I've been going to Su Casa for 20 years. Yes it's not the BEST authentic Mexican around but they are consistent, with the exception of their salsa. What keeps me going: it's low cost, fast service, (they know me by name and have my drink before I sit down) and they stick with their menu. They do have good fish tacos occasionally. A friend calls them "white mans Mexican" so don't go with huge expectations. It's simple, tasteful and fast.
It's Su Delicious!. Americanized? Maybe so. But it's the best tasting Mexican food I've ever had in Salt Lake. The other type I call Mexican grill and I can't even eat that stuff at Lone Star. I suggest the next time you are craving Mexican food call Su Casa for take out. Order the cheese enchilada chili verde style with refried beans and rice. In 5 minutes, you can pick up a big container of food, plus some chips and dip, for about 8 bucks. Eat it before you get home if you don't feel like sharing.
Veggie Burrito. I go to Su Casa for the Vegetarian Burrito. It is amazing.
Eh it's better than betos.... It's ok most the time.
Huge Portions and Fast Service. We ordered the Chicken Quesadilla dinner and Steak Fajita's. In both instances the portion size was much more that we could eat. The Quesadilla was the largest I've ever seen. The fajita's were sizzling in a mole-like sauce that tasted very good. The chips do appear to be store bought, however they taste good. The only criticism I could offer was that there was too much steak and not enough veggies, which is completely the opposite of every other fajita dish I've had. The restaurant was very clean and the staff was quick and extremely polite. I would not hesitate to return here.
Wonderful food, always great quality and customer service. Never takes longer than 10 minutes to get your food...

Pretty good. Not as good as sister restaurant El silver but still yummy
Quick, Fast, and Delicious!. The service is really friendly and VERY quick. The lunch special is $4.99 (and you can order it during dinner time as well for a $1 more) and is a great deal. I love their bean and cheese burritos, cheese enchiladas, and their chips and salsa. A great place to go for a quick bite to eat that won't kill your wallet but will satifisy your taste buds!
My favorite mexican. I love this place! Cheap and Fast! I always get the cheese enchiladas.
This place is ready good! Seemed authentic. Our waitress was great! Enchilada & tostadas were really good! Salsa isn’t too spicy, which I enjoyed. We didn’t try the taco salad but the table next to us got it & it looked so good!!! Will be trying next time. I wish they had margaritas & order alcohol beverages. Definitely check this place out!
Good food! Fast friendly service! Unlimited chips and salsa!
I have been coming here at least once per month for over 25 years and have never had a bad meal, I've tried about everything on the menu & it's all good but but now always order the dinner special; no matter what time of day it is & my wife always orders the lunch special. Highly recommend.
I was nervous to try this place but I gave it a shot and it was worth it! Don’t let the area scare you off. I came in and the staff was super friendly! They have a big mural inside and the tables are super modern. The food was pretty good too! I also enjoyed the easy scan-to-pay method. Overall I would recommend and I will definitely be back :)
This is one of our favorite restaurants to go for Mexican food. We love their cheese enchiladas. The rice is also a favorite. The staff is always so friendly. The service is efficient & quick. If you are looking for a great place to eat…I recommend eating here!
Always wonderful! Loved our server. He was accommodating with getting us a high chair, extras like S&P that are no longer on the table, keeping our drinks full, bringing our to go bags. He was just a neat guy. Food is always so good and fresh. Plenty of options, lean meats. The Chile Verde is the best and the queso. Not everyone likes everything and this is absolutely no reflection on the restaurant. Every person in my party liked the salsa. I call it sauce and it's not my thing. We come back often.
The food, service, and the environment were great. The only reason it's not 5 star is the salsa. It lacks texture and tasted like thin spaghetti sauce.
