with many mostly Greek dishes, but it's not your typical Greek joint food. There's a great mix of mezze fusion and traditional dishes. The quality is exceptional. I've never had a less than stellar dish at Barmeli. They also have a very thoughtful and reasonably priced wine menu with several Greek options. We went with a group of 6 and ordered 12-14 tapas to share along with a few bottles of Greek wine. Everything was excellent. Second visit was just as great. Now, we dine they're regularly. The ambience, especially on weekends, feels like you are in Europe. The Spanish guitar player adds to the character and it's not too loud for good conversation. Service is prompt and friendly. I would 100% recommend to others and always look forward to my next visit.
Lovely Mediterranean restaurant on biscayne with great dishes. Apps are big(the feta cheese is good enough for two people). The ambiance of the restaurant make it great spot for a date night. Great selection of wines from family owned/sustainable wineries. Happy hour looks great too!
I’ve heard some great things about this restaurant and decided to give it a try tonight for some light apps for date night. To begin, the restaurant is gorgeous on the inside, the low lighting definitely gave the interior a romantic feel. Both waitresses greeted us and because the restaurant wasn’t too busy they gave us an option of where we wanted to sit. We ordered a glass of wine each and had 4 apps while we chatted. We ordered the hummus, prosciutto wrapped dates, escargot and the stuffed grape leaves. The hummus was clearly homemade and delicious - served with a ton of warm pita bread. I haven’t had grape leaves in the longest time and I was really looking forward to them and they did not disappoint. The dates were also super delicious! All and all I would love to come back to this restaurant and try some more food! 10/10 recommend
I really liked the food and the services. It’s a loudy place full of good vibes and nice people. We tried the mix of dips, the couliflowers and the lamb musaka. All was tasty and with nice presentation. I will come back.

Barmeli is a quiet little spot that will knock your socks off! The happy hour is absolutely incredible. I'd recommend getting all the dips to share. You really can't go wrong. They have fantastic selection of natural wines, along with some delicious orange wines. Sangria was bright and fruity. The owner even sat down with us to share a moment and a glass of wine. Made us all feel right at home.

This is a cozy Greek restaurant in Biscayne Blvd area, north of 69th and close to Miami Shores. A lot of great options and many Greek & Mediterranean classics, with lamp meatballs and baked feta cheese some of our favorite choices. The coconut-lemon cake with Passion Fruit gelato is an excellent dessert combo to finish your meal right! Till next time :-)
