If your looking for a true diner this fits the bill, breakfast was awesome hash browns were crispy and some of the best french toast I have ever eaten!!!! The waitress was awesome great conversation and laughs :)
Classic Diner Style Food. If you like or I should love butter, this is the place to eat at. Double cheese burger, with butter and mayo, Old fashion chocolate malt. Single serving and excellent French fries. The atmosphere bring you back in time and the staff is out of this world. Will continue to visit..
Excellent Wisconsin style diner! The butter burgers are to die for. Also, the breakfast sandwiches on fresh Sciortino Italian bread are great!
I get there as often as i can. The 50 minute drive is worth it. As for the butter...... that's why we go there. The pool of it on the plate needs to be soaked up with the bun as you eat it. YUMMY.

The waitress experience is like the Corvette Diner Experience....they have all been there a long time and are no nonsense because it can get crowded...if you lke “butter” burgers, there is no other...
Been going for the delicious burger on a pillow with awesome onions and butter that this Wisconsin girl loves. Great soup,shakes the best and I have a lot of tasters young and old, and apple pie more elaborate than this mom. Great wait staff always.Been hanging out for more years than I can explain.long story short I find this corner the BEST����

The ORIGINAL butter burger location did not disappoint when we visited and left me with an experience that will see me return!
Solly's wasn't too busy when we visited for a Friday night but we did arrive early on purpose to ensure that we would miss the rush. Upon arrival I did see the double arches bar seating only but found the seating to be pretty good and comfortable. The people were very friendly and upon being greeted we were told we could sit on either side. Our server was very friendly and took our order right away. She also informed us that there was only one slice of Door County Cherry Pie remaining, to which I immediately said we would take it. Our order was put in and our server came with the pie boxed up so that we could take it home.
The original butter burger is why I came so I was really excited to give it a try. Crinkle cut fries came out first and immediately following was the butter burger right on time. The server prepped the fries while the grill was taken care of but the timing was in harmony. The burger does have a good amount of butter which makes it awesome! It is a steak burger & not ground beef making it different from something you would get in other places. The fries were good and crispy. We also got a patty melt meal which had the same goodness but didn't have as much butter so a good balance if you don't want to go all in on the butter.
One thing I didn't notice but should call out is that they have red cream soda so if you are a fan of this like I am then you can get that with your order too. Finally we had some caramel cinnamon apple pie with ice cream which was awesome. We got a cookie too just to try them and I will say they seemed to be more of a soft grocery store bought consistency than a homemade fresh baked feel.
At home we gave the Door Country cherry pie a try which was good with just the right tart / sweet taste. I would highly recommend stopping by here and I will be back here myself as well for THE original butter burger!

Me and my father saw this on one of the food Network channels about their butter burger so we just had to go. We got there just as they open for breakfast and they serve everything all day we each had a butter burger they're chili which is amazing and a real deal vanilla malt milkshake. This was absolutely some of the best food of the entire trip The staff there were great personable love talking and answering questions you could tell the grill master knows what He's doing he was like a machine just cranking out food it was truly amazing. The menu was incredible The service was fast Price was great and while we were in there people just kept coming in for takeout orders butter burgers everywhere as we were leaving and started to get pretty packed so it is a must go to if you're in Milwaukee for food
I would like to give a big thank you to Lexi. She was amazing in explaining the menu. This was my first visit. I will return. Compliments to the chef as well! Worth the hype!
A classic burger joint and our waitress Kim was awesome!! Hadn't been there in about 5 yrs. Now that my son is at UW Milwaukee I will have a reason to stop back more often!
There is something sensual about sinking your teeth into this burger....butter slowly trickles down your arm as tears swell in your eyes. You almost don't want to chew in fear of losing that euphoric feeling. You do chew, but slowly, and with your eyes closed, while your favorite love song plays in your head. It's.... beautiful.
The original burger with cheese is amazing, however they do use a LOT of butter so if you don't like butter this isn't for you. Their fries are great too. They have nice thick shakes and they give you enough for like 2 ½ shakes, banana is my favorite

Stop here on a recommendation from a friend who grew up In Milwaukee and it didn’t disappoint. A quaint little counter service diner. I had the Solly and it was one of the best burgers I’ve ever had. But how can you beat the combo of a butter burger with cheese and bacon. The side of cheese curds we also top notch.
For a UK citizen to visit this burger place, oh my life. The burgers were out of this world.
The evening we visited, I was feeling quite unwell, and yet as soon as I sunk into the burger, I couldn't think of anything but the sensation these burgers have on your taste buds.

This is a local must visit restaurant when you're at Milwaukee. Historical for the pioneer of butter Burger. The price is amazing for the quality and taste of the food. Love the idea sitting around the counter while the waitress serve you. No waiting list when we visited them but it was steady flow of customer.
The food and service were fantastic. We had the honor of meeting the owner who also cooked our food. My father, who is a veteran, was thanked for his service & given a military discount. My family & I love this place!
This weekend was my first time here and I don’t know why I haven’t been here before! This place is amazing with anything you get. I got the double bacon cheeseburger and it was simply amazing. The cheese curds were great as well. The key lime pie was very good!The service here was among the best ever with our waitress talking with us and making us feel at home and cared about. I will be back here again for sure!

Classic diner with friendly staff and quick service. Came here on a Friday with a group. The Fish Fry was decent; good fish, breading was crunchy but didn't have much flavor. Grilled cheese tasted very fresh and had plenty of cheese but it lacked a strong flavor. Fries are great, not salty. Butterburgers come with a generous amount of butter on top.
