Omigosh! I haven't had Indian food in years, since Bombay Brasserie in the Village closed and my favorite chef (formerly ran the kitchen at Ashoka) left Houston. Saw the reviews online and decided to give it a try. I am so happy that I did. Got a huge to-go order of Palak Paneer, Butter Chicken, Tandoori Chicken, Okra Masala, Naan, and more. I ate a full plate, put together four future meals to freeze, and saved enough to feed my son and me tomorrow. Everything was absolutely fresh and delicious! The flavors were spot on and the portions were huge! This place is little hole in the wall and it's a hidden treasure. Give it a try. You won't be disappointed. :)

Authentic Indian food in small mom and pop setting. Owner was very hospitable; came out to talk with us on and off. Dining area was well-maintained and clean.
We ordered garlic naan (didn't skimp on the garlic, cilantro), chicken biryani (love the toasted cashews), chicken tikka masala (perfect amount of tartness), and shrimp curry (pleasant surprise). All dishes were memorably delicious! Highly recommended!
I loved it. Decently priced, good food. I got shrimp vindaloo and garlic naan, not quite sure they gave me the vindaloo but something similar. Either way I had a large portion with a lot of shrimp and ate it all in one sitting. Will definitely be back. 👍🏾
The food was great, true South Indian cuisine. The bathrooms not so great. The place is small so may want to take-out if your party is more than four people. We went on a Sunday for buffet.
Absolutely amazing food! We also had a wonderful experience eating here. The dishes are handmade and fresh. I teared up with every flavorful bite. Everything my wife and I tried was full of delicious homemade flavor.
I noticed that in the Gulab Jamun dessert the cardamom wasn’t just chopped, but ground by hand to get the perfect consistency. This is the sort of attention to detail that distinguishes Chettinad from other restaurants.
We had the Calamari Cochin, Lemon Pickle, Lamb Korma, Okra Masala, Tamarind Rice, Masala Tea, and Gulab Jamun. We ordered a lot because we wanted to try a little bit of everything. My wife and I both ate until we were beyond full and have leftovers for another meal. I recommend everything and will be back to try more dishes!
Excellent cuisine. We had the king fish curry and the pomfret curry with a shrimp starter. The seafood was fresh, delicious and well presented. Easily the best seafood curry we have had, and we have tried a few in the course of our travels. The pricing was very fair as well. Highly recommend.
Excellent food and responsive service at a very reasonable price. We will be back!
As a Malu, I am sick of only seeing North Indian style restaurants. The only time I was able to get some south Indian fare was to go back home to have my mom's cooking. I was happy to see a South Indian restaurant near me, I had the kappa and meen curry from their buffet and it was great. I went back for seconds. I will be coming back when I get the itch for some old fashioned home cooking.
YUM! My family has lived about 2 minutes away from this place for YEARS. We finally tried it today and we were wowed. Great portions + great taste + great price! We’ll be back.
No me some in service here, they only do catering orders. The food was very tasty and not excessive oil like at other establishments. Highly recommended if you h have a party, and you want something with authentic South Indian flavor. Try the Biryanis or a naan with a meat sauce. I'm confident you will like it.
Yesterday was the second time visiting this establishment for dine in services. My previous visit was pre-covid. Just wanted to give them a shout out. From the minute my family and I walked in to have lunch to the minute we left, the service was impeccable. The host was friendly. The food was AMAZING! I heard they are closing dine in, which is kinda sad since it would have been nice to have a place to go but I understand why the restaurant decided to go to take out. Looking forward to my future visits. One of the best South Indian places in Houston.
Got the chili chicken and shrimp curry with mango and it was delicious, especially with their paratta
I heard this place was a good place to go eat Indian food at. It's a little hole-in-the-wall here in Missouri City Stafford area. Don't let the outside fool you inside is really styled as nice as it could be for a small little spot. The food was delicious. We went for Buffet they had a great variety, everything was fresh and the naan bread is probably the best I've ever had. Service was really good and very friendly. And the price was beyond reasonable. I would definitely go back.
The food and service here is amazing and top quality. It is affordable and overall great for catering. We really enjoyed it, definitely coming back soon!
I've been here when it was a dine-in restaurant which had an awesome Kerala lunch buffet on Sundays. Now, the establishment has switched to takeout and catering only. Bit of a bummer as the buffet had items not on the current menu. As for the takeout menu, I'd recommend the lemon rice, chicken 65, biryani, goat curry, vegetable chettinad, and fish molee. Chettinad is a local go-to for quick Kerala takeout. The flavor has lessened of late so I'd suggest asking to kick up the spice level to compensate. I'll edit this after trying more items worth writing about.
