Second time being here, first time enjoying my drink at the coffee shop. The staff felt genuinely nice and greeted me immediately. The menu is extensive and I tried something different and got the chaga chai. Menu said it had hints of cacao and mushroom - accurate (even if not my most favorite flavor). Seating inside was full so I sat on the patio-plenty of seating out there and perfect on a fall day!

This coffee shop and roastery is in a great location, nestled in the bustling NE Minneapolis area within walking distance of neighborhoods, parks, and businesses. It's a busy place. The first impression is the aroma, the delicious smell of freshly ground coffee awakens the senses. The menu has a huge variety of choices. The spacious dining room can accommodate large and small groups and workers on laptops. There is a decent sized outdoor patio that does allow pets. I will plan on making this a routine stop.

Good cappuccinos and cortados. Most roasters also have good coffee drinks and Dogwood is pretty good. Other shops in town (e.g. Claddagh) use Dogwood as well. Sorta a destination coffee shop. Not what I’d call a local shop. Quiet at times, jam packed at others. Good outdoor seating area. Tons of off-street parking. But it gets full at peak times. Big brother to the shop on Lake St.
which you should also try out.

We stop at Dogwood every time we pass through the Twin Cities, whether we are close to one or not! The drinks are so good - I’m a latte fan and theirs are the best I’ve had. My husband is obsessed with their seasonal espresso tonics and asks every coffee shop around us if they serve them, but no one delivers like Dogwood! Service is always great and the baristas are excellent. Highly recommend their coffee beans as well!

I was looking for another coffee shop close-by but stumbled upon this one instead. What a fabulous surprise! The space is so beautiful you can't ignore it from the road. I was immediately drawn in by the name. Virginia is my home state and the state flower and tree is a Dogwood. I'm also that person that takes my dog everywhere.
The aesthetics immediately drew me in and the pleasant staff and coffee made me want to stay. One of the baristas saw me taking me a picture of my drink and offered me a paper umbrella to make it more IG worthy. Way to be intuitive and just AWESOME! I ordered a coconut cold brew topped with a banana cold foam, lovingly referred to as "Beach, Please!" I think there was a little crack of salt on it, too. It was so good I couldn't stop telling everyone at work about it. As I was ordering, the person behind the counter noticed me looking at the kouign-amann in the pastry cabinet. I'm not a fan of sweets but he assured me it wasn't too sweet and he was right! It was amazing. Another perfect example of the staff just being awesome. It's too bad my assignment in MN is ending because I probably would've come here every day had I known about it sooner.

Excellent coffee with good vibes. Pastries were spot on and sourced from a local bakery. Nice to see kombucha on tap and hope to try some next time! Would recommend. Fun to have seasonal coffees.

Perfect coffee shop experience! We enjoyed our delicious coffee and amazing pastries on the deck. Staff was incredibly pleasant, professional, and efficient despite a very busy day.

Nice sized coffee shop on the NE side of Minneapolis. Plenty of space to come read a book, get some homework done, or just to simply contemplate all the decisions you’ve made in life. A bright open judgment free zone. Comfy (but stylish) furniture.
I ordered the drink I get everywhere if they have it, the fabled Espresso and Tonic. Guess what? They do it right. The perfect float of espresso lays atop some nice bubbly tonic. A dash of orange bitters 🍊, a candied orange slice and voilà. The perfect way to ingest your espresso in the am. ☕️
We also had a coconut cold brew with banana foam, tbh, this one tasted a bit like sunscreen, but don’t tell me you haven’t wanted to slurp down a tube of sunscreen in your day… well now’s your chance.
I tried my first recorded Kouign Amman here today, a nice flakey, buttery, croissant type pastry. Worth a go.

Dogwood has some nice dog swags, but definitely not enough of them! Very good hot chocolate as well as a solid selection of other coffee drinks and small bakery items. Indoor tables and couches alongside unshaded outdoor seating. Definitely a younger, more hip vibe and crowd. Free Wi-Fi. Bike racks and tetherball out front.

The cardamom brown sugar latte was delicious. Highly recommended
This shop has a minimalist vibe and lots of seating.
