Without a doubt I had the best chicken masala I have ever had! Friendly wait staff, inviting environment, warm and cozy on a cold Dec night. I would highly recommend it!

I'd give it 10 stars if I could. My family (8 of us) all truly enjoyed our meals. My mom and I both had the gluten free pasta. Absolutely amazing. I had the Bolganese sauce. Delish!! We ordered arancini, pizzas, chicken, and dessert. All homemade from scratch. The owner even came out and talked with us. Our server was fabulous. I'll be back!! Grazie Mille!

Was hard to order the pizza here because the veal and everything else is so good. But you must try the pizza, it's phenomenal. Peter the chef is the nicest guy around. Usually guys named Peter are great for whatever reason. Try the pizza, you'll love it!

This is a great family-run and family-friendly restaurant! Appetizers were fast and fresh (love the fried eggplant). Bread is tasty and authentic. Salad was a healthy size, and dressings were homemade and delicious. I haven't found a soup I care for, but who cares?? We had four good wine selections and various cocktails. Best Sicilian Steak my husband has ever had, bro-in-law's marinated rack of lamb was great. I think that "Lisa's Special" Shrimp and Scallop pasta in a lemony white wine sauce is my favorite pasta anywhere! Add capers. :) We've had happy servers even when they've been busy. I can always get a reservation, and when someone runs late, they don't freak, they are matter-of-fact. The Tiramisu was a large piece, perfectly made. The Cannoli was crispy with cinnamon, and creamy inside. Love it! Clean and nicely decorated. Lower the lights a bit during the evening please. Enjoy full apps, salads, dinners, desserts and booze: about $300 for five adults. Great experience.

Every year, I spend a portion of my year in Italia, and I can confidently say that this is the best pizza in Milwaukee! I am also a huge fan of the arancini and the tiramisu!

Besides the food being authentic & fantastic, Carini’s gives you the feel that you’re at a quaint restaurant in Sicily. Don’t be fooled by the quaintness & charm, this place has more seating than it appears but does a great job of creating an intimate atmosphere. The staff is friendly & attentive as well! 🍕🍝🍷

I liked the overall atmosphere and also the food was really delicious. Just a bit overpriced, maybe? Also, as soon as we were done with our food, the waitress seemed to be in a hurry to get rid of us 😁

Southern Italian food at it's best. Day of so we phone ahead, and it's best if you do. This place fills up! I had the Conca d'Oro (clam, muscle, shrimp, calamari with pasta in a light marinara sauce.) Meravigliato!! I saw familes, friends and first dates enjoying themselves. 😉 And don't forget dessert! I had the laval cake, because IT'S LAVA CAKE! Yumm! Mangia mangia!!

This might be the best restaurant in Milwaukee. The food is up there with some of my favorite spots in southern Italy. The attention to detail is so great that when I walked in recently, they apologized for not having my usual Peroni, so they poured me two other Italian beers samples and asked which I preferred. White not being a VPN pizzeria, they continue to churn out the best Neopolitan pizza in the Midwest. Whether it's date night, bellying up to the bar, carry out or Sunday family dinner --- Carini's cannot be beat.

Wow! I was so impressed at my first visit to Carinis. This restaurant has been around forever, 20 years ago I took drivers Ed in the business next door and it was there then too! It was a Sunday and my usual places were closed, so I looked at restaurants near me with 5 star reviews and this one came up. I have been to Italy and I LOVE authentic Italian food, which is honestly hard to find. Me and my aunt decided to give it a try. So many places on Oakland Ave go out of business in 1-2 years, so for this place to still be there says something!! First impression was that the inside was very cutely decorated and there are separate dining rooms, which really helps keep the noise down and makes it more intimate. Definitely reminiscent of Italy! Our server (Anise?) was extremely sweet and attentive, and she gave the perfect level of customer attention. We ended up splitting a bottle of wine since they were half off, and I got the mussels appetizer and octopus salad. Mussels were amazing, the sauce was so good. I have ordered mussels at countless restaurants in Milwaukee and these were some of my favorites. The octopus salad is what really blew me away! When it came out, it looked super basic. Arugula, tomatoes, olives, and a big grilled tentacle. I am honestly not used to octopus being served like that so I was taken aback. However, I’m an adventurous person so I went for it! The grill of the octopus was absolutely perfect. If i lived in town, I would be back here once a week for it. The restaurant was definitely busy even on a Sunday night and lots of diverse people there, as well. All in all, a great experience and I ate everything on my plate! Very happy to have tried this new (old) place! I will be back with more family.

Truly the best place near UWM. Food is extremely cheap for the perfect Italian quality Carinis provides. I took my girlfriend here on a whim and was blown away by the amazing food and comfortable atmosphere. Waiters are so kind, and the chef/owner is the kindest pureblood Italian men I’ve ever met. Easily one of the best pizza and pasta places I’ve ever been to.

My husband and I took our 20 yr old niece here for her birthday. The food and the service was outstanding! Everything was super fresh and flavorful. The entire staff was very attentive and genuinely friendly (not fake-nice). The chef even came out to ask us how the dinners were! Prices were very reasonable for both the quality and quantity of food. We left with a small tower of leftovers! I highly recommend this place for any occasion, or none at all. You won’t be disappointed.

Okay restaurant. Large portions, a bit pricey. Servers are very nice, but the ceiling fans could use a good swipe. Food tastes just like any other Italian American food, no surprises there, tastes exactly how you expect it to. Good place for family meals or meeting.

Carini’s is a hidden gem. My husband and I both went to UWM years ago and now I teach at UWM and we just found out about this place! I can’t believe we missed out on this restaurant for so long. This place is cozy, welcoming, friendly…. Everything you would expect from a real Italian restaurant. We ordered drinks, mussels and both got the whole branzino. The branzino was better than at Harbor House! The flavors on each dish were perfection. The branzino was fresh, outside was crispy and had beautiful composition of seasonings. We were blown away! This is a family owned restaurant and many of the family members work here. The owner and chef, checked on everyone to make sure they were enjoying their meals. We don’t get to enjoy branzino often and the chef showed us how to cut into the fish. We never actually learned how to do that so we were really grateful. The waiter, Santina, was very welcoming and did a great job! We will be requesting him when we come back. Carini is very affordable and very clean. You can tell they take a lot of pride in their restaurant. I will be recommending this place to everyone and I can’t wait to take our other family members here for our dinner nights. Thank you so much for your executional service and food!

I was traveling on business and enjoyed dinner at Carini's. I sat at the bar and had great conversations with one of the owners and a bartender. Both were super friendly and really made me feel welcome. My meal, pasta dish with vegetables and shrimp, was delicious.
