🤤!! I have always drove past this place and never knew about it. So glad my coworker recommended it. Will be coming back to try other foods. The lunch special I got came with the ravioli, garlic bread, and a salad! Great Price too!
Small shop. Nice and dandy. Cool folks. First time here, they recommended the cold sub NY. Awesome stuff. I like the smaller private family style shops. Will drop by to try more subs n sandwiches

So prices have gone up since my last visit, but I have to admit, I’m not mad. Who’s prices haven’t gone up since Covid? It’s still a great value and they are definitely less expensive than some other sandwich spots I frequent.
Anyway, don’t get near Montebello as much as I would like anymore, so when I do, you try to grab a roast beef sando since it’s pretty unique here. The believe it’s still made on the store, so you are not getting sliced up deli meat that you can get anywhere. I was also craving a sub, so I got both which was a mistake. Two large sando’s for less than $18 is a deal, but I ate half the sub on my drive home, so I only had enough room for about a 1/4 of my roast beef :). Happy to have left overs, so all good there, but I definitely will gain weight if I order like I did.
Service is always spot on. This trip was a call ahead order which they said would be ready on 10 mins, but told them was 20 mins away, so they said they would hold off a bit before making so it would be fresh. How cool was that.
Best straight forward sandwich and prices in the San Gabriel valley for sure. I have a Italian sub option in another city when I need it, but Tony’s is my only spot for roast beef!!!!
Their Raviolis and Meatballs are so delicious!!!! First time ordering last week and already came back multiple times. Love the New York Sub as well 😁
This is a great place for sandwiches! I miss the string cheese though! The manufacturer did not survive the pandemic. The staff is friendly and professional!

The first time my friends and I went to Tony’s for lunch. We were in high school. Now some 30 years!!?? 30 YEARS!!! Wow! The place is alway clean and people are 😎 alway nice!!! The sandwiches are tasty I get the New York sandwich with extra lettuce and the potato salad. The pizza is flavorful but a little oily good though. If your on Whittier Blvd in Montebello around lunchtime check them out. Think you’ll be happy you did!
What can I say about Tony's Deli. Located in Montebello, right down the street from Montebello High School. Used to go here for lunch during school or after practice. Now a 4th generation runned Italian Deli. Everything hand made. This run was for their fabulous Godfather Jr sub sandwich 🥪 since I was running from San Bernadino, had to pick up enough for myself and a couple of my kids. The whole family travels far just to kill their craving for their sub sandwichs. A staple we grew up with from back in the days of growing up in ELA. A must try.
