We had a random desire for fish and chips last Monday night, so we decided to give Mac's a shot. I read good things about this place on Reddit and had driven by it a few times, so I had been wanting to try it for a little while.
Got the walleye, halibut, fries, and cheese curds. We don't eat fried
Ordered from google maps and it was ready in under the 10 minutes it took to get there. The cod taco, halibut taco, and shrimp taco total was under 20 before tax or tip. Had it back at the hotel in 10 and it was warm and delicious.

We were greeted with the most friendly smile and attitude. We ordered a 1-piece cod and 1-piece walleye with a variety of sauces. The fish was fresh and crispy. The fries were "real" which we appreciated. The sauce with the jalapeno was a favorite.

Delicious fish & chips! Rivals England's best (according to my sister!) Fresh tasting fish with a light and crispy batter. Fries are great too! Treat yourself and get some cheese curds! Keep bag open on way home to preserve that deep fried crunch!

Mac's is the quintessential fish and chips joint. They have 3 varieties of fish always on offer and occasionally a seasonal 4th. The fryer is kept clean the portions are large and the grub is good. Simple joint, simple menu, fantastic fish n' chips.

First time in Minneapolis. Found Mac's on Google. Swung by from the airport. Wow!!!! I had a Walleye taco and a cod taco. Delish. Husband had traditional fish n chips. Best he's ever had, ever! Great slaw, too. Fish tasty and fresh, batter light and perfect! Place very clean. Tables apart. Very safe
Great food at a great price. Fish and shrimp we ordered were fresh and delicious. Ordered ahead and they brought our food out curbside. Will definitely be coming back. Note as of this review, they are not opened on Sunday so don't try to order online as it will not be fulfilled.

My favorites are the Halibut (pictured), Walleye & Cod. They know how to cook 'em and their hospitality is always spot on. They are so nice!
