The Dakota (jazz Club & Restaurant) - Minneapolis - Photo album

I feel like I have been to this location in the past but felt completely different. Setup for a multi concert show for the amazing MUSIQ Soulchild. Wonderful atmosphere, great drinks and although there were a few hiccups with the sound system, we were so glad we did not let the downpour storm stop
I’ve seen several bands/musicians play the Dakota. Most recently Billy Bob Thornton and his band. My favorite that I’ve seen is John Splithoff. A great show! The space is intimate. The service is good. They don’t bother you unless you turn over a card requesting service. The food and drinks are gre
Went to A Swingin’ Christmas w/ The Andrew Walesch Big Band. What a fun way to celebrate the holiday! The Dakota is beautiful. The cocktails were on point. The music was the perfect mood maker. As it was mainly a mix of traditional crooner holiday favorites, the rendition of Last Christmas was unexp
Premier live jazz music venue in Minneapolis, Minnesota. They bring quality acts of well-known musicians. Food and drinks are exceptional. Service is knowledgeable, and courteous.
Great venue, friendly service and good food. If have given 5 stars if you would provided cocktail napkins with subsequent beverages. After my second drink was sloshed on the table and I asked for a napkin she came back with a dinner napkin?
I just got to say the service here is beautiful. I felt welcomed as soon as I walked in the door. The bar tender is very personal with the drinks. The food is beyond expectations, the cooks really know how to season the food! I highly recommend the Dakota cheeseburger!!
We are super thankful to have this fully immersive, intimate jazz spot that brings in astonishing and highly talented jazz stars. We’ve taken in bluegrass, a lot of Brazilian music, some indie, and several exceptional cover bands. Recently we heard Chris Botti – so very, excellent!!! We are huge fan
We had a great experience at the Dakota! We debated eating here or a different place downtown, and we weren't disappointed in our decision to eat at the venue. All their food was very good, especially the duck gnocchi dish I got that was a special that night. Even their fries were really good! The m
Probably the best concert venue in the Twin Cities. An intimate setting. Diverse array of acts---in the adult listening categories.. Accessible location if emulation is a challenge. 2 block walk at most. Easy location within downtown Minneapolis. Prompt table service. Last show, saw Mr. Robert G
I would of rated 5 if tables weren't so close to one another, and if my seat was in front of stage. Great show, would definitely go back. Food was good.
Great spot for a great meal and program or just program. Intimate space in most cases. Truly a MN staple, the mix may be loud for some and online box office impossible.
Hadn’t been here in years. Took my 21yo daughter on Wednesday night. Great music, food and service. They do a really good job of allowing you to enjoy the music yet being very attentive. I only wish they’d step up the dress code a little. Leave the flip flops/shorts and ball cap at home. This is a c
The entertainment was much better than expected! I would definitely go back. The same is nicely laid out. There are semi circled booths in the back and stand alone tables in the front of the stage. There is an upstairs with additional seating. They serve dinner while the show is being played. The f
Legendary venue and spectacular place for a date night with seating that will put you in arms reach of the amazing artists they host. The food and drinks are exceptional too; I highly recommend their burger, wings, and spiced pecans. Kandace Springs and her band were breathtaking when we went. You’r
This is our favorite venue for fabulous music! We have seen phenomenal musicians here through the years, since the previous location in Bandana Square. It’s not exaggeration to say that living in the Twin Cities is more special because of the Dakota Jazz Club. The variety of bands is exquisite, a w
The Dakota jazz club is still a great attraction. The talent is almost always amazing and they still attract jazz icons which is fantastic. Prices are high but the experience and entertainment value can be higher. I stopped going here because of downtown Minneapolis reputation and pandemic, but I t
My family and I had a very special night at Dakota. It was my mother's birthday and I had purchased tickets for Chris Botti several months earlier. He's one of our musical favorites and we relished the opportunity to hear him live. We took time to review the Dakota menu before arriving and had a
The entire Dakota experience was excellent both times we attended live performances at this venue. The intimate nature of having the performers close to the audience makes the Dakota especially cozy. The food and beverage menu was superb. Staff were friendly, helpful, and attentive. Valet parkin
