After a night of drinking at a rock show, we slept in too long to take advantage of the free hotel breakfast (which never breaks my heart). So, as usual, I turn to Yelp to help us avoid the chains and discover the honey holes. The Shack is just that! I'm kind of a southwest food snob, but I'm not a complainer. I asked our waiter what he recommended between three southwestern chorizo offerings...omelet, burrito, or Huevos. He guided me to the Huevos (I had read some good things on Yelp) so I took his advice. My breakfast was perfectly portioned and delicious! We were very hungry after driving out of the woods 2 hours and ready for breakfast. What a delightful surprise to find this place! Trout and eggs fabulous and farmers omelette without the ham plus a gluten free option of corn tortillas all heaven!!! Outstanding coffee and great, friendly service. Absolute stand out!
Third time to visit. Service and food were great! I highly recommend this place.

Loved, loved, loved it!!!! Food was amazing and very filling. Mimosas where so yummy, staff was amazing very kind and helpful. Must try the banana bread french toast!!

Best breakfast in Missoula! You might have to wait a bit but so very tasty and worth it. The banana-bread-french toast is one of my favorites. <3
The blueberry buckle is amazing. The Banana Bread French Toast, is one of a kind. The coffee is the best in town.

I loved everything about this place. It was quiet, peaceful, and the atmosphere was perfect for a dinner. The food was even better. I highly recommend the fried chicken, as it is fried to a golden perfection and is the best fried chicken I've ever had. They also had specials on it, so tackle it whole you can;). This restaurant definetely deserves 5 stars. Perfection!
It's not JUST a quirky breakfast joint for white folks, it's fairly multi-cultural. Check out the Egyptian theme in one room as it melts into the more fitting Mountain Scenery paintings in the main room. I was also surprised at the new age fine art prints of Indians in the men's room. The food, classic American breakfast stuff, and the banana bread French toast was bangin!
It was an alright spot. Atmosphere is very cosy and interesting to look at. Menu is cool and my avocado toast had a generous amount of avocado. Omeletes are good and have interesting options. It was a good breakfast for sure. Coffee is freshly ground and has a steady taste!
Wow - this place was pretty delicious! He had the omelette with mushrooms and cheese but it didn't have a lot in it - I had poached eggs (cooked a bit too long), but also great hash browns and delicious banana bread french toast! Definitely some unique options here - id come back! Staff was just lovely too.
Lately I’ve been testing out different pancakes from different diners and The Shack Cafe is by far the best place with pancakes. They just absorb the syrup. And they’re huckleberry syrup is made in house! The banana bread French toast is delicious. They have a roaring
20’s atmosphere. Clean bathrooms. A hostess that checks on drinks and a waiter that brings the food, so you constantly have someone checking on you! Very good service!
Oh ya! Breakfast here is perfect! I love the omelets, but if you need pancakes, buttermilks the best ♡

Overpriced on some items, however everything was tasty. All three in our group had totally cold hashbrowns. I had trout and eggs and enjoyed it.
The coffee was good. The two I was with ordered mimosas which were just over 10 bucks each. They fresh squeeze OJ into a small carafe and give you a small bottle of prosecco. Probs worth it because it was a couple of servings each.
When in Missoula, I'll revisit. Staff was super nice and the place is clean
