I tried out this bbq joint for the first time today and was really thrilled with them. For starters, the workers greeted us warmly and didn't rush us with our orders. They were wearing the proper ppe including the mask. Hand sanitizer was accessible for anyone to use and the restaurant was extremely tidy. The atmosphere was really laid back. The food came out instantly, which was greasy, since I was starving. It's been awhile since I've eaten real Carolina BBQ. This was absolutely delicious and pleasing. I decided to get the Brisket Platter. I chose hushpuppies over the bun. My sides were mac and cheese and red slaw. The brisket was absolutely amazing. Not dry like most places I've been. I went with the Sweet Tomato sauce to add to it and it was amazing! I was throughly pleased. The hushpuppies are definitely above average. Soooo good! The mac and cheese was extra cheesy and delicious. I never had red slaw before. If you're used to standard cole slaw, this is definitely different. It's not as sweet. It was quite tasty if you are into a more bitter type of slaw. I was thrilled to see that Cheerwine was a soda option here. Naturally, I got it. The price is great! You definitely get your money's worth worth the platter. I left quite satisfied. If you want good, Carolina BBQ, I highly suggest trying this place out.
Consistent quality time after time. The staff are pleasant and most helpful. I very much appreciate the option of curbside service. Our family chose the meal deal and the food was abundant and delicious.
Rock Store Mint Hill is family owned and operated. You don’t find that much anymore and they so it right. They are active in supporting local schools and promote area small businesses. A true gem!
I love BBQ and Rock Store is good. As much or more than I love BBQ, the love Brunswick Stew. I had an unexpected issue with the Brunswick Stew, called to let a manager know and the co-owner answered. I explained the problem and she apologized and immediately made it more than right, the mark of a really good manager. I was impressed by the sincerity and the manner in which she handled the problem. I appreciate ordering from a restaurant whose management does everything they can to fix s problem instead of thinking the customer only wanted to complain. Thank you for your professionalism! I will be a long-term customer!
Great local BBQ. Has some great sides and some of the best country style cornbread. They are generous with their plate portions. Have had pork and chicken and both are good. Four types of sauces (sweet, tomato, vinegar,mustard).
Excellent BBQ, 5 sauces to choose from and the hush puppies are done right! Get your Q on at MH Rock Store BBQ.
