I can't speak for the sushi, but as far as the Chinese half of the kitchen fares, I find it quite enjoyable. Probably my favorite version of General's chicken locally, and their fried rice is made to order using the thicker sushi rice which is also quite excellent.
The only good Chinese place in town. Pork fried rice, gyoza, cashew chicken, sizzling mongolian beef, and the Missoula roll are all favorites.
Just got takeout for the first time. My spider roll was perfect...crunchy, creamy and chewy. The hot and sour soup had very nice texture and just the right amount of heat, and the sashimi was very fresh. We will certainly go back.
Delicious! I had the best experience. I was a little worried about going to a new place especially after reading some of the reviews that were left prior to my visit. Just goes to show you should never judge without personal experience. Best. Missoula. Sushi. Hands down. Yummy. Attentive. Great price. I will be going to again and again that's for sure!
Food is excellent and best sushi we've found in Missoula. Great price for the amount of food you get. Wait staff is friendly, but very slow so be patient, don't be in a rush and you'll love the food!
The Best!!. My family and I actually frequent this restaurant, we love it so much! The food is always delicious and the wait staff are so friendly and attentive. I have never been disappointed by this restaurant, and I would recommend it to anyone who is looking for a great sushi place!

Best Sushi in Missoula. Asahi definitely has the best sushi we've had in Missoula. It's the closest we have found to the amazing sushi places on the coast, San Francisco more specifically. Unfortunately their Chinese food is not that great (save for the coconut chicken, yumm), just frozen veggies etc, but the sushi and Japanese food, seafood, is surprisingly fresh and fantastic! We were super impressed with the variety and price, especially the lunch deals. Yes, the service is a little awkward but you have to step into a different culture for the time span of your meal. Definitely get the shrimp tempura roll and unagi (eel) roll, and ask for extra eel sauce.
I would bet that those with the most negative reviews ate the Chinese plates, which honestly aren't great. Just stick to the sushi.
Sushi was pretty good but the service was horrible. Could hardly understand the waiter and he looked at us like we were idiots. There is definitely a huge language barrier

Over the top for sushi, Chinese, or Japanese style of food. I am Korean and think this restaurant is the best Asian restaurant in missoula. Hands down!!
First visit. My family went there tonight and overall we liked the food. The waiters/owners need to figure out what gluten free is because I am not the only person in Missoula who asks about gluten free items. The waiter had no idea what it meant, he thought it had to do with the sodium level.
Will go again, but may bring my own soy sauce.
I had some iced tea, a wonderful bowl of hot and sour soup, and 8 rolls each of Spicy Girl Roll and Dancing Shrimp Roll sushi. Initial reactions I give this place an A for everything. I plan on coming back.

Me and friend went there and had a wonderful lunch before going to class. The price is great on a collage student budget and I recommend it highly will be back soon
Have been twice and both times the food has been very good. Will return without hesitation.
Overall I liked Asahi. Tried it on a whim when I saw their sushi banner driving down Brooks. I tried several of their maki rolls and some nigiri. They were all good and the fish was as fresh as it seems to get in Missoula. It came with Miso soup, which I didn't love and an iceberg lettuce salad, which wouldn't have been so bad if it wasn't over coated with ginger dressing. My friend had General's chicken which tasted good but I felt it was very under sauced. Really the worst complaint was a waitress who spoke way way too quietly. Between that and the limited English she was hard to understand.
Went here for lunch. The food was perfect but man O' man the outside of this place makes it look like a abandoned building.
We had sushi that tasted fresh and good. There were some other people there having some rice, stir fry dishes that looked good. Their menu is pretty large, so you won't be left wanting, for choices.
So brave the outside abandoned look and go in for a bite. The staff is attentive and helpful
The most amazing sushi at the greatest prices in town I can't stress enough how incredible the services and how well done and presented each plate is. Make sure to stop by and try this place out what you get for your money is unbelievable! Bravo!
From the outside it does not look like a typical Sushi place, but don’t let the outside fool you! It’s GREAT sushi! They have quite the variety and everything we had was delicious.
