Ate here the first time on September 15. Lots of choices. I had chicken kebabs and my daughter had lamb curry. We started with both cheese and garlic naan. She had the fresh green salad and I and the tomato soup. Everything was excellent and extremely flavorful. We're not into hot spices and our waiter was very helpful in offering each dish to be spiced on a scale of 1-5. We each chose 1 but each dish was still amazing. The wait staff was very polite and not overbearing. The ambience was pleasant. I liked the ornate, comfortable lobby. Definitely would go back.
I have eaten at A LOT of Indian restaurants (in Madison and many other cities) and this is my favorite place in Madison! Fantastic authentic food, not too greasy or too creamy. Perfection. Also, wonderful service and nice atmosphere!
Our whole family loves this place! Authentic and super tasty. Tastes like the best stuff you get in India, especially the Punjabi food. Save some airfare and enjoy!
The food was fantastic! Fresh with incredible depth of flavors!!! The atmosphere was inviting and the staff took excellent care of us! Can't wait to go back! When I'm the Madison, WI area, it is worth going to. Be prepared to leave very full!😉
Love this place!!! Food is always excellent and the service is always good. Be sure to try out their Talia platters (available only on the weekends) to try multiple dishes at one time. Highly recommend!
It's a awesome place.. food tastes excellent. I recommend dhaba to all
Great food. I would definitely recommend the Non Veg Dinner For Two! Excellent! Will be back!
The food is delicious. One of my favorite places to eat. Tandoori mixed grill and beef vindaloo were excellent. Had my first lassi-yummy!
Fantastic food (you can't go wrong!) and always a good experience. The staff is very considerate and helpful.
The service was excellent and the lobster masala was totally amazing!
Food was delicious and staff very friendly and helpful
Absolutely delicious food! The desert are amazing !
This is the best Indian food I've ever had. They know what we want as soon as we come in.
This is a good place if you want to try Indian restaurant. It doesn't matches perfectly to the Indian food taste but somewhere closer and better than few other Indian restaurants in Madison.
I tried butter chicken and butter garlic naan. Naan was the best I have had ever. Service and ambience are good.worth to try.
I'm still not what I would deem an expert when it comes to Indian food. But I know what I like and I have to say that I was disappointed in my lamb curry at Dhaba Indian Bistro. The lamb had too much fat on it and the curry sauce was sort of bland. The spiciness of the sauce could be the reason it was wasn't as flavorful as many other Indian restaurants I've been to. But the garlic naan was excellent, the service was prompt and professional, and the decor was tasteful and contemporary. I just wish my meal would have been better than what it turned out to be.
I had some friends in town who love Indian food and we were on the west side of Madison so we decided to give Dhaba a try. Wow! We were blown away. By far the best Indian food we have had in the area. Even the simplest dishes like the rice were far and away the best we have had. Light, flavorful, I think it had cumin seeds in it.
We had the naan and the aloo naan. Hot, buttery, dense and chewy, yummy! Our group of four had the lamb vindaloo curry, chicken tikka masala, aloo gobhi, and chicken tandoori. Everything was so good! They will ask you for your spice level and although ours ranged from mild to hot, the flavors of every dish were outstanding and everyone was satisfied w/the spice level. We even had leftovers to take home which were just as good the next day!
The ambiance was clean, bright, and upscale. The service was polite, warm, and polished. There was really nothing about the experience I would have changed. We'll definitely go back!

The food was amazing, service was great, and there was a nice comfortable setting. The best Indian Restaurant in the Madison Area! I would definitely come here again and I thought the prices were very reasonable!
We were three of us. We ordered 6 dishes and all 6 were good. 3 were outstanding. Chai, Yellow Daal and Gobi Parantha. Non veg platter is good and they do replace red meat with seafood oe chicken. My wife had Paneer and liked the dish but felt quality od Paneer coild be better. My daughter, missing Aloo Parantha loved it. It is a chef owned chef manages restaurant. Ues it is expensive. A 3 course meal for 3 is about 80-90 dollars including tips. Complimentary Lentil soup was out of the world. If it is about Good authentic Indian food, this is it.
We had been trying a bunch of different Indian Restaurants in Madison when we came across Dhaba. We had just finished moving apartments in the snow and needed something warm and hearty for dinner and were hankering for some good indian food. So far we had not been quite excited of much of the Indian food we came across. This dinner made us big fans of Dhaba and we cherish a few things which matter to us that are surprisingly not found that easily.
Great New Indian Restaurant!. We tried to get in last Friday for lunch, but it was way too busy so we went back on Saturday. They have great lunch specials on the weekends where you can sample 3 different curries along with soup or salad, rice & dessert. It was so good, that we returned on Sunday with our 3 adult children! Our favorites were the lamb samosas, chicken makhani, lamb curry & the kheer. They have so many choices & will make it was hot or as mild as you want. They also are very accomodating with food allergies. We joked with the owner, Sonu, on our first visit that we would be back the next day. On our way out the second day, Sonu joked with us that he would see us on Tuesday since they are closed on Monday. Prices are very reasonable for both lunch ($6-7) and dinner ($11-15), and portions are large. There are many vegetarian choices along with 17 types of Indian breads. We'll definitely be at Dhaba on a regular basis!
My wife and I ate dinner here tonight and the food and service was amazing!!! When we inquired about the sauces with our Samosa our waitress told us how as a child in India they would knock the tamarind fruit from the trees as a sour snack. She did an outstanding job explaining our meal to us and answering our questions! The food was phenomenal with the spice level just as we ordered and some of the most tender chicken I have had in a long time! Cannot wait to come back!
It's a beautiful restaurant in the Middleton. Great food and the wait staff was friendly. We got there early, but it had a good stream of customers the whole time we were there. Definitely will go back, big menu but not too big.
Definitely fancy inside! Great service! Food was great! Definitely get 6+ for hotness level, it's perfect for us spicey lovers. Little overpriced for portions but makes sense for location.
Wow! This is one of the best tasting Indian restaurants in town and I didn't expect that. I was blown away by the two dishes we had and I can't wait to go back and try more. Food took a little while to arrive but it was worth every moment. Highly recommend!
Brilliant traditional Indian foods! Dining environment is bright, clean, and comfortable. Very friendly and helpful staff! Excellent service. Everything is amazing!
I ordered Dhaba to my work because I was craving Indian food, and I think that's one of the best decisions I've made in a while. The food was phenomenal! Full of flavor, rich, comforting, delicious. The coconut Naan really surprised me with just how tasty it was, I didn't know Naan could taste that amazing. Hopefully I'll find time to actually visit the establishment and enjoy my meal there for the full experience!
This is the best Indian food I've ever had. I got the Tandoori mixed grill so that I could have a variety and was blown away by spread. Curried Mahi Mahi, Tandoori chicken breast and leg, shrimp, some sort of sausage, rice and vegetables, and yogurt sauce for about 20 bucks. Can beat it. Im not local but I'll be stopping back in here again for sure when Im in town.
