Review Golden Chick - Mineola

Very friendly staff. Helpful with different options----original or spicy. I wasn't sure which one to order so she offered me some samples of the spicy seasoning. We had heard about the rolls and we were not disappointed.

So, where do I begin… my family ordered $95.00 worth of food from this establishment because we had a bunch of family in town and wanted something fast and fresh. We waited patiently for our order because we knew it was large and we wanted it done correctly. Well, all the patience in the world meant nothing because not only was the order completely wrong but the food was ice cold! I have never had cold fried okra before and I do not recommend it at all. When I say everything was cold, I mean just that! Chicken, chicken strips, okra, jalapeño poppers, fries, mashed potatoes, ALL COLD! I mean they didn’t even try to hide the fact that this chicken had been sitting there all day. I thought we could rectify the situation by calling the store but no one answered and we had already made it back to our gathering. Since we got no answer, I decided to back to the restaurant the next day to speak to the owner, Carol. I explained the situation to her at which point she asked me what I would like for her to do. I asked her what she thought she could do within reason to which she answered… nothing! Why would you ask me what I’d like to see happen when you had zero intention of fixing the situation? Her approach was unprofessional and rude from the start but that statement put the nail in the coffin. Please don’t waste your money at a place that couldn’t care less about quality service or food quality for that matter. That food could have made us sick because there’s no telling how long it was just sitting around their store. We weren’t looking for anything for free, we just wanted hot food and friendly service. Not even partial credit or refund was offered. Unprofessional!

This is good food… they struggle with keeping good employees… lines are super long. Great Tea and Tenders… always ask for Napkins or utilities, they never automatically put them in the bag..always double check bf leaving. It’s better to be safe

Wanted to try the chicken breast sandwich being advertised as 20% bigger “breast”. Upon inquiring it’s just a chicken patty “made from chicken breast”. Very misleading. Ordered a reg breast with okra. They were out of okra, fries AND corn fritters. Went to get tea. Sweet was empty. I informed mgmt who got me tea from the back. Later on went for refill. Still no tea. Girl goes back and brings out a big tub of water. Management needs to get this under control or it may wind up like the last couple chicken places at the same location. Will say couple previous stops were okay. But too many issues tonight

If negative stars was an options that's what this place would have received. If you want to spend nearly a $100 and receive horrible service along with cold food you've come to the correct place. Carol thank you for letting me know that you no longer wanted a patron as myself to dine with you. And let's not forget the laughs were you definitely let me know my money wasn't welcomed. I've never had an owner of an establishment laugh in my face when I was simply searching for a solution to a problem at their establishment. Consider me and my family past customer's because we will NEVER be back.

After seeing roaches at the old location we were hesitant to give the new location a try. We do enjoy the food and have gone to the new location several times since they opened, but after today we will not be returning. An employee cleaned up a customer's bloodvoff the counter who was in line in front of us and did NOT wash her hands after, but proceeded to touch boxes with orders in it. We left immediately and tried to call management but there was no answer.

First time going to a Golden Chik. Was told it'd good. First I wasn't given any napkins or utensils to eat the mashed potatoes. I ordered part fried and part roasted. Only got fried and when I opened the box there were dozens of pin feathers sticking out of the breading. I took more off and both thighs had feathers still there. I won't be going back. Disgusting.

Customer service was great and so was the food but the main reason I go to Golden chic is for the sweet tea however the sweet tea tasted unsweetened including the gallon I bought which was marked sweet. So whoever is making your sweet tea now really sucks.
