I’m so glad places like this still exist. Not far from the glitzy overpriced foolishness in Wynwood, I was greeted with a smile as soon as I walked in the door. Sat at a clean table and brought freshly buttered warm Cuban toast. My waitress was very nice. The menu selection was large and I had a delicious palomilla steak sandwich, plantains, and a soda for less than $10. Bravo. Keep it simple old Florida. My only negative comment was regarding limited parking, but hey, you’re near downtown Miami. I was visiting from Tampa on business, but I will be back!

Ate a Milanesa de pollo / breaded chicken with fries and a chocolate shake. The food tastes amazing, the service is top-notch, all of the employees are polite, decent, friendly overall, and the location is unseemly - I never expected to find such a nice restaurant on a street in Allapattah 😁! The food is not expensive, as well! Would recommend if you're on a budget. Definitely coming back. Thank you 😊!

Went for the first time at lunch today. I loved it! Food was good! I had the bistec de palomilla with rice and beans and it did not disappoint. Prices are good too!
Roast pork was delicious and full of flavor! Service was superb!

Food was amazing, I had the ox tail and I honestly didn’t expect it to taste as good as it did. Service was also great, if we ever come back to Miami we are definitely stopping here again no doubt about that.
Great experience and awesome food, went there the other day and I tried that churrasco, also my dad had the lechón asado special of the day. Everything was delicious!!
Wow.... If you're reading this... You have to taste the food here!! I've gone twice... 1st time had the sopa de pollo (chicken soup) and it was delicious and hearty... large potatoes carrots chicken noodles... Just perfect and they are not skimpy with the amount of food! 2nd time I had the carne con papa (beef stew with potatoes) and it's prob the best carne con papas I've had in Miami because the meat was sooooo tender... Other places will have chewy beef but at Don Toston they clearly slow cook it or pre-cook idk but the meat was so tender and delicious. This is a spot where many cops have breakfast and lunch too... They have a loyal clientele and I can see why. If you eat here you will not regret it.
We had a great time. It's an up an coming neighborhood close to wynwood without the extra $$. Dishes ordered were super yummy. Just what we needed to satisfy our Latin food craving.
