This is the cutest restaurant ever. I came here and was treated like a celebrity. I'm not even kidding, impeccable service. I'm pretty sure it's family owned. I believe the owner was walking around to make sure everyone was good. I specially remember her literally going to each table to personally make sure everyone was okay. You don't see that a lot so it's pretty much unforgettable.
To the food: wow. Wow. Let me say it one more time, wow. I really do believe they make this with love because everything I tasted was amazing. I got the shrimp lobster scampi which was in garlic and white wine sauce. So good!!!! It was really filling and seasoned greatly.
The restaurant in terms of decor is pretty dated- but I guess that's what makes it super homey. It was PACKED when I went and I see why. I want to come back soon because there is so much on the menu I didn't get to taste.
You know when you're sitting waiting for the waiter to bring out your food and you keep looking at the tables around you when they get their food- my mouth watered anytime someone got something regardless of what it was. Everything looked so good. The couple next to me said they have been coming here for years and they never disappoint. I can see why.
It's for sure authentic Italian cuisine. Middletown is not a popular town but this place definitely can hold the popularity of it. I wish I remembered my waitress name because she was EPIC. You can tell everyone here takes their job seriously. I loved it.
I attended my uncles 60th surprise birthday party tonight at Tony Boffa's. I have to say it turned out wonderful! Staff was great! Everything was done on time, the restaurant and party room were clean. Staff were all wearing masks and we had to wear masks as long as we weren't eating. It was a great night out and everyone had a blast!! For the party, we had a smaller menu with dinner options. I ordered the chicken Marsala over pasta and it was fantastic! Each dinner came with a soup and salad. I am not a big soup or salad person so I gave my soup to my grandmother and salad to my mom. My grandmother said the soup was delicious and she would order it when she went out to lunch again. The only thing I have to say is that it was a little chilly in the party room. A few of us kept our coats on. Other than that it was a great night. I'm sad to hear that the restaurant is for sale. It's been a part of Middletown since my mom was young.
My family and I came here for dinner for the first time to celebrate my birthday! Our waitress Olivia was by far the BEST!!!!! Helped us order accordingly since we had no idea the portions as far as the appetizers and she suggested some good entrees that we all chose from and loved!! The restaurant was short staffed like everywhere else right now… but even under some pressure Olivia stayed awesome and it was SO worth it!!! We’re already planning out next visit!!
Heard a lot about this place. Went there the other day for Pizza. The Pizza was delicious. The waitress Olivia was exceptional, very attentive. I asked about their dinners and she answered all our questions. We will be back.
