The staff was at first, a wee bit stand off-ish. But the second we actually got in the door and seated at the bar and our table everyone was fantastic. We waited a tiny bit, but had no other place to be. The cocktails were so good! The ones on the menu. The food was excellent. The kitchen was open and running like a well oiled machine. Our apps were delivered, we got recommendations for food, we got recommendations for desert. Money was great. Everyone was great! Then we saddled up to the bar. Sam killed it! He made us cocktails that were not on the menu!!!! They were fantastic! We will be back. Blue Plate Group! You have never let us down! Mercury is fabulous! Thank you!

Can't recommend Mercury highly enough. Management and staff are exceptionally friendly and always do their absolute best to meet customers' needs. Food is consistently great-- that tuna tartare though!! Happy hour is on point as well with 2 for 1's on all their beer and single pour cocktails. Love this spot!

Mercury is one of my new favorite spots! The staff and management (especially Constantine and Lydia) make me feel like a VIP every time I arrive. Their popovers and brussel sprouts are to die for and I could eat that turkey burger every day, so yummy. Definitely add Mercury to your must-try restaurant list!

I've been here 3 times. Once for lunch with coworkers, once for a quick after-work cocktail and once for dinner. Mercury is serving some of the best food in the Twin Cities. The stuffed pasta screams freshness and comes smothered in a bright, flavorful sauce. The cheese popovers are everything popovers should be; I'm currently confident that I could easily convince my cheese-hating Grandma to try them. Oh, and the duck salad is going to be something I order regularly. Normally I ask for dressing on the side because I tend not to use a lot and often find it gross. I didn't do that when I ordered the duck salad and I don't have any regrets. The bacon vinaigrette adds flavor without weighing down the greens or resembling anything gross (if you catch my drift.) additionally, even while packed, the service isn't slow. Mercury totally kicks your favorite restaurant's ass.

I had my wedding reception in the Shindig space. We rented out the main level and the rooftop. We heard multiple times that "this is the most fun reception ever" and ""this space is amazing"! The staff was super attentive and very professional. And the food was AMAZING. One of my guests said that his chicken was the best chicken he had ever had which was hilarious to me because who orders chicken when beef and salmon are on the menu!?!? All the food was delicious. The entrees, appetizers, and sides were all thoughtfully planned and meticulously executed. It was a good time and nearly effortless for us which was exactly what we needed! Blue Plate knows how to throw a party.

I work nearby, and have always wanted to try Mercury out. Today I finally took the plunge, and now I'm obsessed! Their food is beyond expectations, and so was the staff! The food is made fresh, and full of flavor. I cannot wait to try out their bottomless bloody and mimosas next. I will be a regular from now on!

Went here on a lark during the blizzard of 2018, service was awesome! My wife had the fish tacos ( cuz she ALWAYS orders the fish tacos) and says, ‘top 3 fish tacos ever!’ I had the crab cakes Benedict! Very very good. Not the best ever, but very good! Overall, excellent!!!

The food was completely top notch, along with the service. Baked chicken, beef ribs, and salmon were the best. The next time we are in town from Michigan this will be on our list to visit again.

One of the best happy hours around. The food is great and the staff are even better - I love coming here. And I have to give a shout out to Chynna for being a rockstar behind the bar!!!

Mercury is an OUTSTANDING restaurant with a diverse menu and excellent wait staff. Their cocktails are creative and the interior design is very sophisticated. A wonderful place to entertain out of town clients or guests, right in the heart of downtown Minneapolis. In addition, they have an amazing event space called Shindig with an elegant private room perfect for meetings and events. I had my birthday dinner party there and was impressed with the service and dinner selection for my guests. I have not seen the rooftop patio but if it is anything like the main restaurant and event space it is sure to be fantastic!

Shanna at the bar was super friendly and gave great service during lunch time. They originally sat me at a table and it took the server a while to get to me so I decided to move to the bar and I’m glad I did. I had the spinach salad with salmon and tried the macaroons for dessert. Yum!

After a dinner elsewhere with another couple, we stopped here for dessert and was so happy we did. Service was great and the entire experience was amazing. Loved the dessert and the menu looked fabulous. Will come in again on our next trip to Minneapolis. Plus the light rail stops right there..so NO PARKING! Hope they get alot of visitors during Super Bowl.

First time here, and it was amazing! Service was great, and food was perfectly prepared and delicious. The Earl Grey Old Fashioned was a beautiful thing! Whatever that salad is that comes with the salmon, I could live off of that. Best salad I've ever had! Will definitely be back.

Great happy hour special! Stopped in for some food on our trip to Minneapolis and discovered it was happy hour with buy one get one on house tap beers. The tap beer we tried was excellent. Food was good. Tried the popovers, which were decent. The chicken sandwich was great as well. The house special fried chicken was also good but the portion was small, I thought it would've come with a side. Our service was excellent both the hostess and waitress were extremely nice. They visited with us, and the server came around the perfect amount. Very impressed with the great service. Overall, it was an enjoyable stop.

This place was well recommended by the staff from the Emery Hotel nearby. It was fantastic to be able to use the Skywalk from the hotel and not have to bear the winter harshness that week. Amazing service (Thanks to Mitchell who was very attentive) and great food. Enjoyed the wild rice a lot. Only one complaint was the lacy of avocado 🥑 in the tuna poke: it was more of a tuna tartare.

They used to have the best happy hour in town. Minus one star because they've scaled back to only offer 2-4-1s on rails and house beer, and their service can be hit and miss. It's still a popular spot for lunch and happy hour. Reservations are a good idea otherwise you may have a wait.

I had the perogies as an appetizer and the crab and avocado salad for the entree. The food was good. It definitely not super amazing considering the price point. The perogies were flavorless without the horseradish sauce. Also they were a little too dense for my taste. But the salad was probably the most dissapointed especially with the portion size. Barely any crab or avocado to speak of. Just little specs here and there with a lot of fluffed up greens to match. Although the dressing was great and the taste was perfect. Attentive service and nice decor makes this a decent spot but be aware of the dim lighting.

Nice casual upscale dinner! They were out of beef short ribs but the New York Strip wasn’t bad and the desert can’t be beat. Side choices great. Comfortable environment, not too loud or quiet.

Fantastic food, spectacular cocktails and extremely friendly staff. I highly recommend the fried chicken; it was superb. They even gave us free cake as thanks for our military service on Veteran's Day. As a bonus: my nephew loved the fact that the light rail trains passed right by the window, it wasn't distracting or loud at all inside the restaurant, he's just very young.

Good food. A little on the higher side. The bathroom is located in an odd spot outside the restaurant and into a lobby.

We made reservations for 7:15 on a Saturday night, but it was not necessary as the restaurant was not even half full. The server was great, food came out quickly, and the food and drink menus have something for everyone. The lack of atmosphere on a Saturday night was a bit off putting, but the main reason for one less star is how my steak was cooked. I had to send it back for coming out way more pink than I had ordered, and when it came back out 5 minutes later, it didn’t look like it had been cooked any longer.

Brunch was good the food is very flavorful and the service is good however the atmosphere is very dull also mimosas come out very slowly. I would say this place is great for breakfast so so for brunch. I wouldn't recommend for groups

Rated based on our Happy Hour experience. Felt good. Beer choices were Freehouse and there were 5 at 2 for 1. Happy hour food options weren't to our liking, too much fried foods and gluten so... we ordered starters off the main menu. Lobster bisque, tuna poke and the meatballs were all very, very good. All in all...happy with our evening. Service was right on. We shall return and try the kitchen bar next time.

The Sriracha cauliflower bites were fantastic. They were so delicious we ordered a second as we finished our first. It's a bit spicy and a bit sweet. Yummy. Also staff was great and made me a cocktail not on the menu. Great happy hour spot!

A very metropolitan restaurant nestled in downtown Minneapolis. Clean and modern atmosphere. The food was absolutely delicious. I had the Grilled Cheese with Avocado along with a bowl of the lobster bisque .... just super tasty. Everyone in the group raved about their food. Our waitress (Jess) was absolutely excellent.... johnny on the spot, knowledgeable and most of all super friendly..... made us feel welcomed. Great customer service. Will be back again on the next visit.

Britt is outstanding. The food is awesome. Highly recommend, if you are in the area. We had the "Joe's special" for brunch. Wonderful ambiance. Make a reservation during rush hours or else you'll have to sit overlooking the kitchen. Don't let the snooty check in person put you off. This place is popular for a reason: good food.
