Carpe Diem was my home-away-from-home for nearly 6 years as I studied at Spring Hill College. This coffee shop has the best atmosphere and staff of any coffee shop I have ever visited, and I have traveled all over the US, been to Canada, Mexico, the Republic of Ireland and Northern Ireland. None match the atmosphere or service these guys have.
This place has the best coffee in Mobile!! I am a barista myself and am very picky when it comes to coffee!! I am from Australia where coffee culture is massive!! 10/10 guys on your fabulous store ���
This is a place you need to go to because as soon as you walk in you're greeted with the most wonderful aroma of coffee. I had such a difficult time deciding whether to get coffee or tea (so many good choices!) that I just listed some that I would get until later. I had found some chocolate covered coffee beans and a mug to satisfy myself until I could come back, and would visit multiple times. It's very close by to my school so if I ever need that special coffee/tea fix that's where I'll be. Very wonderful staff and environment and I have a feeling it will be one of my favorite places in Mobile.
One of my favorite places in town. Ham and cheese croissant and mudslide - I could eat those every single day. Amazing food and service. Only don't go between 2-3pm unless you can handle a massive amount of middle school kids from St Paul's. Not Carpe's fault, just some parents think the place is a daycare.
Great coffee, the workers are really smart and let me tell you something... eye candy. Best experience I’ve ever had at a coffee shop. I cant say I have any complaints.

We were down for a visit with my daughter at Spring Hill College and she recommended your shop. It was so cozy and we loved the breakfast food and coffee. I also bought 2 coffee mugs that my daughter will love. I can't wait to visit again.
My daughter and I love this place! It smells amazing when you walk through the door! They took a very old house and made it into a coffee shop. The atmosphere is great and you can sit and drink your coffee Inside or out and the coffees and frozen coffees are the best. My favorite is "peanut butter scream"! We live about an hour and a half away and travel to mobile at least once or twice a month. We never leave without stopping by. The coffee sits just off the street that is lined with huge Spanish water oaks that were planted 200 or more years ago that are absolutely beautiful!

Adjacent to Springhill college. We visited on parents weekend. Great hot breakfast sandwiches, great service and the best Caramel Macchiato I have ever had!
Enjoy the atmosphere and the cappucinos there very much. Upstairs is ideal place for little receptions and (ahem!) book signings!

Carpe Diem is not just a coffee shop. Its a community. The owners are great people, and the employees are the best. I am grateful for all the friends i have made here. And the coffee is superb. There is more then just coffee in your coffee cup from carpe , there is respect and love on that flavored snickerdoodle, or iced alpine mocha. Carpe diem is addictive. You just cant stop going there.

A community staple and and must for excellent coffee. All ages and professions mix and mingle here. A Sunday morning is complete with a hot breakfast sandwich and an nice cup of always freshly roasted coffee. Staff is a pleasure to worn with, tables go quick on the weekend and during exams times.
