This landmark in MKE has been my go to for 22 years! Love the art that changes. Don’t miss the Alfredo Burger. It’s to die for!
We literally stumbled upon this delightful place on Thanksgiving evening. Our first visit to Milwaukee and we were hungry but everyone was closed. It was the
B E S T experience of our entire trip. 💕
As always a delicious exciting romantic meal with my hubby.. the SSS delicious but the beet salad was just not up to par.. but the cheesecake amazing... #awonderfultime. #elsasthebest
Great food and experience. I would definitely recommend it.
What a wonderful experience! I had the delicious Burger Alfredo and ordered blue cheese dressing with my fries which was spectacular! This is my new spot!
The best service in town!!!!! The food is awesome!!!!!
Always amazing! Ambiance, food & waitstaff... the best!
Elsa’s was recommended by TWO lovely folk who took care of us during our stay at The Pfister Hotel. What a wonderful experience!! The food was PHENOMENAL! The service was even better!
Thank you Roxy and Christopher!!!
This place is still so classy and the food is fab!
Hands down, the best service in town. Highly recommended. And thank you Nate & Larissa for your assistance. Y'all are the real MVP's
1st timer! Nice restaurant, nice atmosphere, interesting location based on parking. Parking is somewhat of a hassle which for me personably would stop me from going. We were a party of 3 and spent a total of $95 for lunch! Gratuity of 18% is added and labeled as “Service charge” please pay attention to your bills. I understand businesses need to make their money and also that people are terrible at leaving tips overall that can be a little much.
For the food, I ordered a Sidecar to drink (recommended by word of mouth) 10/10! For my personal meal I ordered a pork chop sandwich without the mustard and Glad I did! I personally am not a fancy Dijon mustard person and got it on the side and for the sandwich it was too much. I ordered the pork chop well cooked with grilled onions, the bread & pork chop was cooked to perfection but my onions didn’t come grilled they came burnt but overall the sandwich minus the mustard 9/10! The garnish tbh was pathetic and not necessary. Jamison was our server and he was a cool individual. Thanks Elsa on the park glad I was able to visit!
The drinks were well done with a wide selection of cocktails and wine to choose from. Something to pair with every meal, the Galette and Greens, was a great starter and definitely stole the show. Burgers were made well to order, though could have been improved upon in some of their simpler forms; though, the modular structure of the Au Poivre allows a lot of creativity on the patrons' side. Did not have room for dessert, but will definitely return. Service was attentive and quick, though the atmosphere felt a bit more tailored towards a lively night out. All in all, will return, this is a worthwhile experience for the money.
I hadn't been here in 20 years. Their service was still 5 star ⭐ & the food was flawless. The host was very attentive & Kind!! Our server was good too. The food was so delicious. The desert had me talking about coming back for more. Wonderful experience for our anniversary. Reasonably priced. Great portions. People brought kids but it's really not the kind of place for kids.
Cute date spot. The people I met at the bar are regulars and enjoyed the food. We got the wing platter. I enjoyed the ginger soy wings the most. Wouldn't mind going back to try other dishes.
I Absolutely Love Elsas. Great Atmosphere. My Fave Staff Are De'Adre, John Sr & John Jr. Always Welcoming, Friendly And Accommodating. If You Are Served By These Guys, The Service Will Always Be Top Tier. I'm A Regular, So I've Pretty Much Had Every Thing On The Menu, But My Faves Are Always The Buck N Teriyaki Wings And Must Have Golden Gate Cake. After You Have Cocktails From Here And Go Else Where Nothing Else Will Be Up To Par. Starburst & Lemon Drop Martinis Are My Absolute Fave. I Love The Different Artwork They Display On Their Walls. My Go To Spot Whether I Am Alone, Date Night Or Girls Night Out.
Cute and quaint spot on the park. While known for their martinis, they also have lots of delicious and healthy lunch options and are used to business lunches so can get you served efficiently. Was curious to see that the gratuity was already included for our lunch for 2, so don't accidentally double tip.
I called before getting there and asked about what has become one of my favorite drinks “ Lavender Gimlet” I prefer it made with tequila instead of gin the taste great Bartenders are wonderful atmosphere is exquisite!
Haven’t been in awhile and just as great as I remember! Our server Aiden was wonderful and attentive, even on a crazy Saturday night, and John was very welcoming at the door. Still one of the best places in Milwaukee whether you want drinks, dinner, dessert or all three. Great service and experience always.
Our group of five arrived 5 minutes after opening on Sunday night and the restaurant was already half full. Been at least 10 years since last visit and yet Elsa's felt familiar and comfortable.
Overall a good experience. Main issue was the service. Not with our server, but with the time it took to get our food. Our two appetizers took nearly 30 minutes to arrive and the entrees an hour. We did enjoy the food once it arrived.
Bonus: the holiday decorations in the park across the street were beautiful.
The drinks are well worth their price, the food is good- elevated classics but nothing too fancy. The waitstaff is generally great as well, but it does seem like a loose work environment despite their uniforms. We’ve had a waiter who was definitely high on something, but it was fun, and the last time I went I caught my waiter literally shoving his hand into the jar of olives at the bar and eating them while he waited for drinks… he also made direct eye contact with me afterwards like “yeah, I did that”. Lol. One of those places you go for entertainment in addition to great cocktails and yummy food. And the desserts are delicious!
Man, the chef at this needs a raise. We were going to leave because they didn't have steak, but I went ahead and ordered a patty melt, in addition to the wings and nachos we had already ordered before we decided to stay, and then ordered dessert as well. All I have to say is the food is made with love. The atmosphere is great, clean restaurant, clean bathrooms, but or waitress had no personality, a fish slapping me in the face would have had a better personality. Anyway, I'd still highly recommend it. Plus they add an 18% gratuity automatically, what do people not in Milwaukee? I wound up giving her 20% anyway.
I had such a wonderful experience at Elsa's. The wait staff was fantastic, the ambiance was perfect, and the food was incredible. The Teriyaki Pork Salad was not only delicious, but presented beautifully. It was a surprise with every bite. They really make it feel like a special night. I will no doubt be going back!
Elsa’s is a great spot with awesome wings. For this to be my first time here I felt rushed by the Server. He didn’t ask if it was my first and rushed me to order. He did however get it together, because I definitely wasn’t gonna leave him a tip. Nevertheless the food and scene was a vibe! I had the Dragon and Ginger wings with a Strawberry Lemon Drop
I am amazed that this restaurant is still popular..,,,,, amazed and happy!! The food ( especially the Las Brisas Burger on homemade bread) was insanely delicious!!! Do they still make this burger? And back then the walls were decorated with the artwork of local artists. The upscale decor, The ambience, the friendly and attentive waitstaff and the food made it my favorite place to dine ( in the 90’s) and a place to meet interesting people!!
Oh and let’s not forget “Jazz in Park” which they hosted on Thursday evenings in the park directly across the street! And the contest they ran for the best decorated picnic area! I’m telling you this was the “go to” spot back then, And I’m so glad they still are!! Kudos to the management!!!!
This is the best place in the whole state of Wisconsin. Do you hear me do you understand what I’m saying because if you don’t, then you need to go check it out as soon as possible from the food to the drinks everything is A1 top-notch you will not be disappointed there is no restaurant or bar or lounge or anything that is beating this place out of all of the places that I’ve ever been to in Wisconsin, this is NUMBER ONE. I am dead serious. Please check this out. I’ve done a lot of reviews, but this is the best. This is my number one spot ever.
We had a beautiful experience at elsas on the park.
The absolute HIGHLIGHT of our visit was the blonde haired gentleman who brought our food out (would love to learn his name) The conversations with him were the BEST!
We drove 2 hours for a concert and decided to try here for dinner.
we had Wings and water chestnuts for apps.
grouper, pork chop sandwich, burger and turkey bacon club. Everything was cooked to perfection and delicious.
the cons: we waited in line outside and we were the 2nd table seated. We sat and watched as EVERY single table that was sat after us was brought water and had service. We were just ignored. I asked if we had a server and was told "we are busy they will be with you"
5 min later our waitress finally came over (after greeting 2 tables before us) She seemed like she had absolutely 0 clue what she was doing. I thought it was her first day.... we were layer informed shes been there for months. As 2 ppl in the service industry at VERY busy places it was surprising. Prob one of the worst servers we have ever had.
18% gratuity is added to every check but they don't tell you when bringing the check.
I made sure to slip the food runner some $ cuz he beyond deserved it.
P.s. order the golden gate something dessert WARMED UP!!! AMAZING.
If the food runner guy sees this hopefully he shoots me a friend request because id love for him to be our future bestie 🤣😍
