Akwaaba Restaurant - Minneapolis - Photo album

I never had an issue with the place or the ppl. It's an African restaurant. Of course the food is going to take awhile. So plan ahead...Duh!!! And if you have stomach issues with the food, then maybe your immune system is horrible. I love the food of Akwaaba and will highly recommend it to others!!
I order their spicy spinach atleast once a week for lunch. I love this place and I never really ate anything but American food but me and my bf fell in love. They were recommended by 4 of the 6 people on my fb post asking for african food . I stay 25 mins away and I drive to get their food . Just ma
My cousin came to visit me today and decided to get a bite too eat, well she pregnant so we literally sat and went thru all different type of food options😭😭😭😫 until she decided on African Food, then I suggested this place cause ALL THEY FOOD SMACK🎊🎉💣🥳 ( It just takes a while to prepare but worth the
The front desk man and the cook were both super friendly. Helped me out since it was my first time ordering their food, and their food did NOT dissapoint!! Some of the best African food I’ve ever had. 10/10
Warning ⚠️ food made fresh to order may take a while....so either call ahead or just come and entrench your self in a bit of west african culture.... it's Much to see here more than just authentic West african made to order food... groceries, clothes, movies, soaps. Oh and I can't for the staff very
Absolutely love this place, if you understand the culture you understand the taste. They recognize me by face, always a smile on their faces and have the best selection of beverages.
Omg very good Fufu and Egusi with ox tails. First time ever having it and it was amazing I will definitely be back to try other dishes as well ❤
Small restaurant in the back of an African market. It would be easy to miss if you weren't looking for it, but the dishes are delicious and portions extremely generous. Highly recommend the Jollof Rice, which comes with your choice of chicken, beef, or goat. If you like spicy you will absolutely lo
The collard greens were amazing. The servings are large. Best West African food in Minneapolis. I may not have tasted all of them, but I've tried quite a few and this is by far the best. No eat in option but great food
A very nice place when you are looking for an African dish. Customers friendly.
Honestly I love the food. Yes as in the comments it was a little dusty and things were piled, but it doesn't seem like super dirty as far as bugs or anything like that especially with being with some of the packaged food they may have in the actual store portion. I had fufu and egusi (Togo spinach).
