Comet is my go-to hangover cure. Their breakfast is awesome and, while it’s not exactly relevant to me, they do a great job catering to gluten friendly (not gluten-free!) and vegan diets. Last week was my first time trying something that wasn’t breakfast (and not hungover lol) and it was equally as good. Sometimes you just need a simple burger and this did the trick for me. The service here is always really friendly. It’s casual and they talk to you like they’re a friend. I’ve never had bad service here. The atmosphere is cool too—a classic diner feel with a fresh modern look. Don’t miss out on their pies either! A good variety of flavors on rotation and they’re good quality. Comet is a great neighborhood spot for brunch or dinner.

There are a lot of great brunch options. I dined here with a group. The breakfast burritos are tasty, I would add more salsa. The biscuits and gravy are dynamite. Make sure to get some pie. I will not order the egg cheese and bacon croissant again. It comes out as a big bag of grease. Not tasty. When I mentioned this to the server, she did not seem to care. The rest of the service was great. The mimosa was underwhelming. Clean bathrooms. Clean restaurant. Bicycle parking.

Really enjoyed my dinner. Food was amazing. The flavor was right on. Great comfort food. The bloody was just as amazing. The employees were all very nice and did a great job. Well done guys.

Make sure to get here early, the wait can get long on the weekend, and they do not take reservations. The homemade pie was delicious. We all enjoyed our food, but nothing I would highly recommend. The biscuit that was part of their special (Cheddar Bae) was pretty good though. The portions were large, we definitely needed to-go boxes. Service was nice and attentive.

Comet Cafe is a great place to eat. My friends & I came for breakfast. I had the eggs, bacon, toast, and hash browns. All of the food was hot & fresh. The staff are very friendly and professional. They play great background music as well. Definitely recommend!

This cafe is one of my favorite places to eat in MKE. I’ve been here so many times and have tried multiple dishes. Everything from breakfast, pie, sandwiches, drinks and more are all great. The coffee is arguably the BEST…even when compared to some of the nicest coffee shops around, and only for a fraction of the cost. They rarely disappoint. The servers are also just down-to-earth, trendy, and genuine. This is a great place for a leisurely meal and highly recommend to anyone in MKE.

Everything about this restaurant is phenomenal. It has a whole in the wall feel but is busy anytime it’s open Comfortable seating and very pleasant staff. The apps come out fast and can’t miss with any of them. The spinach artichoke dip is incredible. I had the roast beef which had great flavor, texture, and great portion size. Fries are perfectly cooked. Everything on the menu is phenomenal. Warning: it can be a wait during peak brunch hours

Great place for breakfast for families with both vegans and omnivores. Music is a little too loud. Very nice people. Had extra hashbrowns and they reheated really nicely the next day.

Comet Cafe has such a cool vibe & atmosphere! The staff were very friendly & provided great service. Lots of food & alcoholic drink options, including vegetarian/vegan & nonalcoholic options. Prices were reasonable. Milwaukee is lucky to have Comet Cafe! We went on a Friday night around 6 pm and it wasn’t very busy. We ordered two sandwiches for dinner and it was delicious!
