Romantic ambiance great staff Steak… not our favorite it’s cooked well but they add a house sauce to every steak that we weren’t expecting and we enjoy our steak with out sauces.. desert was good must order the pavlova!
Overall it was a good place to eat. There were a few issues with our food that bring the stars down. The filet mignon and lobster were under cooked which by the time they were redone made the sides cold. So not a great experience to have different temperature foods. Service was really good. Atmos
Perfectly cooked steak. Great options and presentation. The wedge salad was delicious, especially with the house made Roquefort dressing. The waiter was great. It would be nice if the ravioli appetizer was a bigger portion though. Not much to share
FYI I was in the Meat business for over 42 yrs. This place carries prime cuts of beef. I had Filet & Lobest one of the best preparations that we have had in years. Abel was outstanding 👏
Blown away, I was not expecting this to be so good. Wonderful meal from the fresh table side Caesar salad to the dessert. The filet was perfect. The desserts were amazing. Worth every penny. The service was amazing as well. We were a group of eight and had amazing service and a great meal together.
My boyfriend and I just got back from this place, and it was definitely a phenomenal experience. Shout out to our waiter Paul was fantastic, and very attentive and knowledgeable about the different dishes that were served. I got the slow cooked prime rib and my boyfriend got the beef wellington and
Classic steakhouse with great seafood options. Tasty caesar salad for 2 made tableside. Husbands prime rib was so tender you could cut it with a fork. Cooked perfectly. I had fresh local sand dabs lightly battered. Delicious. Good wine list with many options from the central coast.
One of the most scrumptious dinners we've ever had! Absolutely loved every dish we ordered from fresh delectable oysters, soft as butter escargot to creamy sumptuous crab risotto, perfectly cooked steak and finally the best Pavlova we've ever had. Highly recommend this wonderful restaurant to anyone
The food was excellent. However I will say the appetizer I ordered (Ravoli) wasn't even filling, it had only five pieces but it was delicious. The steak was fantastic and I even tried escargot for the first time. The dessert was divine. Very light and fluffy.
Excellent service with most pleasant waiters. Table side tossed Cesar was delicious and fresh. Lovely artichoke. Porter stake was more rear then medium, on a chewy side, and did not feel matching the price. Great wine selection with even better markup 🤑 Desert are plentiful and all looking inviting,
Wow! We ate at the bar on Mother's day. Food was delicious, Waite staff was efficient and friendly. The front of the house was managed flawlessly. Thank you for the Mothers day long stem rose. Good job overall!
I wanted to start this review with a John Steinbeck worthy description of the scene. ‘Ocean air filled my lungs with zest, the sky was gloomy like a Nirvana fan, as summer slowly crept on in modern Monterey. We entered the establishment with empty stomachs and hopes high, holding hands like the otte
Came here on Saturday night around 7:30 with no reservation with a party of 2 and was able to be seated at the bar right away. I typically enjoy sitting at the bar, but this time was even more special thanks to our bartender/waiter Ryan. He was friendly, super attentive, and made recommendations. Th
I was treated like a queen for my birthday dinner! We wanted to go somewhere a little special and I wasn't disappointed. Everything was delicious and cocktails were strong. Our server was A1 and knew how to make pur dinning experience amazing. Highly recommend.
OMG!! Food delicious.... service on point all the way to the buser, everyone very friendly. This was a first time going to this place for a celebration. I've lived in this area most of my life, i can't believe it's taken this long to go here. Yum so good 😋 🍤🦐🍰🥩
My aunt and I came here tonight for dessert and drinks. Our bartender, Ryan, was very knowledgeable, friendly, and made fantastic drinks. We ordered the creme brulee, tiramisu, and the pavlova. The pavlova was to die for!!!! It was my first time there and I absolutely loved the atmosphere.
This historic restaurant in Monterey is an absolute gem. It's stunning inside and out with lots of nostalgic charm. It was the haunt of Steinbeck, doc Rickets and many more notable people of the day. The food was delicious and plentiful. We had the crab cakes, blackened prawns and a stunning roquef
