My wife and I had great lunch and they made the best drinks maybe it took 20 minuets for the food but it was worth it but the drinks came so fast I be back
A group of us had a late meeting, and before making the hour and a half ride home, decided to stop in for a bite to eat. It was just before the kitchen closed, but they were very accommodating. The food was delicious and our waitress was great! Thanks again to the entire staff!
I had the pleasure of bringing my brother and son to the Dimmick for dinner about a week ago. Our waitress was absolutely amazing. She was very observant of our needs and attentive. Her friendly disposition made our visit even more enjoyable. Although Mindy was our waitress, there was a young man Who kept interrupting our dinner. We ordered our meals with Mindy and salads were brought out. While we were eating our salads the young man brought us more salads. Then he brought us dishes that were not ours, while Mindy brought the correct ones. I asked the young man for the horseradish sauce that went on the prime rib as he passed, and he brought me horse radish… Just plain horseradish. After one taste my sinuses were clear! When my waitress came to check on us she realized what I had received and brought me the correct item immediately. Our dishes were amazing! Mindy definitely went above and beyond to make sure our dinner was perfect. I will definitely request her in the future. Clearly excellent customer service is her top priority.
I don't live local to this restaurant, but make it a point to take the Milford exit off 84 and eat at this restaurant whenever the opportunity presents itself! Classy but casual bar and food experience!
Absolutely wonderful, went for my birthday dinner and everything was so good from the time we sat down til the time we left the food was really good and the service too. Never disappointed here. They really cater to the kids too which I really love because not a lot of places so that, that's a big plus for me. Thank you for that. Everyone is always so pleasant even if something is wrong they take care of it right away with no issues but that usually doesn't happen. Next time I'll add some photos. Oh yeah they have a little treasure chest of toys for the kids to pick a toy out of after eating dinner so awesome ❤️
1st time visiting this restaurant, and I'm very happy we did. We got in early, which is good, because they were pretty busy. Great food, sevice, drinks. Reasonably priced. Fun historical decor in an old historical building added to the experience. A particular note: definitely one of the better fish n chips platters I've had in a while.
First time here. Nice bar area. We decided to try the brick oven pizza portobello and the Brooklyn boy . Pizza was perfectly cooked nice thin crust, a little charred on the edges for that perfect crunch. Service was great for such a busy night we did not stay in rooms, so no rating. Parking free on streets no parking lot
Our first time visiting this restaurant.
What a great cozy restaurant. Service was great. The manager or owner Took care of us and was friendly to my boys. The pizza is traditional wood fired. Which you can watch being made. The cocktails were fresh. Would recommend People stopping over for a quick bite. They have a little treasure chest so kids can pick out gifts.
I dined at the Dimmik but did not stay in any of its rooms, so this review is only for the dining room.
My group visited on Halloween, and they were slammed. That meant that we waited quite a while for someone to take our order, and the wait staff weren't very attentive. But, again, the restaurant was slammed.
The food was good, decent but not overwhelming beer selection, and even with the crowd the nose level was low enough that we could converse.
The short ribs were so tender and the fresh grilled vegetables complimented it wonderfully. New York strip steak was very lean, cooked mid rare as I requested and was so juicy with the perfect amount of seasoning. The wings were hot and crispy and absolutely delicious. Beautiful decor, great atmosphere and the service was top notch.
Was a very good dinner. Kalamari with Thai chili sauce was amazing. I had the tuna that could have used a little bit more seasoning but overall was cooked perfectly and presentation was great. Dessert was awesome. Service was very good. Only complained sitting outside. You hear a lot of noise from passing motorcycles and old time cars. It is cool to see but sometimes can get extremely loud and some fumes pass by
The service and management team is very professional. You can get traditional wood fired pizza which is made in front of you.
Seafood, Steaks and Burgers . We ordered pizzas and wings. Everything was presented very well and had good flavor. Longside with some cocktails. That came out great. We finished our meal with a calzone With chocolate. I like recommend this cozy restaurant..
Very cute restaurant. Service was great-attentive server. The fried goat cheese salad was FIRE. I was hesitant after reading the description but I am so glad I took the chance!! The pizza was decent and he enjoyed his pie. Glad we stopped in!
We eat at Dimmick often and are never disappointed. The food and service are always great! My favorite is the Southwest Salad with grilled chicken, but everything is good & the prices are fair.. Love the porch outside, the bar area is nice too, and the inside seating is comfortably spaced & pleasant! We give the restaurant 5 stars!
Enjoyed my time there, the bartenders and manager made me feel at home. Food was great and so were the drinks. Looking forward to going back!
What a nice restaurant - cute location and great service. The Fish Tacos are a must have. Probably the best fish tacos I have ever had! The Standard burger was my husbands choice and he really enjoyed it. For an appetizer, the pretzel was great, I thought the beer cheese was a little bland - so we added some pepper and garlic to it! :).
Food was good, as were the drinks. Quaint little place with a nice outside deck. Service was excellent.
I was in the area, and I saw this restaurant come up under my Yelp page. My boyfriend and I decided to try it. I’m so glad we did.
There is limited parking. You can either park on the street or park in the back.
What I love about this place is it’s old world charm. This place is quaint. There is a wrap around porch that has outdoor seating. Also, on the other side of the building where you check in is outdoor seating on a patio which is very dog friendly. I must’ve pet seven different breeds of dogs. Their owners were extremely friendly. Historic Dimmick’s Inn also has indoor seating and a full bar. They have a wood burning Pizza Oven.
It was a beautiful day, and not hot so I decided to sit outside on the porch. I was immediately greeted by a very friendly server named Ester. She was so delightful.
We started with some signature cocktails. Our bartender Vince did such a good job with these cocktails.
I chose their Perfectly Ginger Sangria-Pear Nectar, Sauvignon Blanc, Lemon Juice, Simple Syrup, Ginger Beer. It was very refreshing. When I was done I ate the the piece of fresh ginger. My second cocktail was their Passionfruit Margarita-Jose Cuervo, Passion Fruit Juice, Triple Sec, Fresh Lime Juice, Chili Lime Salt Rim. I absolutely loved this cocktail. It was well balanced and that chili lime salt rim only added to the delicious flavors.
My boyfriend chose to have 2 of the same signature cocktails. He chose their Strawberry Rhubarb Smash-
Jim Beam Bourbon, Strawberry -Rhubarb Puree, Lemon Juice, Mint, Simple Syrup. He really loved this cocktail. The rhubarb purée gave this cocktail a tart and somewhat sweet taste with the added simple syrup.
For Appetizer I chose their Fried Calamari- with classic marinara or Thai chili sauce, and pickled sweet peppers. I chose both their Marinara Sauce and their Thai Chili Sauce. Both sauces were very good, but I really enjoyed their Thai Chili Sauce. My Calamari was light and crisp. We both thoroughly enjoyed it.
It was somewhat early, so I didn’t want to have a huge meal. We both decided on their French Dip Sandwich and it came with French fries.
This was definitely one of the best French dips I’ve ever had. It was served on this amazing semolina bread, but what made it so good was the meat was tender and their dipping sauce was light and flavorful. Typically French dip sauces are very salty. This sauce was light. Had a touch of lemon in it and I really, really enjoyed it. I only ate half of my sandwich and took the rest home. We were both very full and we did not have any dessert. I would definitely come here again. I saw many of their other dishes being served and they looked wonderful. This place is definitely doing things the right way.
This is a charming inn with fine food. Their individual pizzas are very good, and their burgers are excellent. Expect to have to search for parking, especially during popular times
Place is very expensive but I didn’t expect it to be this good in the middle of nowhere. Travelling through. Refills were slow but can’t complain about the food. The food was great. I got the cheeseburger with truffle fries. Felt expensive but about what I expected to be honest. Any proper meal was 30+. Not worth it to get it to be honest. The starters themselves are big enough to be a meal. I’d usually give this a 4 star for the price. But the food makes up for it.
Stopped by on a whim for lunch - great place - server ( Alexa) very nice and on top of everything . Porch lovely to sit on - wish we lived closer , we would love to check out the bar and/or have dinner . Hopefully soon!
