Excellent smoked tri tip sandwiches and the best biscuits and gravy. Once again voted the Best Breakfast in Carson Valley and this year Best brunch as well. It is a must stop for travelers and locals insist it is absolutely the favorite place for a relaxing place to meet friends and grab a hearty meal. Closed Monday, they are a local based business but keep a sharp eye as you could pass them.
Friends live in minden have eaten here for years, so we tried it yesterday, best omelet I've ever had, the meat combo, great hash browns great service

Got to try the chicken fried chicken with the best gravy I've had! Next time lunch and that Philly steak, my son swears it was the best ever and he's an expert.

This place was like visiting the wild West.
There were customers in cowboy hats, and all sorts of memorabilia from the old West on the wLls. Guns, spears, photos, ammunition, branding irons.
The service was swift and helpful.
Food was plenty ... and rather high on calories.
I had the chicken froed stake. It was good ... stake and eggs and hash browns were good. The gravy lacked flavor I will have another dish next time, probably an omelette ...
Would I come back? Yes :-)
PS it is best to visit outside of rush hours ... avoid the waiting in line
Excellent place for breakfast! The ambiance is wonderful, rustic Western. I had a traditional egg breakfast and it couldn't have been better, especially the hash browns! Highly recommended!

This place is the go to breakfast and lunch cafe in the minden area. The cowboy decor along with the friendly town atmosphere makes for the best weekend morning breakfast get together. I highly suggest bringing friends or family here especially if your going to plan an event.
Always a warm welcome, delicious home cooked food, great Country gravy, excellent service, and friendly, small town hospitality…and family friendly pricing…that line you experience, on weekends, is locals, and tourists, who know where to eat 👍
