Review Jack's Family Tavern - Millersville

Brandon was a terrific server. Full attention to our requests, along with providing things we hadn't thought of. Also very interactive without imposing on our meal time or conversation. I read a lot of reviews regarding Jack's PRIME RIB, and a couple of people didn't like it (didn't say why), and several said there was plenty, and you'd take some home. I need to describe this monstrosity! Their PRIME RIB was not the best cut, no, yet perfectly cooked! Plenty of delicious fattyness (new word?) cooked into the juicy meat. I had mine medium rare, the way it should be enjoyed. If you don't like medium rare, you really should choose a different cut. Portion? PORTIONS?!?! I decided my "side" for the PRIME RIB to be French fries. Often, I need to tell tablemates to get their own fries. Not here! A pound! A VAST MOUNTAIN of fries, with delicious seasoning, delivered with perfect crispness, and HOT! NOW, let's talk about the PRIME RIB portions. I've put it in all caps each time because it needs to be understood that they deliver the largest cut I have ever seen on a single person's plate! Their PRIME RIB can very easily be split among 2 people, and likely an easy 4! Get the PRIME RIB and fries for under $35 (2023). Bring an appetite!

Omg. It’s been 16 years since I’ve stepped foot in here as a broke college kid, and thankfully NOTHING HAS CHANGED. We got the chicken parm sandwich (literally twice as big as the bun), an order of fresh cut fries (10” plate piled 3” high), the chili cheese nachos, and the scallop and shrimp Alfredo. Everything was great. Even the dinner loaf of bread. Standout to me was the Alfredo sauce. Nice garlic butter flavor 🤤. I forgot to take pictures until we were half done with everything…my bad

It might be a college town bar, but I'm amazed how many seniors and locals fill up the restaurant every time I go...which will be a half hour from now! One of the best ways to judge a place is by how busy it is. Trust me, I see more people who know a good meal/value than college students in there.

The premiere bar for Millersville University is always a good time. Everyone knows each other and has a good time. The drinks are cheap and the food is incredible. The beef tip sandwich and fried green beans are the best things on the menu in my opinion. Just know the bar is small and it can get packed real quick.

It was very busy the night that we went. However, I had been wanting to get a Jack's prime rib for quite some time. I had had it in the past and I believe that it is one of the best tasting in lancaster county. It is aslo a very good value. I knew that I couldn't eat it all but we take the left overs home and get to more meals off of it. The serving of fries is huge for a "single" serving as well as the broccoli. The place was clean including the bathroom. It is dark and loud which is so good when you where glasses and hearing aids. The wait staff works together like a team, and our waitress was wonderful. If like prime rib, Jack's is worth the drive and the wait.

Great food and the staff is always friendly and attentive. Shout out to the blonde bartender/ waitress/ hostess, she is always in a good mood and very friendly and helpful. Also the kitchen staff is awesome they really know how to make delicious food.

Great service and food! Everything was cooked perfectly as ordered. Huge pile of fries made in house, very tasty! The burgers were huge and juicy and the buns were fresh and fluffy. The buffalo deep fried boiled eggs were different but very good and a cool creation!

Loved the draft beer selection, only 1 IPA, and 10 other great beers! As always big yummy serving of fries. Had the burger and it was delicious, cooked just right. Friendly staff and interesting TV choices.

Beef stew bread bowl was fantastic and a great value

Randomly picked this place off the map. Great little restaurant. The food was great quality. Place is worth stopping in and I will most definitely return. Bus staff thoroughly cleaned the tables. Waiter took orders verbally and repeated them back to the group and they were spot on.

Prime Rib is a great deal. I have enough left over to make three meals.

Dinner 🍽 was very good 👍. Chicken Parmagian good. Crab 🦀 cake and Petite filet Menion was cooked very well. Had bread 🍞 rolls and Fried pretzel was soft and had mustard. Grasshopper drink 🍸 was made just right. Server was considerate and attentive. Meals came quickly.

It was a wonderful experience. I came here with the intention of having a good time and I had a great time. The fries were really big and smothered as requested. My iced tea was cold.

Fun place that stays open late at night to eat. Every food I have tried here is great.
