Amazing NYE dinner last night! The service was prompt and professional and the atmosphere was reminiscent of dining in the French Quarter. We enjoyed their extensive wine list and their “platter for two” appetizer. Those phyllo dough crab cakes were amazing! I highly recommend the blackened catfish entree. My husband also enjoyed his steak special with cornbread battered shrimp. We were surprised by live music which added to the authenticity of the NOLA vibe. All around we had a lovely time and the high price tag is well worth it!

It surprises me when I talk to long time Madisonians that tell me they've never been to Louisiannes. The place is the perfect gumbo of bright food, warm atmosphere, and genuinely friendly and attentive staff. For an app go with the pork crepes and the goat cheese. I like the catfish Louisianne and the Tenderloin is great, but you must get the crawfish BBQ topper. You can tailor your Sazerac to suit your taste - sweet or dry. With Johnny Chimes as their house musician on most nights you can easily make an evening of it at the bar, that usually has an interesting array of locals, travelers and the occasional politico.

We love it. I'd highly recommend the crawfish etouffee or the fish of the day with the crawfish BBQ sauce over the top!

This is a gem of a place. The food is fabulous, the music never disappoints, and the staff know how to make everyone feel at home. Oh, and they serve the best Sazarac's North of the Mason Dixon Line.

One of our all-time favorite evenings is to sit at the bar munching on appetizers, drinking wine, chatting with Eric/Gwen or other bartenders and listening to Jim Erikson or John Chaimes.

We had the escargot (you need to try it at least once in a lifetime!), the house vinaigrette salad, shrimp and corn chowder (YUM!), the etoufee, the tasso and shrimp fettuccini and finished it with the frozen peanut butter pie. Great portions, wonderful atmosphere and delicious food!

Fantastic Restaurant! The food was creative and beautifully prepared. Apps we had the combo platter for two then a garden salad with homemade blue cheese dressing. The entree was one of the specials. Grilled swordfish. Posting pics below.

This establishment was fancy without being pretentious. I went here with two of my coworkers the night before we flew back home from a business trip. The creole cuisine was a surprise to find in the Madison, WI area. But I jumped on it as soon as I saw it! I had the Crawfish Etouffee and a 4 piece platter that I shared with the other two. My coworkers had the sauteed shrimp and the barbecue shrimp. BBQ guy is a fussy eater. He enjoyed the shrimp in my sampler that I shared, but thought his entree was just so-so. But my other coworker and I both dug right in to our food. It was great! We also had a few rounds of bourbons and a margarita with out dinner. The hostess for the evening was a pleasure, and we enjoyed the casual banter with her. If I find myself back in the area, I'll definitely go here again!

Very hospitable and accommodating despite not having a reservation for a group. The jambalaya and Étouffée, maple duck and grouper special were reported to be very enjoyable. The dark chocolate crème brûlée was a cool twist on that dessert and the pecan pie was incredible.

Hidden gem. First time for escargot and I loved it. Every dish was delicious. Tucked in lower level created atmosphere all its own. Live piano music playing in background gave it a sort of speakeasy feel. Great cocktails and service.

One of my favorite places in Madison. Fantastic food, service, and ambiance. Cant go wrong in my opinion. The creme brulee is dark chocolate and wonderful! Much smaller portion size for that than I have come to expect but when it tastes that good....

We have never had a bad meal here. We always get the crab cakes appetizer or the split app for two. Soo good! We usually have Sam as a waiter and he is really great. This is hands down our favorite restaurant in the area!!

Really excellent place. Make time to enjoy a cocktail at the bar before or after dinner or both. I'm certain that you can't go wrong with anything on the menu. Ask anyone working there what's great if you're not sure what to order because they all have seemed to try most or all of every menu item.
