Barnacle Bud's - Milwaukee - Photo album

Off the beaten path, on the water, so much character and fun! Great food and servers! I love Barnacle Buds in the warm season and the created newly Genes pop up restaurant was fantastic today! Make reservations!
We're cycling from the public market to try out this place. It's hidden inside the dock. Great rustic setup, a super fun vibe. We ordered half a dozen fresh oysters and garlic mussels. Fresh, tasty, and good-sized oyster. Garlic mussels are the best white wine garlic with butter I ever have. It look
Huge awesome patio on the river. Great staff. Quick service. Huge delicious burger. Tuna and grouper sandwiches looked great. The Holy Smokes burger was super good, great flavor.
Got the grooper po'boy and it was delicious. It was actually a lot of food and I wish I could've finished it all. Either way, it was a great sandwich and the fries were perfect. The location is definitely a little confusing to get to, but man oh man was it a treat. It almost feels like you're not in
Epic spot on a boat tour! The vibe is happening here. Just had a few drinks but the atmosphere was great and the staff very friendly
Last night, my date and I had fabulous meal at Gene's Supper Club, aka Barnacle Bud's. What a fun concept. It was cozy with a bit of kitschy holiday flair! The food and cocktails were DELICIOUS! We love the mussels, with a bit of heat, the cheese curds that we're freshly fried in homemade same
The food was amazing! I had the lobster roll. It was very good. Very fresh. My husband and kids had the coconut shrimp and cod. Both were very good also
Once was Milwaukee's coolest hidden gem. Not so hidden anymore. Just went on beautiful Tuesday night and there was a wait to get seated if you were eating. Have been going for 25 years, people have definitely found it. Funky Key West vibe. Great place to have drinks in the summer. Virtually all
My husband and I went to Barnacle Bud's and loved everything! Lovely atmosphere, located next to water. We decided to sit outdoors as it was our first time at the restaurant. The waitress was helpful and attentive. The food was delicious! We recommend this restaurant. It's a little hard to find, bu
Enjoy river views from a wooden table on what looks like a pier/boardwalk. In the summer the atmosphere is quite pleasant and feels more like you're on a tropical island rather than in Milwaukee! Recommend the Reuben Grouper!
It's always a great place to eat and enjoy the lake.. Great atmosphere...
Unique waterfront bar and restaurant that lets you escape the Midwest to step into a dockside backdrop. It’s fun to watch the various boats dock and passengers step onshore to Barnacle Bud’s. Hard to believe you are in ol’ Milwaukee! One point of confusion on the menu was why “Grooper” had an ast
Tropical drinks on the river? What's not to love? We were entertained by a solo singer crooning tributes to the Eagles, Billy Joel and the late Jimmy Buffet. It's on the pricey side but was willing to splurge over Labor Day weekend.
Grouper Rueben sandwich is totally yum. Large oysters! Super sweet onion rings. Drinks are tasty and reasonably priced. Service was prompt AB’s really nice!
Another wonderful dinner tonight! We got reservations for the Christmas pop-up experience and wowed our San Francisco friends. Kitchy vibe with killer cocktails and stellar food. Don’t miss it!
Really great seafood restaurant. Fun river front atmosphere. Fun decorations. Lots of outdoor seating.
My wife and I have been to Key West many times, an Barnacle Buds, believe it or not is a little piece of Key West in Milwaukee. It's an outdoor restaurant, some of it has a roof over it, plenty of bench or 2 seater tables. You get a great view of the Milwaukee river overlooking the city in a distan
We were greeted with a warm welcome! Grabbed a drink at the bar while we waited for a table to open up. We didn't wait long, and were seating right by the water and got to watch the beautiful sunset. Our waitress was Olivia, and let me tell ya, she knows how to provide customer service! Such a warm
The kind of hole-in-the-wall place that you would go out of you way to find! The staff have the perfect combination of friendly and surly. My coconut shrimp were overcooked - it happens. Great location, fun atmosphere!
