The two types of gyros were amazing. Both meats, lamb and chicken, tasted great and seemed high quality (not that strange over-processed chicken). Would eat the gyros again in a heartbeat but will be trying the wraps and beef sandwich on my next visits after running into a old colleague of mine at t
This is a great place for people who interested in trying East African food. I ordered the Chapati Wrap, and it only took 5 minutes for them to cook my food. The food was well seasoned, and the quantity size is great. I wish the fries had more seasoning, but aside from that the food taste pretty goo
The food here is great. Love the fries, and the veggie fantastic. Service is quick and friendly. The menu isn't extensive, but there are vegetarian and gluten free options. There's usually a line during the weekday lunch rush, but it tends to move quickly. Not a great space to sit down and chat, but
Was in town to visit the medical center around the corner and wanted something not fast food. well, this food was served pretty fast, but this ain't no McDonalds. Spouse and I had the steak sandwich, and it was very tasty. Nice heat to it, I call things like this a rich heat. It is spicy, but it
The food was stellar. Had the chicken curry and samosas. Tried all three types. The one with potatoes was ok but the steak and chicken was really good. The chicken curry was super yummy. Had me even eating my veggies willingly. The service was fast and friendly. He checked all orders immediately fix
I got the chicken gyro and it was delicious! The service was timely and professional even during lunch.
A nice quick and easy to obtain restaurant by the U of M campus! Was a big fan of their beef bowl. It was super savory and had a lot of beef. The chicken fantastic had decent flavors, but did not have much chicken at all maybe 7 pieces total in a large. The beef sambusas had a great crispy exterior,
Afro Deli and Grill is a vibrant and welcoming hub that merges the cultures of Africa and America in a tasteful and exciting way. The restaurant offers an array of dishes that are both flavorful and wholesome. The Somali Steak Sandwich and Lamb Gyro were standout!
Got the veggie fantastic and my partner got the chicken fantastic. What can I say but fantastic! VERY fast service and incredible price for the portions; we both got 2 meals out of the regular size and it was only $20 total. Will be coming back!
I can't say enough about Afro Deli. I've been here numerous times and everything just keeps getting better and better. In this restaurant, it's a little tight but the it's a nice atmosphere. The staff is very friendly and helpful! I highly recommend the Lamb Gyro with Fries, the price was reasonable
The Somali spiced tea is particularly good. Staff is always really friendly and prompt. The place always kind of looks like a tornado hit it, but it is a pretty busy place, especially with college students.
Loved the sweet potato fries and delicious grilled chicken sandwich. Very fast service despite the crowd.
Upon entering the establishment, I could easily tell why this place was highly distinguished amongst my friends. From the great atmosphere to the relatively low wait time, this place easily deserves a 5 star for it's amazing qualities. After ordering from a vast variety of delicacies, I sat down and
I'll start with the food first. I ordered the chicken curry, chapati wrap ( it came with a salad) and the vegetable sambusa (Stuffed triangular flour pastry appetizer stuffed with sautéed onions, peppers & green chili and potatoes) . The Chicken curry perfectly seasoned with super tender chicke
I’ve been in a few times and each time is a delight! The lamb gyro is amazing and it comes with delicious French fries. I especially enjoy their chicken quesadillas. They also have the best coconut shrimp in Minnesota! This particular location is situated near the Gopher Stadium. Their perfect fusio
First, amazing Chapati: Chicken 8.9, Lamb 8.1, Falafel 7.5 (flavor preferences will vary but the Chapati itself slaps). Chicken Wings, 6.5: sauce is weak and wings are meh (so hard nowadays to find even a decent wing). More important than the food, however, is that you must check your food, because
One of my favorite restaurants in the Twin Cities, and one of the best places to spend your money for many, many reasons. I'll explain. First, you can't beat the fries. They are heaven on a plate. You can't go wrong with the sambusas. Really anything you order here is amazing. Second, they keep th
Yummy lamb gyros. Very large portion, great fries, tasty sauce, if meat isn't that dry, it will be perfect.
