Always good food at Walkin’ Dog. Today had one of my favorites chili dogs and a shake. Chocolate Caramel. Tasty lunch. Always enjoy visiting when I’m downtown.

Have eaten at Walking Dog for over 20 years on and off when I have a gig on Downtown Minneapolis. Fast, inexpensive lunch option and still get a tasty meal. I tend to get a Chicago Style and a chili cheese dog with a drink and it is 8 bucks. Get here before it is gone!

Solid value dogs with all the fixings. Confirmed open 11/9/22 (moved locations towards bottom of escalator now)

Haven't worked downtown for about 5 years. Made the trip back as they are closing. Great as always. Appreciate the years they were open later than everyone else, and could still grab something to eat. Best of luck Dave!

You're not going to get a hot dog cheaper unless you bring it from home. Service is slowish due to only one person working the counter but he works fast.

Really great dogs, very much like what you'd find in Chicago. Also a great value in you can still get a lunch in Downtown for around $5 - which isn't easy to find. They also have lunch specials and several different kinds of dog toppings. Old school, solid, and reasonably priced. Kind of tucked away so it won't jump out at you. but it's worth the quest!

This restaurant is a rare gem. Most downtown restaurants are all about trends, and leafy greens and ethnic infusions. All of which are fine and dandy. But walkin' Dog is all about classic hot dogs and polish sausages. They have root beer and milk shakes. And they are open for business in this pandemic. So if your downtown and want a simple meal, you should stop here. I rarely give out 5 stars. But they deserved it hands down for reaming classic and delicious. The owner is always super friendly and fast. Thanks hot dog man.

Great value lunch spot. You can get two hot dogs for $6-7, or two hot dogs and a shake/malt for less than $10. Try the Chicago-style and the chili-cheese to get all the flavors!

Dave has been running a great hot dog stand for many years. You can always depend on him for some delicious hot dogs and tasty malts. Definitely worth the walk to his little shop. Note that he moved to the other side of the building now, closer to the escalators. Much nicer space. Come out and support the guy!

This is a true hot dog experience, rare to find in Minneapolis. The location is perfect, the setting is nice in its simplicity, the food is amazing, and the owner is always up for a quick chat. It's one of the best lunch spots in downtown, hands down.
