This place is great! The rice is always fresh and the quality of meat is good. A cute little mom and pop shop! Very friendly couple. The cheese wontons with sweet and sour is delicious. Love coming here a few times a month

Wonderful restaurant! I absolutely loved it when we came to visit Minneapolis. It's small and adorable with outstanding food. A great place for comfort foods at a more than affordable price. We will not definitely come back next time we are in the area. My compliments to the excellent cooks and staff!
This is not the same take out. If you tried any other oriental food you will love this food. You can order online. GrubHub will pick it up and bring it to you. Always a wonderful caring person behind the counter and in the kitchen. I have turned so many people on to this place. You are definitely missing out if you haven't tried this menu.THIS IS NOT THE SAME COOKIE CUTTER STYLE TYPE OF FOOD PLACE !!
The only way I can describe the food is "they make it how I would if I made it at home". Great ingredients prepared right, no shortcuts. We loved it and will definitely return.
As other reviewers have noted you should definitely give them a call after ordering online -- their online ordering printer seems to be in the back unattended. If you like expensive fancy dining areas this isn't the place for you, take it home.
Have amazing service. They have been at this location for as long as I can remember. We love mei and Lei. Pork fried rice is on point. The sweet and sour chicken if phenomenal. I love they put the sauce on the side so our food doesn't get soggy, must check out this perfect little dive!
This is by far the best Chinese I have had in the Twin Cities area. They are not always the fastest, but it is worth the wait. Everything is delicious; the fried rice is some of the best I've ever had. I always get take out, the restaurant itself is in a very small space with some odd decorations. I wish I still lived close to them!
This place in South Minneapolis can't be beat - wonderful Chinese food, great portions and a reasonable price! I cant say enough for their pork fried rice and egg rolls...but everything we've tried is delicious. Their staff is wonderful also - what's not to like? I ordered lunch for a church staff and we will certainly do that again!
if you follow my suggests you'll never see a 5 star review. why? there is always room for improvement. with that being said, I would give the mei inn a 4.5. wonderful food, full of flavor.
