Review Steak 'n Shake - Millersville

This was my first visit and I had a great experience. The employee, Sierra J was really nice and the food was delicious. I tried the french fries and a cookie dough shake and I was very pleased!!

First time visiting this location and I had never experienced this type of location where you walked up to the counter to order instead of having a waitress wait on you. The service was still great, food good and location was clean.

I live this place. A variety of shakes and monster juicy burgers. They should have more of these in the DMV area but whenever I’m close I ALWAYS stop by. If you like Kit Kat, Reece’s, along with strawberry, banana, and chocolate shakes with candy in them then this is the spot. Oh yeah their burgers are good too!

Friendly staff and prompt service. S'nS has been sorely missed as our go-to when visiting South Carolina. It was a welcomed surprise to see this one was only a minor detour off our regular route.

After months of not coming to this restaurant because of poor management. I’m pleased with the experience now. Food was hot. Management very friendly. I told him it’s so much better then all the previous owners. This is my second visit and both times very good. 5 stars ⭐️

Ordered 2 double burger meals and when I got home only received single burger meals. For the price it was not worth it. The steaks are very thin and could barely taste the meat. With the meals the gentleman at the counter said I could get any drink, but was charged an additional $3.50 each for the shakes. Came to $25 for 2 meals.

The food was OK. I ordered a shake and when it was delivered to my table, I asked if they would put a small dollop of ice cream on the top like other places do. The server said she had to ask. The worker she asked said he had to ask the manager. The worker came out and said they weren't allowed to, the manager said I'd have to pay for a cup of ice cream. I only wanted a Tablespoon of ice cream. We paid $28.00 for our meal. I would think a manager would want to accommodate small requests knowing that a happy customer tells other people and will come back.

Imagine if Burger King only sold burgers. That's this place. Definitely good if you are looking for something quick and cheap. Food taste as expected for a fast food chain, somewhat average. The shakes are also pretty good.

I had been here under the past management multiple times, and while the food was always good, the service was atrocious. The drive thru was always packed because it took 10-15 minutes of waiting after ordering just to get a couple burgers and the staff members were incredibly rude. However, under the new management, the service finally seems to have improved. I ordered 3 burger meals, and 4 milkshakes. Got the milkshakes almost immediately, and only had to wait a minute or 2 longer for the burgers. Under the previous management I'm sure it would've taken 20 minutes, but I was in and out within 10 minutes. Finally glad to say the service is on par with the taste of the food. Also, I'd highly recommend the garlic burger and the birthday cake milkshake.

First 2 times my order was wrong. Ordered a turkey club and there was no bacon on it, girl told me it didn’t come with bacon so I got up went and got the menu to show her , today the taco beef salad had 1 tablespoon of beef and a bag full of tortilla strips. When I asked where’s the beef manager said that’s all that is allowed, well make the picture on the menu with less beef. I expect my meal to look like the picture. So it would have been $.99 for a small extra order of beef.

I have been sitting in the drive thru for 20minutes and I still have two cars in front of me before I make it to the window. This happens every time. Not because they are crowded, but because they are incompetent. Last time they did not even start making my food until I made it to the window. Every time I come they are out of something. I’m done with this place today...If I ever make it out of the drive thru.

Drove 45 minutes to try this place out under the new management. Was seated quickly and with a warm smile. Service was excellent and the food was everything I could have imagined (then more). I got the chocolate chip cookie dough milkshake and the original prime burger. Both were made exceptionally well. I also added the special Steak 'n Shake seasoning to my fries (highly recommend). You can even buy some seasoning to take home with you! I also loved how you could see into the kitchen area to see how they were preparing your food. Lastly, the tables, chairs, and menus are clean and fresh!

We have gone through drive thru a few times , and our order has been wrong . The people taking the order are usually rude . And don’t give you any sauces , I have worked fast food and I would never treat a customer how I’ve been treated and I wouldn’t forget to give something someone ask and I. Would also repeat the order back to make sure it was correct.

Has reopened in the last two weeks; food was delicious; it was hot and it did take a little while to get it, but are never disappointed in the food! Met the new owner and he talked with us for a few minutes, and is looking to change the "impression" that people had previously. Ask for Lisa as your server----she is the BEST!!!

This was our first visit under new management. The difference is incredible. The place is clean, service was fast,food was great. I only had one complaint,I ordered my burger without onions. It came with onions. The servers order said no onions. The mistake wasn't the server it was the kitchen. She apologized and offered to take it back. I declined, the wife and I had someplace to be. Under the old management I would not have been made that offer. I'm not a fan of their fries but MUCH better than they used to be. I'm going back.

Just arrived to US, decided to eat in one of our favorite places. We knew about this restaurant from Florida. The burgers were cold. French fries cold. Asked for no mushrooms, and mayo. Well we had mushrooms and no mayo. The waitress Name was Shelby and she was awesome. She was greeting people, serving our food and others, cleaning tables, and helping out with the food.

I stopped through between jobs and tried it out. I've never eaten at one before. The food was good and reasonably priced.

The absolute worst customer service. It’s a shame, because the food and price point is great.

A large banana shake, large fries, a coke, and a bacon double cheeseburger and a $2 tip final bill under $10 how is that even possible I love this place

Takes FOREVER to get your food! Avoid this place. An hour and 45 minutes and only a few of us got food. Will never go back.

Walked in around 7pm on a Thursday night. Never been to a Steak N Shake. Restaurant empty. Literally 2 other tables occupied, with 2 people each, finishing their meals. Dirty plates in dish pans sitting on tables. Trash cans overflowing. Waited about 7 minutes to have someone take my drink order. No one came. Walked out. Nobody said anything or asked me to stay. I honestly wondered if they were in the middle of being held up or something. Across the street, Taco Bell parking lot and drive-thru were both full/overflowing. The locals must know....

Terrible service. Waited 40 mins for cold soggy food that had hair in it. Nobody cared we had a problem with our food either. Should've stayed closed down. Probably won't be long. Don't waste your time.
