The food here is pretty darn good. The flan was the best I've ever had. Drinks are very strong and delicious. The coffees are hard to find usually, so the fact that they had a selection on their menu meant a lot to me. I actually went 2 days in a row to not feel like a fatty, ordering everything I wanted in one visit. The chips, beans, and salsa off the bat is always a nice welcome. Highly recommend it. The Cadillac margaritas are 💪 💪 .

Have eaten here dozens of times, as we lived in Molalla for years, and have NEVER had a subpar meal here. It's always yummy! Sergio & family are awesome people, and they make excellent food! Go here, support a small family biz, and get some great Mexican grub!

Food was good. Service was fast for a big group (12), but a bit impatient during the order collection. A local friend of mine frequents this place often and knows the owner and says she is always that way. Price was very reasonable: $200 (remember, 12 people). Interior is a bit dated and warn.

This is a real treat of a restaurant out here in Molalla. I would have to say this is one of the better Mexican restaurants I've had the privilege of experiencing. Highlights: All the meals were great, but it really does depend on what you order. They include beans with the chips and salsa, which I have to say, the beans were really good. I'd also have to say that their flan was absolutely fantastic. A little wet, but awesome flavor. The only negative; who ever the woman was that took our order, I was NOT impressed. She needs to give people a chance to finish their order before moving on and she needs to get the orders correct. The guys were all right there to help and fix the problems. Overall, it's worth the drive (I came from Tualatin) to have some awesome food.

I eat a lot of Mexican food but normally don't review them because I feel like they are all so similar that it's not worth the time. However, I do like reviewing the really good ones and the really bad ones. El Charrito is a really good one. The restaurant is small and old. It seemed slightly under-cared for at first but as I sat and watched I witnessed the staff cleaning meticulously the entire time I was there. The staff were polite, but non-intrusive. I didn't feel bothered nor did I feel like they needed to swing by more. Now for the food. Goodness gracious. It was simple and delicious. I ordered the Pollo a la Plancha. I'm a black beans not refried beans type of guy. I don't know what they did to their black beans but they were fantastic. The chicken breast was butterflied and grilled; so tasty and not dry. The chicken came with sauteed tomatoes and onions that were tasty and not greasy like most restaurants I've had similar dishes at. I asked for a fresh, sliced jalapeno which the maitre d brought me. It was nice and spicy. I ate every bite, which I don't normally do, and wish there would have been more even though my stomach didn't agree. Needless to say, I would definitely recommend El Charrito and I can't wait to go back.

Always great, fast and friendly service! The only complaint I ever have is that my youngest child (now 7) always burns her hands on the hot plates. Not exactly blaming them, it would help the situation if they said hot plate and put it away from younger kids.

I'm surprised I haven't written something about this place before, since it has such good food and drinks. We actually measure the food we find elsewhere with this one! First, they have a big dining room, that can accommodate all sizes of groups, and the service is usually pretty quick. Chips, salsa, and refried beans always start out your trip here, which is great for when you have extra hungry people in your party :). Drinks are large and good, and the food is just downright delicious. We've never be served cold or flavorless food, and they're always attentive to what we want, and how it is prepared. Lastly, and not the least, they have good wheelchair access in both the upper and lower areas of the restaurant. The only thing they're lacking is an ADA bathroom, but given the quality of the service and food, we let that slide.

Food is consistent and not many sit down places are open in the night in downtown mollola. Always friendly staff on top of taking care of the customer!

Tried it for my daughter's birthday in September and have been back 3 times already! Ask Sergio for either the Cadillac Margrita or the consuelo...you will be delighted!
