The best place in all South Florida to get real Stew Peas (made w/ pork) all other places I have been to have tried to pass off Oxtail in their Stew Peas. Cool Runnings also has a great Jamaican Breakfast.
So that one bad review scared me but since it's close to work I tried it today... It's really good!!!had the jerk chicken with brown gravy rice and peas . And a fruit punch:)

Easily my favourite Jamaican restaurant in FL. This place is amazing, at least it was when I lived there from 1999-2002. To this DAY I have tried literally dozens of jerk sauce recipes online trying to come close to the taste and consistency of their jerk sauce. The jerk pork is amazing, so fatty, juicy and delicious. I've also tried for YEARS to replicate or find the dressing that they use on their salads. I would literally pay a massive amount of money for their sauce and dressing recipes, and I miss this place every day of my life. I had a business trip to Miami in 2006 and made a special trip of over an hour up to Miramar to get the large jerk pork, rice and peas and salad. Absolutely recommended to the highest degree. Wish they would franchise because I've never found Jamaican food this good outside of the Carribean.
The food is always fresh, and they fresh ingredients, because when I eat it, it always feels good to my stomach. Other restaurants in the area usually send me straight to the toilet.....
Was not here for 6 years still the best oxtail and Chicken curry the best rice and beans just full...full of great flavors

Good spot for a quick fixing of delicious carribean food. Their lunch prices are affordable <$5 without a drink and <$6 with (mini chicken only specials), and the lunch serving is plentiful for the price. Check it out!

I’m Jamaican, been living in South Florida for over 30 yrs & I have to tell you that the ackee & saltfish, johnny cakes, festival, callaloo & saltfish are some of the very best authentic Jamaican cuisine...their soups (especially the red peas soup) are delicious too! Unfortunately, like most of my fellow countryfolks’ restaurants , the service needs improvement. The Irie vibe doesn’t work well for customer service in the food industry.

In response to ROB ALEXANDER, you come in to Cool Runnings complaining the second you walk through the door, and you become very disrespectful because you refuse to accept and acknowledge the restaurant’s policies. You create a scene and storm out saying you’re never coming back...and yet you keep coming back and quite honestly, we don’t need that type of behavior in here. This past experience you’re choosing to play the victim in, you not only behaved extremely inappropriately in front of other customers but you also threw a bottle at an employee because we were out of something you wanted. So to anyone else who wants to behave this way, yes please do eat somewhere else. Customers are NOT always right, and disrespectful ones are not welcome here!
