Food was excellent especially the Philly egg rolls!! Yum yum! They were delicious. Our waitstaff was excellent. Alissa was attentive and courteous. She stopped by a few times to check on us. No issues except the burger was a bit more done than we had asked for. But still overall pretty good I had the Tavern burger and fries. I do recommend!

Today the Savanna Grain bowl didn't have much grain in it. Being the first ingredient we thought it would. The signature salad would have been a better choice if we wanted a salad.

Dining outside on their patio is pleasant and peaceful. Always receive a delicious meal and good service. The restaurant has been a reliable go to for takeout too. Miss dining indoors but hopefully in the future. One suggestion- print back the steak and poblano sandwich as it was prepared!

I was there for brunch and had the vegi scramble which was pretty good. Great biscuit. Terrible home fries. Service was not great even though wait staff was very friendly. Meals were brought out very slowly so people had food getting cold in front of them while others at the table waited for their meals. The worst disappointment was the ladies room. It has a strong smell of urine and the floors were very sticky. Felt very gross coming out of there. A definite reason not too go back which is sad be ause I think the menu was terrific with great choices.

This bar is shockingly bad and expensive. The barmaid Nesha could not even key in my order and forgot to add the vodka. At least I hope she forgot and didn't do it on purpose!!! I cant believe this place is still in business! She was rude and seems to have sniffles and was sweating a lot. The other bar staff seemed to be embarrassed by her. I wont be returning.

The food was really bad and cold. Even after asking twice they just gave us cold food and did not listen to our requests. We asked for a medium rare burger and got an overcooked one, ordered fried chicken sandwich and they gave grilled chicken. Really bad experience for all of us.

Nice place to go on weekdays. Their trivia is a fun experience. Nice atmosphere and decently priced drinks, but food is pretty expensive in most cases.
Also keep in mind on the weekends if they have a DJ it gets pretty crazy. If you're looking for a more chill experience, go on a week night.

So I am at lunch with the work crew at Eli's in Milford across the street from Stonebridge. We had great apps and were enjoying time out with the interns on their last day at JJE. We all got our meals in a timely manner. As I am eating the lobster mac which I decided to order last minute over one of their various choices of sandwiches and other items, I notice an unfamiliar black object in my food. I try to poke at it with my fork thinking that it might be an olive that got accidentally dropped in my dish by the kitchen staff. I pulled it out and cleaned it off with my napkin only to find that it's hard exterior was not a food item at all but what looked and felt like the top of a large nail or stud from from the trim of the chair I was sitting in. Well, unlike the usual me, I didnt want to create a scene so one of the girls from the office asked me if I wanted them to say something. I obliged as I didnt want this to go unmentioned as I could have easily swallowed or choked on this piece of hardware in my food. We coudnt find the waitress right away and then she came over the hostess station where we informed her of the item in my food. She took it away and gave something that resembled an apology that I had a piece of the furniture in my food and asked me if I wanted anything else to eat. I politely declined. I have to say that I was extremely disappointed with the concern of the staff at Eli's in Milford as no manager came out to ask me if I was ok or to see if there was something they could do. When everyone was done she took away our plates and asked if anyone wanted a box for their food as any server would do but did not mention or show any concern for the unidentified metal item in my food. She brought back the leftovers that she wrapped up and brought the check and placed it on the table and walked away. That's it!! No worries or concern like this was something that happened there all the time. I assume she took my meal off the check but that was it. No manager on duty to come over to the table and apologize or show any concern for a patron at their place of business that could have choked due to the carelessness of the kitchen staff preparing my food. I called after I got back to the office and I was told that the manager had "stepped out." So are you telling me there was one there when I was and they still didn't come out??? Even worse! End Rant!

The food and service were awesome! I brought my dog, we sat outside on the patio, and the server even brought my pup a bowl of water and gave him a belly rub! I would definitely recommend Eli's!

This was my first time at Eli's in Milford. I have been to all the other Eli's but this one has a little different menu. I was looking for chicken pot pie but had to settle for a steak burger instead because I didn't see chicken pot pie on the menu. They do have different items than all the other Eli's. But it was very good and I would go back again.

We usually like to sit at the bar but, it was packed..(Sunday)
So we sat at a small table by the window..
The AC must have been on, cool breeze on my meck and shoulders..
We moved over 2 tables, by that time 5 mins went by..
No one came over to take our drink or meal order. Told my hubby 5 mins then I'm walking out..
Within 4 mins the hostess was fixing the table we moved from..
Asked politely, if someone can take our order..
Felt like they forgot us..lol

Awesome awesome food, philly egg rolls must have! & all other entrees and even salads are absolutely delicious! Teddy that bartends there Sunday and Monday is our favorite guy! But overall super friendly staff and fun atmosphere 👍🏼

This is not the old diner it used to be...the atmosphere is very cozy and comfortable with large bankettes in the bar area, which would seat 6-8 people. Our waitress and other staff members, were very attentive and friendly, the food was excellent, with the Chopped Salad large enough for 2-4 people. The only negative for me was that is was dark, perhaps because of all the TVs playing, I will be back!

On 6-8-15 at 8 pm we made our first visit to Eli's in Milford. We had been meaning to try it based on a friends recommendation of the Eli's in Hamden.
We work long hours and often have dinner out.
To get right to the point... Service was apathetic. The food overall was very disappointing.
We ordered a bacon potato flatbread- this was actually good.... Better than Bar in New Haven! But that's were the good experience ended!
The minestrone soup lacked flavor..very blah. The grilled chicken sandwich that I asked for was served with warm hollandaise sauce!!?? I was surprised at this...as I had requested mayonnaise.The Eli's salad with grilled chicken lacked substance and flavor.
The service was SLOW! This meal took almost 90 minutes. Not once was any apology offered or any acknowledgement that this was unacceptable. We observed a much different experience for those seated at the bar.... In particular the younger males being attentively waited on by the female staff. Their food orders were served quickly. In fact our food order was placed before 2 other orders placed by the bar customers and we watched as their food was served at least 15 minutes before ours. In fact 20 minutes after I ordered my sandwich, I was asked if I wanted cheese on it!
I knew that something wasn't right...
Perhaps if we were ordering drinks things would have been different. It shouldn't be!
Our check with tip was 65 dollars and change... For a salad, chicken sandwich, flatbread pizza and 2 soft drinks! Outrageous!
We try to support non-chain, local places in the Milford area. Fortunately for us there are many to choose from...
We really wanted to like Eli's - nice decor/atmosphere... Maybe it was an "off night." I took the time to send this email because if this were my business...I would want feedback from a customer.
Hopefully this helps to create a better experience for others.

Went there on Saint Patrick's Day for lunch and we had corn beef egg rolls they were awesome!!! goat cheese beet salad was great! We had a blueberry cocktail which was out of this world!!!!
