Very decent lobster roll. I like adding lobster on Rex burger too. Self service restaurant but they do bring food to your table. You should take your tray to bar after you finish. Retro decor. Good size parking lot. An easy comfortable delicious place.
Fast Food
Went here with the extended family for lunch. There was 9 of us. Most of us ordered the lobster rolls and fries. A couple of us ordered their signature burgers and fries. We also ordered a couple of shakes, yummy. The food was excellent. The staff was pleasant but I think a little overwhelmed with the amount of orders we put in at one time but they did a good job. You order at the counter and then find a table and they bring out your food to you or you can come to the counter to pick it up. The atmosphere and vibe are cool. The decor was tasteful and casual.

I heard rumors about this existing, so naturally, as a burger lover, I had to go see what this thing was all about. I came on a mission and went straight to the register and loudly asked for the Rex Burger with Lobster and let me tell you - it did not disappoint! I’m usually not a fan of seafood with cheese BUT THIS BURGER WORKS and it was ABSOLUTELY DELICIOUS!!! Plenty of lobster meat on top too, which I thought they would skimp on, but NOPE! My new favorite burger spot - can’t wait to come back!

Recently visited this fine restaurant. Food is exquisite. Very tasty and amazing. I just wished they gave salad or some greenery with the orders as complimentary but I believe they have salad for purchase on the side. For our group we tried the lobsters supreme which was pricy but worth the taste. It’s definitely a sandwich dedicated to seafood lovers or lobster enthusiasts. We also ordered fries which were really good too! We also ordered a hot brownie shake which was absolutely delicious especially if you’re a chocolate flavor individual. Definitely will be back to try the burgers and chicken sandwich and also the salad!

Great place for burgers, fries and a shake. I was pleasantly surprised to see a special offer lobster included all sandwiches. What a nice combo. Definitely plan to return soon to try the chicken sandwich.

$10 for an incredible double cheeseburger is a ten star win! Rex Burger with lobster was absolutely smashing! Food comes out hot and quick.

Visited The Rex on a Saturday afternoon. The staff was very friendly and offered suggestions on menu items to try. I had The Rex Burger with bacon and fries and a soda. It was about $25.
The food didn't take too long to come out. Everything was fresh and delicious. The fries were a generous portion and could easily be shared between 2 people. The burger came with 2 patties and was seasoned well.
That being said, for the price point you could get an equally good burger at a diner for a lower price. But overall it's worth a try if you are in the area.

I love their lobster rolls. For that price, it’s nice and meaty with lobsters. Usually no wait, quick simple. I just wished they opened later. Took my girlfriend there Friday night at 7:30 and we couldn’t stay long because they close at 8:00. By 8:30, the staff was leaving and we felt bad so we left too.

Oh boy! I found me a new spot!! I had the biggest lobster roll I've ever had and it was every bit as amazing as it looked. This place is super casual. Take it to go or enjoy your stay and if you stay the interior of the place is very very nice. I was there on a hot summer day and the whole front was open with a couple of out door seats. There's a bar too if you'd like, just wish they had a drink menu. Also, if you've never been, it's hard to tell that you order and seat yourself as you take your order in the back, I had to stumble in and didn't figure it out until someone eventually noticed me. Also, wasn't too big on their fries and I love french fries, I appreciate how their hand made and prepared and all but they just didn't do it for me; too skinny. Other than that, staff was helpful and food came out fairly quick. I will be back and I'm putting my friends on.

Went here for 1st time on a Sunday and it wasn’t very busy. Menu has burgers, chicken sandwich, lobster roll, salad, fries, milkshakes, desserts. I ended up getting the chicken sandwich (mild- they have option of spicy also), fries with black truffle sauce, and a mint chocolate chip milkshake. Chicken sandwich was very juicy and buttery. Bun very soft which has pros and cons. Tasted great but did get a little soggy. Fries were thin and good. Milkshake tasty w big bits of chocolate. Would go again and try other options!

Absolutely delicious lobster rolls on Long Island! They offer 2 sizes and also 2 styles of lobster roll. I loved both styles, but my personal favorite was the cold, mayonnaise-based roll. However, some people prefer the hot, butter-based roll; it’s completely personal preference!

Was visiting family in Patchogue from Savannah, GA. For two years I followed Rex Burger and Lobster Instagram posts. So when I finally made it back to LI to visit I got my family to go. Everyone loved it, the sandwiches, we all great! The service was good and the atmosphere was bright and friendly. Loved it, worth the wait.

I have passed this place a few times and I was glad I finally got my chance last night.
The supreme lobster roll comes at a high price but it is definitely packed with loads of Lobster. Got it done warm and really enjoyed every bite. It just goes by so fast 😆
The burger was a solid burger. Reminded me a little of Five Guys.

This place did not disappoint. It was out first stop out for the birthday events. The Supreme lobster roll was fire! I didn't mind too much that it was mostly claw meat. It was filling, our food came out fast, hot, and with a smile.
I think offering a cup of ice for your purchased fridge drink would be a nice touch if any feedback at all.

The food taste really good, but honestly not worth the price given the portion. The spicy chicken sandwich ($13) only comes with lettuce and pickles and isn't spicy, but still very tasty. However, the fries ($5) are nothing spectacular, just regular salted shoestring fries. In addition, the container is very small (slightly bigger than a McDonald's small) and comes half-filled as you can tell from the picture. If they were more generous with the fries, I would have rated them higher. Still a good place for a quick bite though.

Good restaurant, great food, good atmosphere, staff is friendly and helpful. The shakes are really really good especially the dulce de leche shake. Prices are somewhat reasonable could be better but for good food it's well worth it. I didn't get a chance to try their drinks from the bar, maybe next time. They do deliver through seamless and Grubhub which is pretty good and quick. Overall it's a great restaurant to come dine in or take out. They should really consider opening one more restaurant in the south shore area of long island, either in the long beach area or near sunrise highway in Rockville Centre.

I celebrated my birthday with lunch at The Rex. This was the 2nd time I had visited The Rex and the service and food was just as good as the first time! I had the Supreme 7.5 oz. Lobster Roll, with warm butter. It was huge and I ATE ALL OF IT!! So delicious! And I love their fries and the special dipping sauces. I can't stop recommending this place!!
