OMG.....why have we never eaten here before??!!! The food was amazing. I had the Torta Ahogada….. DELICIOUS!!! The tomato broth adds such an amazing flavor. A must try if you haven't already!! We also tried the Mahi Mahi Tacos so fresh and full of flavor.... My husband had the Cuban and although I just knew he was wanting my sandwich - we both agreed the Cuban was delicious and as good (or better) as any Cuban I have ever had (being Cuban and to Miami a dozen times - I believe I am a pretty good judge!!). Our server was so helpful and pleasant. We will definitely be back!!
It was like gourmet Mexican food! It was beautifully prepared as well as delicious. We had a sample platter of four different flavor of tacos, a trifecta of sauces for dipping chips, a shrimp po boy, and a Boss Hog burrito. Everything was fantastic! I loved the open kitchen area, too. Can't wait to go back!
Our first trip to Rooster ' s tonight and it was fabulous...I had the mahi taco and cubano sandwich Donna had torta which was to die for and carnitas taco...finished up with a brownie- cookie desert and wow...we will be back. The food looks and tastes superb!! We enjoyed every bite and can't wait to come back for something new next time. The staff was a delight , and the food came out fast. This is one place downtown you have to get to!
Highly recommend. Food is amazing. In particular, I enjoyed the guacamole, corn/avocado salad and a couple different tacos. Guacamole is the best I've had outside of Texas. Really interesting, in a good way, selection of beer. Service was great. It was a relatively crowded night with a concert happening at the Saenger. Our meal arrived in a timely manner and we never had to wait for beverages. Staff was really friendly.
The Mobile downtown restaurant scene has always been solid, but the addition of Rooster's, has provided patrons with a Latin American option that does not disappoint.
I have eaten at the restaurant and used them for catering and the service and food are exceptional!
My sister Jeanne and I had lunch here today; it was our first time trying it. I had the shrimp soft taco and loved it and Jeanne had the hen house burrito which she shared with me. We were both pleased with the food and the fun atmosphere and the use of a book in place of the typical check tray was a very creative touch; we’ll be back for sure!
Enjoyed the Mango Margaritas and the variety of burritos and tacos we ordered. The size of the burritos was quite impressive! Taco choices were great!
We’re visiting from California and found Roosters to be a comfortable place with great tasting food! Our serve was attentive to us and knew her menu! Can’t wait to come back!

From service to playlist to food, this place was the best choice for us! Can’t wait to go back, but too full to eat now. Though my son wanted to take home fish tacos just in case they’re not available again while we’re around! Hubby and I each ordered different tacos to share - all were amazing! Can’t even pick a favourite...
It is absolutely and consistently delicious, fresh, and made to order, all right in house! I have never had anything less than a fantastic meal here. If you are in downtown Mobile, you should be eating at Rooster's.
Some of the best tacos I've ever eaten and that includes the ones out west and Mexico. Friendly and courteous staff.

By far the best burrito I’ve had in my life. I loved it so much I came back the fallowing night with my wife and daughter. Don’t waste your time with the boring Mexican restaurants in town, trade your number 50 or L 13 in for some authentic cuisine.
The food is amazing and the servers are friendly! Some reviews said the service is slow, but this is not a fast food establishment. They are preparing everything to order and that shows in the quality. One of my new favorites and will recommend to all of my friends!
