All Food was made Fresh! I had the Sausage, Collard Greens and Mac n Cheese. It was very yummy!! You can pick it up for Carry out. There are 3 tables outside you can sit down and eat at as well. No indoor Dining unfortunately! I definitely recommend!!

We ordered chicken wings and brisket for takeout and both were fantastic! I'm ecstatic that such a great BBQ place is on my way home from work. I'll be ordering takeout again soon!
12/2/23 Update - Their new location is even closer to my house so now they delivery with the Toast app!!!! I got free delivery with Toast and just had to tip the driver. I can hardly believe that the best brisket I've ever had anywhere is just a few clicks away from being delivered to my door! I'm excited to try the dine in experience for breakfast sometime also. Of all the sides I like the cheesy potatos the best get a quart they are great for breakfast the next day if you have leftovers.

Delicious. Brisket is well-prepared, seasoned well, tender, juicy and not dry. Best barbecue . You can never go wrong. We always go back and has become our favorite. Worth the drive.

Is there a 10-star rating? Don't get me started. Everything here is great. In a community full of fast food and chains, this place is the (somewhat hidden) beacon of light. It's a small locally owned shop without the fanfare and signage. It's going to be a bit more expensive than your microwaved hamburger down the street - because they made it here, from scratch.
Check out their weekly specials. They do not disappoint.

Their smoked meats are great! I particularly love the brisket and pulled pork. Delicious sides, and their banana pudding is wonderful!

Lord. Have. Mercy!
BEST beef brisket I’ve ever had and this includes many stops down south!
Mac & Cheese got thumbs up by all 3 in our household. First time here and the next time we’re on the east side will definitely be back!

I always have a top notch experience at P&B! Food is always fresh, BBQ is best in the city and the sides are phenomenal (I love the bourbon sweet potatoes). Staff is extremely friendly as well. Highly recommend

I live near Pickles and Bones and have been driving by it for a couple years without stopping. I finally decided to give this little sandwich stand a try and was very surprised not only by how great our sandwiches were but also by the number of items from which I could choose. We tried the pulled chicken and turkey sandwiches and they were great. The sides were also better than expected. I highly recommend this place.

Had to try a bit of everything and loved all of it! My fave sides were the sweet potatoes and banana pudding! The brisket Ruben was amazing! Will be back!!

Well Deserved #1 status! Best Brisket I've ever had. Delicious hot and leftovers delicious later cold. Thrilled to find and enjoy this take out establishment when I was traveling for business. May you prosper!!! Chose the two meats and two sides. Brisket, chicken, cheese potatoes, and collards. Typically not a sauce gal, yet thoroughly enjoyed the mustard I tried!!
Tracy Robinson
Friendly service, clean entry, great food. Pulled pork good with or without the awesome sweet sauce excellent collard greens and tasty sweet potato casserole. I will be back!

I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of my meal today. The pulled pork sandwich is delicious, but the side items were phenomenal! The Mac and cheese is a semi-sharp white cheddar sauce that's smooth and creamy with a complex flavor profile that pairs perfectly with the pork. The noodles were cooked
al dente, and they come out swimming in that amazing cheese sauce. Then, to cut through the richness of all that cheese, there's the collard greens, which have a smokey undertone to compliment the bitter tanginess right before that little bit of heat creeps in from the spice! I'm OCD and always have to eat my meals one item at a time, but this meal was perfect to take a bite of each thing, one right after another. The flavors coexist in perfect harmony. Highly recommended!

Your service was excellent for our weekend dinner. Yet, a couple or few people I know ask that there would be some less spice, and I wish that none of your meals had any wheat, for medical reasons. Still, you each did a tremendous job!

Sooo good!!
We got this for my fiancés birthday! Everything was soo good and stayed fresh, even with a longer drive back home.
There was soo much food left that we can each have another meal later!
The cheesy potato casserole is top notch! & he loves the spicy baked beans
10/10!
Katherine Pohl
The brisket sandwich is amazing. Sides are always good. If you ever see the spicy queso brisket sandwich special, grab it!
Rebecca Jacob
This is beyond one of the best BBQ places around. The sauce is on point, the meat is tender and moist, the sides are so good my family fights for the last bite in the container. Highly recommended!!!
Dominick Daulton
Drove from Amelia to try Pickles and Bones and it was definitely worth the drive! Got the brisket and pulled pork plate with cheesy hashbrown casserole, sweet potatoes, macaroni salad, mac n cheese, and peach cobbler. Everything was absolutely delicious and the employee (Julien from receipt) was very friendly! Will definitely be back!
Eric Ridder
We just ate here for the first time and it did not disappoint. The staff was helpful and very friendly. Everything we ordered was cooked perfectly. The brisket was some of the most juicy brisket I have ever had.
Shannon Mers-Howard
I have been wanting to try pickles& bones for awhile. But have kind of dragged my butt about it because I was afraid of a massive let down.
But let me tell you.... BEST BRISKET EVERRR... The smoke ring was so deep. And it was tender and delicious. The pulled pork was great also. But let me tell you about the rib tips, omg. I'm not much on ribs, but again so damn delicious.
It was so good my father in law after seeing us bring home some, he made us go get him some. Let me tell you how good it was, my three kids who are not the fond of bbq in general tried it. And loved it.
I mean its a little pricey, but portions are amazing.
Oh, and I almost forgot. The banana pudding was slap yo momma good.
Cannot wait to go back. When I die, I want them to cater my funeral. 😝
**edit**
Full disclosure, I hate pickles, but they gave us a huge portions of them. I had to get them away from my tasty meat so it wouldn't pickle my meat up. But if you love pickles again, I'm sure they were amazing.

I grew up in Texas, and have rarely found restaurants in this area that know how to do brisket, or barbecue for that matter. This place does!! Very tender brisket, and the sides were delicious as well. The only thing lacking was the taste of the barbecue sauces, but that’s okay since everyone is different when it comes to their sauce preferences. Friendly staff and cozy wait area. I highly recommend.

My husband and I ate here yesterday for the first time after hearing such good things and it was AMAZING!! We are sort of foodie snobs and this was a legit...lick your plate good. He had the brisket sandwich and the Mac and I had the pulled pork platter with coleslaw and bourbon sweet potatoes. The sauces were all fresh and so tasty(sweet, spicy, mustard and hot sauce - all fabulous!) and I never like sweet pickles but their sweet and spicy pickles were the bomb with their pork. You must try! We will definitely be back!!
Jamie Rochelle
I used Pickles and Bones to cater a fundraiser for 125 people. The price was great, food was amazing and the owners were wonderful to work with. I got tons of compliments on the food. The brisket, coleslaw, mac and cheese and pickles were hands down the big winners. I would highly recommend them to anyone needing a caterer.
Keri Anne
Best BBQ we have ever eaten! The brisket is amazing, along with the rib tips and chicken. Hoe cakes are a MUST have. Homemade pickles were such a great addition to the meal, as well. Great service. Will definitely return for more!
Laura Parsons
I'm a Texan relocated here 23 years ago but still love great smoked and tender brisket!! Eureka!!! I found it and great sides too and banana pudding to die for!!!!
Julie 'Gypsy' Candelaresi
Absolutely fabulous food, good size portions, friendly staff. Well worth the drive from Dayton ohio
Joyce Morgan Swoger
Our daughter said it was her best meal ever! Brisket was melt in your mouth. Pulled pork so good no sauce needed. Baked beans, mac and cheese, bean salad and hoe cakes all good. Rhubarb cobbler good; prefer more fruit. Thanks for a great lunch! Was worth the drive from Miamisburg!
Tabitha Harper
The best! The BBQ is fantastic & spicy vinegar sauce is my favorite, but they're all amazing. The sides? Holy moly. I could eat a box of the hoe cakes! There's always a good desert & you really can't go wrong with anything on the menu. Exciting & yummy way to grab a quick bite & support a Milford business / family!
Ria Matlib
Thanks for leaving a slab of brisket at Maribelle's Food Fight last night! One of the best I've ever had & I couldn't stop eating it! I haven't even been in your shop & I'm already a fan!
Chuck Carr
Hands down THE best bbq I've ever eaten, besides my own of course. I stop there quite often, the food and the service is always excellent.
Coit Frasure
I've been to many BBQ places and I have to say they are in my top 5. Excellent food. The sauces were good. Prices were good as well. I had the pick 2, brisket and pulled pork. Amazing. Mac and cheese, good and the green beans were outstanding. We'll be back very soon.
Jason Auffart
Finally had a chance to stop in. Wow! Brisket was perfect! Perfectly seasoned and smoked. Definitely the best brisket I have ever had. My wife got the pulled pork, beans and Mac were amazing also. Do yourself a favor and stop by!
Crystal Roy
The food is amazing! I would recommend it to everyone. The service is great too.
Jenna Johnson
They have the best pulled pork around !!!!! You will not be disappointed with anything on their menu !!!!
Jacqui Philhower
Honestly the BBQ was amazing!! The smell when you walk in the door is so enticing! The Smoked Turkey was perfection and the hoecakes with sorghum butter are my new favorite thing! If you haven’t tried it you are missing out!
Chazrarc
THE best BBQ I have had. We tried Eli's and I was unimpressed. This place is amazing. I have never been a brisket person and that is what I always get here because it is so tender. Their sides are really good too. You can't eat in but luckily we don't live far. Definitely worth the trip if you do not live in the area. If they have ribs available I highly recommend but you can't really go wrong.
Bj Andriot
Don’t let the outside fool you. The brisket is amazing! It is the best I’ve ever had! The sides were off the charts as well! Show this place some love and go now!
Shelly
We've been here a couple of times now, and frankly like it slightly better than Eli's (which we love), with one caveat. Eli's sauce is better. So we go to Kroger and pick up Eli's sauce. Then we go to Pickles and Bones. First, order desert. Their deserts are insanely good. If you're lucky enough to go in strawberry season get the shortcake. My husband loves the banana pudding, and the cobblers are great.

But the meat is why you're here. It's got a strong smokey flavor and is super moist. I've had their pulled pork and chicken, their ribs, their brisket, their turkey and their hot links. The turkey wasn't my favorite - I've not had smoked turkey around here that I like though. The brisket is the best I've had in Cincinnati. The ribs are very meaty and tender, not fatty. The pulled pork and chicken is moist and flavorful. The hot links are really good but they're too hot for me. The husband loves them though. Any of these are excellent. Note that ribs (2 per serving) and rib tips are only served on certain days.

We've tried most of the sides. I wasn't really enthralled with the hoe cakes. I'd never had them and thought they were odd and dry. I love the macaroni salad and baked beans, the potato salad and sweet potatoes come in second for me. My husband always gets the coleslaw and the mac n cheese, which I admit are tasty too. We've not had the greens or beans, no idea why. We'll get them next time.

TL;DR: Some of the best BBQ we've had in Cincy, and now our favorite place here even if we do buy Eli's sauce to put on it.
Cincinnati Bites
Every self-respecting Cincinnati barbecue enthusiast knows which area restaurant has reigned supreme over the last six or seven years, and yet that still hasn't deterred a host of competent chefs in town from trying to topple the king from his smoky, tender, juicy throne. One of the newest contenders on the scene is Pickles & Bones Barbecue, located just on the outskirts of Milford in Day Heights, near Milford High School. While the fledgling BBQ takeaway is still in its infancy...
