Closest thing to haute cuisine in the Milton area. Daily happy hour 2-5 with quality dollar drafts and $3 house wine. Obviously in this market it's hard to have an upscale restaurant but BWB cuts their corners wisely and provides a dining experience that rivals the best in the Pensacola area. A favorite for the wife and me and a must-see destination for friends and family who visit us.

Great atmosphere, quaint, cozy and delicious food! We had our anniversary dinner here tonight! I ordered the Filet Delmonico and my husband ordered the Seared Sesame Seed Ahi Tuna. They were both equally delicious and cooked to perfection which we had the opportunity to thank the chef! Such a wonderful attentive staff too! Thank you!

I had lunch today with some family. The restaurant was slammed pack with only 2 servers. Needless to say, both servers helped each other out to make sure every guest was well taken care of. They did great to be "drowning". The food was amazing as well! Big thanks to our server, Brandon, for working hard today!

By far my new favorite place to eat in Downtown Milton. I got the Chicken Devine and it was amazing. And the nicest staff. My husband might have found his new watering hole with their happy hour specials.

Quaint eatery near downtown, Main Street. Park across the street in the lot or behind the building. Great date spot for Friday evening live music and delicious chef prepared food. We're talking fresh, homemade, unique and flavorful dishes served by really friendly staff in a historic downtown home that's been converted into the Blackwater Bistro. I originally had lunch here with my coworkers and was so impressed my husband and I returned and thoroughly enjoyed dinner. Our waitress, Josie, was a great resource for dinner recommendations. My husband had the Creole Trio Pasta and I had the Chicken Divine. We were both impressed with the quality and quantity of our meals. We completely cleaned our plates, which seemed to be a theme as I saw tables being bussed with consistently empty plates. Full disclosure, we over-ate even opting to indulge in a shared dessert of bread pudding and ice cream. You can judge by the picture how it it was because we almost ate the whole thing, but couldn't muster the last bite, being so full.

Highly recommend this place. Has a little bit of everything. Fits any occasion. You can dress up or dress casual. Eat a bit more towards the fine dining type or just get pizza and burgers. They have a bar here as well. Good service. You may need to call and get a reservation if you dont want to wait a few minutes during peak hours. Our wait was about 15 minutes. Food was amazing and we left very full ha ha! Will definitely be going here again.

First time stopping in, and we were very impressed! Service was quick and friendly. The live band was great (they need to add a band name somewhere on the nights they are playing)! Beer was ice cold and food tasted amazing! Lots of menu choices, so no matter how picky the eater, you should find something they will like! We will patron many times in the future, especially on live music nights! It was busy but that's to be expected for a Saturday night, but there was plenty of seating both inside and out, so if there is a wait, I would guess it would be very short! We noticed several people with their dogs, so I assume pets are welcome, at least in the outside dining area. Don't delay, patron soon! You won't be disappointed!

We went there for a late lunch on Saturday. There was still a good crowd of people at 2pm but plenty of tables. We chose to sit outside on the front porch and it was very pleasant. We started with appetizer of Savory Cajun Cheesecake. Delicious but would have loved a little more luck of heat. We also had Portobello Mushroom Sandwich with potato salad and the Bacon BBQ cheeseburger with sweet potato fries. Everything was delicious! Wish we had room for dessert but maybe next time.

Beautiful and historic restaurant in Milton. The staff was friendly, our server was knowledgeable had great recommendations, and the menu had lots of options. Definitely get the lumpia! The beef wellington was delicious and the sweet potato fries with a side of cinnamon dip was so delicious. Highly recommend and will definitely be back with our dog since there's an outdoor area with tables that's pet friendly.

Had dinner with a friend here per her suggestion. We sat outside and enjoyed a very tasty meal. Atmosphere is casual to dressy. Service was wonderful. They have a large menu with unique samplings. I enjoyed the steak divine with gouda grits. My friend ordered the ? Appetizer sampler. We were both very pleased with our meals. I enjoyed leftovers as well. Highly recommend.

Great dinner last night at Blackwater Bistro. Weather was just right for sitting outside listening to the band. I did not catch their name, but they play some great music. Food was good and the staff was super friendly. We will definitely be back.

The artichoke cheese cake dip was out of this world. The service was also extraordinary. We went there after a wedding rehearsal and they had no problems over exceeding our expectations in a large group. The food, drink and service was exemplary. Thank you Blackwater Bistro you are a gem.

Stopped here on a whim. Best decision ever! Food was fantastic and fresh. Apple cobbler was the best, homemade and warm. Jessica was our server and is personable, pleasant, kind, and attentive. We'll be regulars here when we move here for sure!!

The James McBride Sharit house built ca. 1909 at 5147 Elmira Street in historic Milton, Florida is the location of the Blackwater Bistro. Parking is located across Elmira Street in the Courthouse overflow lot. There is dining available inside, outside on the roomy front porch or at a table outside on the small front lawn. Ample shade is provided by two old trees. There is a handicap friendly ramp to the left of the porch. When you walk in the door, you can feel the history of the house, and enjoy some historic photos on the walls. To the right is a bar area, and to the left is the dining room. The staff is very professional and friendly. I ordered the 12 oz ribeye with mashed potatoes and steamed broccoli. The wait time from ordering to being served was approximately 15 to 20 minutes. The steak was grilled to perfection and was mouth-watering and delicious. The clean rest room features an old wash tub on an antique pedestal for the hand-washing sink... very creative. I would highly recommend this restaurant if you are in the downtown Milton area.

The host was so warm and friendly, inviting and engaging. Their decor, and especially the floor was absolutely stunning! Our waiter Lucas was an absolute delight! He made the entire experience so phenomenal! Lucas helped with making superb menu selections and great drink pairings. We enjoyed the sampler platter of appetizers tremendously, it had coconut shrimp, savory artichoke cheesecake (sounds unusual but I promise it was exceptionally delicious), and a hummus that was way better and so much beyond the norm! Then we enjoyed the Chicken Divine, the Lobster Ravioli (the accompanying Caesar salad had the best untraditional dressing that I have ever had the pleasure of tasting), and a GASP Pizza! Everything was well prepared, prettily plated, and they were all such a tasty treat! Thank you for making my French 75s with tequila in lieu of the usual gin, they made the whole meal even better!!! The portions were great, the prices were really reasonable, the food was awesome, and the staff definitely made our trip to Blackwater Bistro unforgettable! Thank you so much, we hope to return again when we're back in the area!

This was our first time coming since the menu was recently updated and new chef hired and we were very pleased! The little things show the quality, like the flavor of the fries and lumpia that will tell you if the oil is fresh and it makes a big difference, and they nailed it. Everything came out hot and tasted fresh, the gumbo was delicious! Get the artichoke cheesecake app, you will not regret it! Ask for Lucas, he took great care of our party of 6! The peach cobbler was SO good and you can't go wrong with the gouda shrimp and grits either!
