Sorrento Cucina - Minneapolis - Photo album

My first experience - the lasagna was excellent! I was craving Italian food. The caesar salad was interesting, since they used house salad lettuce, but still a good meal
I've been coming here for years. Everything is good. I nearly always get the lasagna, but the items on special are wonderful also. Great meatballs. Great sauce. The BEST Italian salad dressing I've ever eaten. I love it and you will too.
Hard to miss the smell of this place as you walk by in the skyway. Classic Italian dishes like lasagna or other pasta dishes. Prices are very reasonable. For less than ten dollars you can get a very large portion with a salad and bread.
This place is a frequent go-to lunch spot for Downtown Minneapolis workers. Family owned & operated. Always something satisfying on the menu, but come hungry. Even 1/2 portions are large. It's homestyle good. Not fine dining good. They cater as well. We have used that service for employee lunches.
I don't know if they still have daily specials, but on Thursdays, they made Porketta Romano. It comes on pasta, but ask for it on mashed potatoes with a side of vegetables with red sauce slathered all over it. It's wonderful and will feed you to the point of being stuffed at least twice. Also, Ro
Tasty Italian-American food. Great daily specials (1:30-3:00 even better). Incredible value! I'm sitting in front of a good sized piece of lasagna (half order), salad & bread for just over $5.
The food here reminds me of grandmas cooking: homemade and fresh. The prices are not too bad. If you like saving a few bucks there is a late afternoon discounted menu. If you like pasta dishes, lasagna, ziti, spaghetti etc you should try this out.
Thursday lasagna special is amazing. $11 for a massive amount of really good lasagna, 2 pieces of toast (or 1 slice and a side salad) and a soda. You'll need a gurney to get back to the office if you put it all down in one sitting.
I'm super picky when it comes to Italian food. I'm a native New Yorker who grew up eating Italian food at almost every family function, and every Sunday. I can honestly say that this is the best Italian-American food I've had in MN since moving here 3 years ago. This food tastes like home to me.
Italian food is by no means my favorite cuisine, but Sorrento makes me LOVE it. The food tastes fresh, well-seasoned, and the value is perfect. You always leave feeling satisfied and happy.
AMAZING soup. I always get the soup instead of salad with my meal, worth the extra $0.75. Their prices are so affordable and portions so generous (definitely can tell it's family-run) that it comes out way less than most skyway food anyway. Their Penne Rosa haunts my dreams, and I've eaten dang near
Probably some of the best Italian food I've had anywhere...even compared to New York & many parts of Italy. They don't just use the standard Sysco ingredients most restaurants use. Incredibly affordable and great service!
Quick, hearty Italian food! I was really craving some Italian sausage (the food, haha) and found Sorrento Cucina, which I think means Sorrento Kitchen. I don't know the difference between Sorrento food or Rome Food or even Olive Garden really, but this was great! The service line was fast and most
This little gem in the downtown skyway is the perfect place for real Italian food not commercialized food like Olive Garden but real mama mia Italian food!!! The prices are super affordable you can easily get an entrée, salad, garlic bread and a soda for $10.00 and you will have enough food for 2 l
Craving Italian and downtown Minneapolis? Get yourself in the Skyway and enjoy Sorrento Cucina. This place is often busy so arrive early to have seating, otherwise take it to go. The spinach lasagna is a favorite.
Really Friendly staff. One of them is authentic Italian! The food was delicious although by 2pm many of the dishes were gone.
I have been going here for over 20 years, and highly recommend it. My favorite day to go is on Thursday when they have Italian meatloaf as a special!
