May Day Cafe - Minneapolis - Photo album

Beats Starbucks by a huge mile. It's not just the coffee that is good and reasonably priced, but the food is also quite excellent. The croissants are freshly baked, some of the best I've had in the US. Also tried the pesto pizza with goat cheese, and it did not disappoint.
Everything about this place is delicious!!! We all enjoyed our food, the atmosphere is so welcoming, there's local art, and the music--bringing back old school, Too Short, 8Ball & MJG, DMX, Biggie, Tevin Campbell...I will be back next time I'm around for lunch. I tried the pizza, compliments to the
A great cup of drip coffee for such a neighborhood friendly price! What made this cafe so cool for me was that it was the customers that were creating the vibe of the place, sort of reflecting the neighborhood culture, blending all good things about this neighborhood into this one small cafe. They
Awesome shop, they have legit breakfast food along with a full bakery case of goodies. Got a latte, my husband got a miel and both were really good. The atmosphere is really cool as well. Will definitely be back!
Little piece of leftists’ paradise. Scone was excellent, so was the latte. Love the thrifty atmosphere. May Day is the definition of neighborly coffee shop. Will be back to try the different breakfast offerings.
How all those amazing baked goods come out of such a small kitchen is a mystery to me. So happy to have this place within walking distance. Also very happy they expanded their hours and days open.
Just an all around lovely place! Great coffee, very homey, cozy interior that is kid friendly, a wonderfully refreshing progressive attitude. Oh and the quiche. Don't let me forget the quiche. A HUGE slice of quiche comes with a small side salad, which proves to be the best deal ever. Try the quich
First time at May Day and it was a great experience. Great place for brunch! We had the vegan curry cashew rice, red pepper lentil soup, cappuccino w/ almond milk, hot apple cider, vegan cherry almond scone, and vegan oatmeal cookie!
Just right for a quality neighborhood coffee shop. The quiche is fantastic, the bakery items are really good, and the coffee is good! I bet everything is good, but I didn't have time to try it all.
Relaxed, comfortable environment that is welcoming and diverse. It can get pretty busy. They do have some very tasty gluten free scones!
